How to consume more books
By Truth in Miscellaneous
One activity that I enjoyed doing while in Quixtar was the reading of the books. While I would have preferred to get the book I wanted rather then just the book they were sending out that month I still enjoyed the task of reading nonetheless. I have often been told that going to a bookstore with me is much like the age old story of men going shopping with their wives. But I believe that reading on a regular basis is one of the best things you can do. One of the recent posts on one of my favorite sites lifehack.org has tips on how to become a glutton of reading with listed benefits of reading and tips on how to read even more books this year.

When I was a kid (50+ yrs ago) my father would bring home 3 newspapers per day. I would read the comics, as I didn't understand too much else. When a little older, I would buy and read a new comic book each week. They told a story, had a plot and required you to think.
I credit those 2 things with giving me the reading comprehension skills I have today.
And yes, I still love to read.
My brother still has a massive collection of comic books. They were always and still are a great read.
It's not consuming books!
It's PROsuming when you buy from your upline!
Why is it that I can spend hours and hours in a bookstore...
...but a library might be kryptonite as far as I'm concerned?
Odd.
Maybe the Dewey Decimal system doesn't have the marketing punch I'm looking for.
LOL @ Rocket!
The tape speak never ends!
I've never been a big reader, myself, unless it's a Sports Illustrated, or ESPN the Magazine. I'd rather be out shooting hoops, playing football, working out etc etc etc. I hate being in the house.
However, I did read Eric Scheibeler's "Merchants of Deception" and I enjoyed it very much.
Rocket-- please accept my apology for my last comment. I didn't realize you were being sarcastic (hard to pick that up on the read alone)
But after reading some of your other comments on different topics I realized you were joking around with your comment here.
My apologies
Then this is obviously not the other Tony.
Tony the karate champ..
Tony the future diamond...
Tony-bot.
Which Tony is this?
Pro, anti, or indifferent to Quixtar/Amway?
No apology necessary.
I love to read. It has enhanced my vocabulary. Novels are my favorite and biographies, too.
