Question your upline
By Truth in A/QMOs
Just about everyone I have ever talked to who has been in Quixtar has agreed that one of the standing rules was to never question your upline. I always get a little uneasy when someone tries to put themselves in a position to never be questioned or challenged. It seems as if they have something to hide, that they don't want exposed.
Now I can understand that it can be disruptive for someone to come into a group and start causing issues by questioning every last piece of advice given by an upline, especially if that is being done in the group. But unfortunately it seems all too often that is not the reason for this "rule" if you will. Too often this rule seems like a good way to get downline IBOs to do, act, and dare I say purchase the way the uplines want them to.
But if you are an IBO you should never forget that the "I" stands for Independent. Now I am all for teamwork and I understand teamwork, but if you are an IBO I would think that your first priority would be the profitability of your business. With that in mind if your upline is giving you advice that you are not very sure of I think it would be in your best interests to ask all the questions you can until you are sure you either want to do this or not.
In many cases upline IBOs are no better at business then the IBOs under them. Granted many uplines have had some experiences that one can benefit from, but in no way do I see that as a reason to never question them. Learn from their mistakes, get feedback on ideas you have, even listen to what they say you should be doing with your business. All of those things can serve you well in the long run. But never forget this is your business, not your upline's and they should never be put above being questioned. After all, if their advice was sound they wouldn't care about any questions.

Happy Thanksgiving!
By Truth in Miscellaneous
A post that really needs no more to be said. So stop reading this blog, go watch some football, eat some turkey or whatever it is you have today, don't forget the troops who are not home with their families, and most importantly give thanks.

That Sounds familiar
By Truth in TEAM
"...Quixtar knows it's products are nearly impossible to sell, and that it's business opportunity is therefore not viable except as an illegal recruitment pyramid."
"...IBOs have no choice but to continue purchasing and consuming overpriced Quixtar products and recruiting new victims into the pyramid scheme, since that is the only way to make money with the Quixtar business opportunity."
The above quotes are taken from the Preliminary statement of the complaint that was filed by Orrin Woodward and others against Quixtar. Perhaps I am missing something here but don't those kinds of comments sound very familiar?
It is comments like those that the critics have been saying ever since Quixtar launched, and it was the pro-Quixtar crowd, including many TEAM IBOs who said the critics were lying. Critics said the products were priced too high and out of left field would come the supporters crying that the products were competitive and would say that the value of the Quixtar products were better (which by the way is a garbage excuse that I will be happy to destroy in a later post).
Critics would say that Quixtar was nothing more then a pyramid selling products to people they recruited. Once again the supporters started whining and crying about the FTC decision, the buy-back rule, and the 10 customer requirement. Of course the critics would make a good case that the FTC decision was not being followed, the buy-back rule was a joke, as well as the 10 customer requirement. Of course the supporters would simply say the critics were lying.
So where does that leave TEAM? Are they just a bunch of bitter, broke losers who were not cut out to be in business and were unwilling to do what they had to in order to be successful? So what's changed?
The way I see it nothing has changed. As I read the entire complaint it was apparent to me that the leaders knew what the critics were saying was right all along. They simply tried to correct it behind the scenes all the while continuing to tell the faithful downlines how great the business opportunity was. If all that is in the complaint is true then I admire the fact that the leaders were trying to get the prices lowered and make retailing easier. However, I can't help but find it at least unethical to continue to promote a business opportunity that they believed to be operating in an illegal pyramid fashion.

Back to Business
By Truth in Blog News
It's been quite a break from writing here but things will be picking up. Things have been busy for me but in a very good way. There were and still are many ambitions that I needed to take time out to pursue and because of that, I wanted to find out if I really wanted to keep on blogging in addition to all the other things I had and would have going on. So in accordance with Qblog's advice in one of his Blogging 101 posts I took a hiatus to see if I would get an itch to keep blogging. At first it seemed as if I was done since I didn't find the need to check the sites or read the message boards. Even after the TEAM fiasco (which I think is friggin hilarious, more on that later) I didn't feel the itch to write.
But as of late the itch to blog has just kept getting stronger so I know I need to get back into the business of blogging. As far as my blog (Quixtar Inside Out) I will no longer post there. I feel Quixtar Blog is really the main hub of much Quixtar discussion and it was the community I was a part of long before I started my own blog. So because of that I will spend my time keeping this blog active with posts and getting comments approved as quick as possible so discussions can go on spam free.
So check back more often as there will actually be something here to read. I won't be able to control if you will like what you read or not, but you can always leave a comment to tell me how much it sucked, and that should help some.
