Amway TV Commercials

By QBlog in Amway

Is it just me or does it seem like these TV ads are more of a PR move to help out Dick DeVos than an effort to really market the Amway brand?

Yep, the second one especially sounds like a PR ad, with all the talk of jobs. I thought the commercials would be about giving their products more brand recognition.

Is this a new commercial? Because they never mentioned Quixtar.

I believe that Amway/Quixtar corp. is a great place to work. I don't even think anyone would argue about that. But that lady met her husband there? I'm happy for her, but frankly, what does that have to do with anything? (Sorry to sound so harsh, but it seemed kind of pointless.)

I guess we have to wait for the other ads, but I hope they advertise the products so that IBOs have an easier time retailing. Because, right now, it seems like QBlog's suspicions are on the money. Right now it looks like a covert ad campaign for Dick DeVos. But I'm not surprised. He's not doing anything an astute politician wouldn't do. ;)

DING DING DING!

I was wondering when someone was going to "get it".

Dick DeVos running for Gov. + the biggest lawsuit in the history of the company = the need to "support" our IBO's through an ad campaign.

You are absolutely right. It's the first time in 20 years that Amway has gone on the air -- and they're even doing it as Amway! That says "damage control."

It's the DeVos campaign melting down in the face of being behind in the polls after spending millions of dollars to make himself look as good as possible.

Mmmmm, I see your youtube links are to the videos I uploaded and posted on my site The Truth About Amway and Quixtar.

But no attribution at all from Mr Janssen, aka QBlog. Hi quality journalism there Eric.

O_O Thats not an ad for quixtar right??That better not be >.

You notice they barely mention the people actually selling the products? The focus is definitely on the oh-so-productive warehouse/ manufacturing/ marketing end. Amway equals jobs for Michigan, and if Amway is good for Michigan--(insert political campaign here)????

I've got a better storyboard for their commercials--a lowly IBO driving home late at night from yet another function, trying to stay awake behind the wheel with an energy drink in the sticky console cupholder of his on-its-last-tires Dodge. Add a seatful of unsold product, self-help books, and CD's riding shotgun. Score the scene with the lilting voice of the latest flavor-of-the-motivational-month speaker. Where's the glamor now?

No No ladies and gentlemen that is not the commercial. The commercial wont come out on tv for a few weeks. I have seen the commercial and it is in fact pretty sweet. All the non believers or doubters or anyone against Quixtar will definitely at the least rethink their previous beliefs. It is nothing NOTHING like that whatever it is, Amway Commercial. At the end of the commercial they say "a business powered by Quixtar" you won't be able to miss it. You will see
