Moving on...
By Xanadustc in Miscellaneous
I would like to announce my retirement from the great debate. When I first set out to do this work, I was not certain if it was something that I would be doing long term, or short term. Like all things, I took it to the Lord in prayer. It was actually something that I prayed about for over six months. I was pretty sure in March that I was going to stop, so I selected the one year anniversary of the founding of the Standing Order Tape site as the appropriate closing day.
I wish to extend a special thanks to Qblog for the privilege of writing for QuixtarBlog. I certainly never sought out to do such a thing, but I was granted the opportunity anyway. It was a great privilege to serve with Qblog, Drew, and Preston.
As successful as I have been in this debate, I have been equally successful in other areas as well. I have over 40 kids that I have mentored in some way. Over half of those are very regular. I lead kids in Sunday schools, camps, clubs, as well as a few other things. I am also in the process of completing a doctorate degree which adds time and stress constraints. Further, I am building an online educational resource website around my hobby which leads me the offers to perform demonstrations for schools. With all these commitments, I need to cut some things out, and this debate is one of the things that I wish to end.
I would like to recap now with a brief accounting my life since I saw this thing. It was July 2000 when I first saw Quixtar. I first became a member, then an IBO. Since early on in my involvement, there were two major negative impacts on me. The first was my grades in college dropped drastically. To give you an idea, it was that single semester that caused me to drop from Summa sum lauda to Magna cum lauda. My interest in college work stopped almost instantly. This was a very bad thing. The next thing that happened is that I started to accumulate debt. I was totally against credit card use prior to Quixtar, but afterwards, it was easier and easier to use a credit card because of the fact that material things were seen as being so important. There were other negative consequences to me but those are the two that are the deepest seeded and they are the ones that still get in my way today. I have also noticed that with the sole exception of a small period at the end of 2004, ever since I have seen Quixtar in 2000, it has dominated a large chunk of my life, both as a participant, and a critic. I wish to recoup that lost time in my days, weeks, and months.
I am pleased to report that my credit cards are paid off, but I still have over $25,000 of other debt due to my involvement in this business.
Should you wish to keep up with me, I will be devoting a little of the time spent on this site to my new ministry site, religious debates Forum, and blog called Our Walk in Christ. I will also continue to check my email should you with to contact me: xanadustc@hotmail.com.
I have a little bit more detail on of my retirement on my post on Standing Order Tape today.
With this, I say farewell, it has been fun. Good luck in your endeavors,
Over and Out,
Xanadustc

X, Wow , I'm really going to miss your posts on here. You helped me to see a great many things about Q* . Also you taught me a greay many things that will help me in my personal life. Good luck to you and go with God. GAE
Thanks for all you've done to get the Word out! God's blessings to ya!
Thanks X, it's been a pleasure!
Good luck, X. I've enjoyed your blog and your writings here. You'll be missed.
X
God Bless you and your family. Will miss you slam dunking Insider
X,
You have provided an invaluable service to people researching the AmQuix opportunity. You will be sorely missed!
But I will definitely look forward to reading your "Our Walk In Christ" Blog.
Good luck in all your future endeavors, and God bless you.
Xan,
I recall you saying that you were analyzing 1 tape each week. How many of the 375 BWW tapes that you have in your personal collection, have you analyzed so far?
I know you are moving on to other things in life - BUT, I still think (I guess in a selfish kind of way - sorry), that it is a pity that AmQuix prospects won't get to see the continual exposure of cult-like aspects of the AQMOs, especially BWW.
Best of success in whatever you choose to do X. But I have to ask $25000??? I've been an IBO for soemthing like 8 years and haven't spent anywhere near that much *total* on expenses. What the heck were you doing?
perceptive - I don't have a monopoly on the idea, I would be greatful if someone else took my place.
Insider - I was being CORE, I know that you are not in American BWW, so I do not expect you to be fully aware, but the details are in my 40 page detailed story that you can find on my site.
Before you critize me for 'spending to much' or whatever, just remember that I took the teaching and mentoring SERIOUSLY and was doing what they said to do because I trusted them. That, sir, is the problem we have been trying to get through the thick skulls and warped teachings of the MO's
Everyonse else - Thanks for the kind words!
Best wishes; and thank you for sharing a "Success Story" that is truly heartwarming!!
Deb
Xanadustic,
Even though we tend to agree to disagree, I highly respect your opinions, and I wish you much success with everything.
Xan - I'm sad to see you go. I've appreciated all the tape analyzing you've done. Thank you for the contribution you've made to the Great Quixtar Conversation. I wish you all the best!
Godspeed my Brother. Lets go kick some evil butt with the Saints - I'm right there with you!
Godspeed, X, and I wish you the best in all you do.
Blaming quixtar for YOUR irresponsible actions is not credible at all Mr. X. Take some responsibility for yourself and just tell people you didn't do what you were supposed to. THAT is why you failed in quixtar.
Mr. Doe,
Assuming you are not one of the fly by night drive-by commenters, why don't you tell us how you are doing in Quixtar?
What is your pin level, and what is your net profit, i.e., revenue-expenses? And please don't count retail "profit" from buying from yourself as part of your revenue.
By the way, it would have been more appropriate you to post your comment elsewhere.
Leave it to some anon idiot to leave a comment on a farewell post. The class of some IBOs is just astounding.
WHAT! That is Bogus
"$25,000 of other debt due to my involvement in this business."
Well I am glad your moving on to do something more productive with your time. Your writings were not debate but yet personal opinions that in my own experience view to be not correct. I am not here to say bad things about you but I hope you taking responsible for your own actions. It is sad that even in your departure that you place blame on the opportunity and claim that you have $25,000 in debt from it. Plus no one of any credible upline would ever have encouraged you to use credit cards to build what you tried. Well glad to see that you paid what ever off that you did from that. That has got to be a victory, but you comment of $25,000 still in debt. That is such a bogus statement! Your a Christian so take claim for you actions and stop blaming others for maybe that action you did not take. Hum even if you did build it hard where on earth did $25,000 come from? Now I know gas prices have gone up so you can not add that in since you could write that off on taxes if you were building it. Hum it could not have been Standing CD orders since those are only around 4-8 bucks, which even if you bought a ton weekly on monthly would not stack up to that and that includes books. All of course if you had a job already would have been legitimate write offs, O if you were actually building the business. Well there are functions and association, but after 4 or 8 of those gosh you still do not see $25,000. What on earth did you do to rack up $25,000 in debt? It sounds like you were not associated with Quixtar but something else. I have never seen anyone do what you are claiming. If your claiming that in PV, that is your Fault. You should have learned how to priority Buy. If you did it must have been extreme buying for stuff you must have stored up in you closet or basement and never used while you were busy with school. Well in closing if your grades only slipped to a small percentage under your Kumlate sum kai what Ever let me inform you that when I started my grades in school were around a 1.9 and 2.2. I still very did better than that and my grades still did not get better or worse. So at graduating guess what I still have yet to have an employer ask me about me college grade and have been placed in two really nice jobs above some people with top of the class grades like your self. Why is that? It is call action, personality, and intangibles that I learn from winners that built great Quixtar business and I yes gleaned that success to help my corporate future. Yes I run what I view a successful Quixtar business making about half of what I do in my job, but guess what if I wanted to go further it, it is up to me unlike the hierarchy at me job where my boss does not want me to take his spot. Anyway I am glad to see you moving on to something that is more impact and make you feel better about that actions your willing to take in life. I hope and wish blessing on you in that endeavor.
I love it. Another who seems to somehow know all of what went on with X while he was in Quixtar. It's like Bob was standing right there with him the whole time.
So tell us Bob how do you do it? How do you get these revelations about others situations when you don't even know them? Must be one of those special gifts only IBOs have.
Also, I love the whole "take responsibility" routine when the debt occured in this business is brought up. Why doesn't anyone say that to the upline? X has taken responsibility but has not given a free pass to those that gave him such advice.
I bet if X was successful with Quixtar Bob would be telling him to give credit to the system and his upline. But it is interesting that when someone gets financially ruined they say you have no one to blame but yourself. But another contradiction what else is new.
Good job Bob I guess the IBOs don't have enough class to simply say "Good luck" or "I wish you well". You guys just can't help but post your same old drivel and tapespeak along with it.
I feel as if I have found this site a day late, as I see that the author of this blog seems to be leaving. Still I have the urge to write this as this site may very well have opened my eyes to things that have been nagging me for a few months now.
I'm 25, married w/kids (with a newborn just a few days ago; which is why I'm awake at 3am EST...:)) and I've been involved with Quixtar for a few months. I have a steady 9 to 5 making middle-class income at a Fortune 500 company, which is good for someone who never went to college. Flashback less than 10 years ago, I lived in Chicago, running thru the streets, selling drugs and living a reckless life. I say that because it was never a testament of my character; I am fortunate enough to have seen both sides of the coin, which gives me open perspectives on a lot of things in life. I initially never really questioned getting involved with Quixtar, having being currently sponsored by a family member. My upline is out-of-state, but only an hour away, and never out of reach. I read books, I listen to CD's, go to meetings, etc. like any IBO with dreams to have a better life would. Until tonight, I've never even googled Quixtar because I figured to find biased opinions about the company; I've been told how many marketing groups are tied to them so what I may find will not reflect the teachings of our team (I'm tied to Winters Marketing). I do like the products; my wife loves the Peach Tea, I always needed vitamins, and I already was a big energy drink user, so XS is cool. Because of my involvement with my business team I've learned about Robert Kiyosaki, and overall have gotten me in the habit of reading some good books, which I cant complain about. And I have met a lot of nice people through the business. I would be wrong to say that areas of my intellect and character hasn't changed for the better since being involved with Quixtar and Winters Marketing.
But still, for the past month I see so many things in this business that I saw in the streets. Promoting freedom from everyday life and living with no financial worry, to spending money on functions and constant recycling of phrases, which I've learned tonight as being referred to as "tapespeak". I've seen it all before in the streets, which again is why I'm fortunate to have seen both sides of the coin in my life.
I now really have doubts as to whether Quixtar can bring about these fortunes I was shown at the function I went to, or if there is something underneath. My family member who sponsored me told me that he figured out that there were more ways money was generated through the biz that we were told about, which made me do research. Was he right? I don't know, but my research has led me here, and from the comments I've seen posted I will thoroughly go through this website, because I feel I will find the answers I need.
I don't down anybody in Quixtar, because I'm still involved also. But I know that there are people on this site that has knowledge and experience in this area of business that I know nothing about, because outside of high school, I'm just a reformed street runner from the city trying to support his family :)
So in closing, X, you may never read this, and I doubt we will ever meet, but I thank you in advance for this site, because one way or another, I'm certain what I will find here will help dictate what path that me and my family will chose to pursue.
God Bless
4fromCHI, X is retiring, but there are still 4 other authors who post on here. Keep reading and you will get an idea of what there stories are. If you stay in Q* good luck to you. The only thing I would tell you is don't blindly follow everything your upline tells you without researching it for yourself. God Bless you and your family.
X, you could commiserate with the best of them. You helped countless former IBOs legitimize their losses. Best of luck.
4fromCHI--
If you're looking for objective information, you're barking up the wrong tree. You'd have better luck getting an objective opinion about racial tolerance at a neo-nazi rally than getting an objective opinion here. You need to understand that this is where people go to compare notes and legitimize their failures. "It's not me, it's the business..." One common theme among these posts and comments is hatred disguised as righteousness. An objective opinion isn't given a fair shake on this blog.
Here's some good information since you're in the business. Go to XS page and login as an IBO. There's an announcement that projects quixtar revenues will jump from $1 billion to $4 billion due to the emphasis on the edible products. Take "The TEAM" for example. They switched tactics and focus on the edible productst through a STEP program (Sip twice, eat and profit) and the Team's volume has doubled. Of course, there's no way to verify that short of pulling up Orrin Woodward's LOS, but that's a big deal. My business more than doubled. There's some exciting things happening. Billy Florence's group joined the TEAM as well as Casey Combden and a Spaniish group in Cali. Orrin's cooking up something big and he'll take the rest of the organization with him.
I forgot to add that quixtar recently picked up DELL computers as a partner store. Not too bad, huh?
your volume may have doubled but what about your team? Same numbers or has your team doubled in size too? One other thing . How many partner stores have left this year?
casinogames
This is my first and my last time posting a blog. And yes I am a platinum IBO on the "team". I wish peolple Ibo's and non Ibo's alike would spend their time doing things more productive. Bloggers who hate the business should focus on others ventures that could make them money. All the time they waste knocking the biz could be productive somewhere else. Ibo's need to spend time growing themselves personally and spirtually. People, lets get a life. Good bye forever.
God Bless You. And Thanks For the Info!
