The Big Announcement

By QBlog in Blog News

I began Quixtar BLOG November 8, 2002, as a way to express my "tale of living with someone who is in Quixtar." After my wife ended her IBO activity the blog evolved into "just one man's perceptions" and I felt it was important to maintain that singular voice even when showcasing other voices on the blog with guest bloggers, contributing writers and special projects.

However, I realize that the blog has continued to evolve and grow beyond just "one man's perceptions." The redesign reflects those changes with the incorporation of a new slogan — Information - Perceptions - Discussion (the old slogan was "Just one man's perceptions"). But the changes don't end there. After nearly four years of running this blog by myself I'm now thrilled to announce the addition of three new bloggers to the Quixtar BLOG.

The Quixtar BLOG Team
Many of you may already be familiar with the new additions to the Quixtar BLOG because each has a blog of his own.

I'll post complete biographies for each of the new Quixtar BLOG authors on the About page very soon.

Why?
The new authors will help expand the reach of Quixtar BLOG in ways that I couldn't do on my own. I've come to the realization that I can't keep up with the evolution of this blog without some help. Drew, Preston and Tom provide that help and add new experiences and perspectives to the blog.

I guess I can best answer the "why?" question by stating that this blog has become bigger than me and I need others to help me manage it as it continues to evolve. I know it sounds like I'm talking about some living creature but frankly, sometimes it feels like this blog has a life of its own.

Changes
As we discussed this new collaboration we debated what to do about the money generated by the BlogAds, Google Ads and Merchandise sales. If any remained after expenses and site improvements we decided to take that money and invest it in marketing this blog.

Instead of pocketing the money (if any) or donating it to some cause we will be purchasing ad space on other sites to make people aware of the Quixtar BLOG. We're not trying to make money, just spread the word. I feel strongly that to maintain the integrity of this site it's important that none of the participants are making a profit from the blog, including me.

What Does This Mean?
All this means that the Quixtar BLOG is less about me, Eric Janssen, and more about the information, perceptions and discussion contained within its virtual walls.

Yes, it's still my site, I pay the bills and am responsible for killing comment spam, updating templates and all the other tasks that come with running a site. But hopefully my personality, while ever present, will recede into the background just a bit and the personality of this "ever-evolving" blog will step up into the foreground just a little.

That's the "Big Announcement." Please hang around to see what the rest of 2006 has in store for the Quixtar BLOG.

WOW!! That is a big announcement I can't believe I have been selected to be an author on Quixtar Blog. OK, just kidding I already knew. I think it was a good move and will continue to keep Quixtar Blog at the top.

Awesome!

For a minute, I thought you were going to quit blogging. Phew.

So that's Mr. X's name.

I'm really looking forward to the entries from all 4 bloggers. That will be interesting.

Doesn't this unambiguously make it the "anti-Quixtar Blog"?

No, you guys are insistant on hiding the truth of the reality of the business, we are simply interested in providing a balanced view so that people can truely make an INFORMED decision.

I must clarify that Insider does take a more objective view, but some of the other pro-Q people are very misbalanced...

DOn't you consider that some of the anti-Q folk are also "very misbalanced"?

Yes, indeed. I believe that. I know from conversations with Drew and Eric, they are not misbalanced. I have not had much communication with Mevi as of yet, but through this project, I will learn more about him. I think that Scott is misbalanced on some points. The thing is that the stats are out, Quixtar has not had the success for the masses that it wants to have, mostly because of the MOs. when only 1 in 400 make it to $40,000 before taxes and expenses and 1 in 14000 make it to Diamond, the hype of the potential success is very, very misguided. Devos said on Directly speaking that involvement in an MO does NOT help you succeed (I know that is over 20 years old). The IBO's all say that success is inevidible, but I have seen many hundreds of people throw away money and time all for nothing but the necsessity to work more jobs just to repay the debt incurred because of AQMO involvement.

insider, you're just upset that Qblog didn't ask you to be one of the authors. Just kidding.

I look forward to hearing from all the new authors. Good Luck guys

I kind of agree with insider. I wondered about that myself. It seems the blog will now be anti-AQMO.

But personally, I can't see how one can have all the facts (okay, maybe not all, but a substantial amount) and be pro. But that's just me. (No offense insider and Brad. :D)

I'd also point out that all of the ex-IBO bloggers were BWW affiliated. So we're getting a rather narrow viewpoint there as well.
xanadustc: you've just proved my point - "The IBO's all say that success is inevidible".

I've never heard that from any IBO I've been associated with, including Quixtar IBOs. You've given something that may be based on your experience and said it's "all" IBOs.

That's "misbalanced"

And as i seem like the present pro-quix, BWW guy, i reiterate insider's point: on BWW CDs, rallies and taught over kate/opens, the business is simple, not easy. Never (from all i have heard) said "inevitable"

I was WWDB not BWW.

Isn't WWDB an offshoot of BWW? Don't they share speakers? I believe Mr Britt himself even used to speak at WWDB functions?

I didn't know I was anti-Quixtar. I thought I made it pretty clear that Quixtar is a legit opportunity for people to make some extra money. I am anti-system that drains that money right back out of their downline.

Fair enough comment Drew. What's your experience of "systems" outside that affiliated with Yager/Britt?

insider: I may as well call N21 an 'offshoot' of Rich & Jay's "system" then?

I never saw or heard a single BWW speaker. The only time I was ever exposed to a non-WWDB name BESIDES Bill Britt (who hadn't been on a WWDB stage since 02 if I'm not mistaken) was at Dean Kosage's EDC Attitude session in Bellevue, WA. when he started tracing the "strange quirks" of his upline, past Britt and blaming "all of Quixtar's problems" on Dexter Yager. (Interestingly enough, all references to the people above Puryear were cut from the recording...along with some other interesting sound bytes.)

The issue of 'inevidible' is not a QUOTE it is a MINDSET that is produced by being in the system. You guys keep saying that if we keep with it and don't quit, we all would have made it. How is that not inevidible? And I never said anything about EASY, I said INEVIDIBLE.

mevi: Sure you can say that about N21. Are you saying WWDB was not at all influenced by the teaching of Britt/Yager, even in it's early days?

xanadustc: I think you mean Inevitable. Or at least I hope you do. You say - "You guys keep saying that if we keep with it and don't quit, we all would have made it". Really? Where did I say that? Where did Brad say that?

QBlog, this is a great announcement. Congrats to all new contributors.

However, I agree with rara and insider, in that it looks like the blogs now solidly in the "anti" camp.

Nevertheless, I believe insider and brad should be able to provide a balanced view when the occasion calls for it :-)

Insider,

You are the only person I have met from N21 so that is my only experience. My stance is to be leary of all "systems" up front. My basic rule is if a system preaches more about tools and tool flow in a group then they do about product and product sales in a group, it is time to find a new group.

Drew

Brad said: "Never (from all i have heard) said "inevitable"!

From a BWW standpoint I would disagree with that statement. I heard many times from stage IBOs being told that their success was just simply a matter of time, and as long as they stayed plugged into the system it was "inevitable".

Insider makes the better point of using the word "all" from a Quixtar wide standpoint.

rlaurens said: "However, I agree with rara and insider, in that it looks like the blogs now solidly in the "anti" camp."

I am still confused as to how it is "anti" anything to be against those who take advantage of their downlines by teaching and promoting more about tools then actual product sales and business profit. I can't even count all the times I heard that the strength of our business could be determined by our tool flow. I always thought a glance at the balance sheets would show that. That is of course unless you are using Enron type fuzzy math ;)

thanks for the shout out rlaurens, haha.

Regarding BWW and WWDB: Is it not a fact Ron Puryear reserves a room at his "River House" exclusively for Bill and Peggy Britt because of the appreciation he has for their support in helping him develop his system, WWDB? Further, are his CDs not produced by AMI? And finally, I receive WWDB CDs in my SOT program and the Dussaults spoke at a WWDB function on their diamond tour as well as Dean Kosage speaking at many BWW functions since he has been diamond.

I would say BWW and WWDB can almost be lumped together. The big differences being: direct fulfillment, WWDB has the 6-3 not 6-4-2 now (300 PV circle focus) and premiere membership.

Homo sapiens, Homo neanderthalensis, Homo erectus and Homo floresiensis...all the same, right, insider?

Sounds like quite a bit of difference to me, of course other then the fact that they both siphon money from their downlines to line their pockets with.

LOL, sure we can expect Brad to add another view in the comments, just don't expect him to answer any questions about those views.

well, they all do breathe our atmosphere... or did :-)

I just want to thank each of the authors of this new combined blog. You guys are great. I greatly appreciate your commitment to sharing and exposing many truths about the reality of Quixtar. Exposing truth does not make a person "anti" Quixtar. It simply makes a person a truth seeker. Thanks guys.

Drew: balance sheets are an indication of current business strength, tool flow is an indication of future growth.

Mevi: not quite sure I get the point of that question, they obviously are not the same. Incidentally I'm suspecting floresiensis may persist in remote parts of sumatra. There are reports going back decades from both natives and others of ape-like creatures that, when you look at the descriptions and sketches done, look remarkably like the sketches based on the floresiensis bones. Now wouldn't that be incredible!

Wow!! How did this announcement post turn into a full on debate? Ineresting. Again, good luck to all the new authors.

Congratulations Eric, this site has really evolved in the past few years since I have been visiting it. Great work! This blog is my first and I have learned a lot about blogging, as well as, about different experiences with Quixtar.

Great job! I am so impressed that you have taken a step to keep this blog going. As someone else mentioned on another post, most of us get tired of the war stories and just move on with our lives. By adding people to your blog and putting any proceeds toward marketing this blog, you'v taken a HUGE step toward not only GETTING the word out, but KEEPING the word out.

Thank you so much for your efforts. You have made a difference in my life.

Qblog,

If I may make a suggestion: I think it would be interesting to perhaps have one or two guest bloggers who are currently active IBOs (i.e., if you can find any that wouold like to contribute) to make the site a little more balanced.

I guess you are already doing that with the backbone project. But maybe if instead of asking them questions, you allow them to talk about what they want, just like Sharon's post.

Also, so that this blog does not become an outright "anti" site, perhaps the articles should be less of "here's something wrong I found" but more like "here's something I noticed. I'll leave it to you to decide." And then let the arguing proceed in the comments section or better yet, in the forum. I know there isn't necessarily a huge difference but I hope you understand what I mean.

It's your blog, so do whatever you see fit. I just thought I'd chime in my suggestions.

By the way, it's nice having regular postings on the blog. Now if only we could get regular podcasts. ;)

Congratulations to all of the new bloggers.

This assures that the critics will continue to provide valuable information about the evils of the quixscam business, while insider continues to pull dead rabbits out of his not so magical hat.
