AWSOME!!! Good stuff. Lately real funny videos from scott :D

Good job Scott :D :D

Yes, tools, motivational and training tools. And, do you have a problem with that? Don't bookstores such as Chapters, Indigo, etc. also sell such materials in their business & finances section? (I live in Canada). One more thing; Quixtar is just an e-commerce portal through which companies sell their products that are advertised through a business model that makes use of a concept known as "buzz marketing" or "word of mouth advertising". This may resemble to a Ponzi scheme in that it also employs "word of mouth". A Ponzi scheme is related to fraudulent investments yet, this business is not about investments and nothing fraudulent, it's about creating market share for the companies. What is more, it has been investigated over and over again and it is LEGAL in Canada. Hence, how is this a scam? The answer is simple; we all fall victims to our deviant thinking so, it is easy to conceive the perverse.

Have a nice day Scott Larsen

Post-mortem: (softly blinking of one eye)

"...Quixtar is just an e-commerce portal through which companies sell their products that are advertised through a business model that makes use of a concept known as "buzz marketing" or "word of mouth advertising" ... creating market share for the companies."

"Determining whether a particular program or business opportunity is a legitimate, multilevel marketing plan, versus an illegal pyramid, depends principally on two areas of focus:

The method by which the business's products or services are sold; and,

The manner in which the participants in that business are compensated.

Essentially, if a program or business plan compensates participants for sales made by themselves, their enrollees/recruits, and/or down line enrollees/recruits, it is a legitimate, multilevel program. Conversely, an illegal pyramid is a scheme that compensates participants merely for the recruitment, introduction, or enrollment of others into the program, exclusive of any sales."

So, again how is this business model a scam after all?

Yup, this business is definitely not a scam.

IF YOU NEED TOOLS, JUST BUY IT FROM EBAY FOR PENNIES ON THE DOLLAR

Hi rlaurens,

Thank you for the reply. It is, however, not the first reply in your person as I have been acknowledging. Nevertheless, it is informative but I am not interested in your offer. Sarcasm is not what I am seeking after. So, again, how is this business model a scam after all?

HOLY CRAP! That's a lot of tools.

That brings back such memories from when I finally threw out all my old tapes, videos, CD's, and other promotional materials. It was in the thousands when I stopped counting.

The stuff had no value outside of Quixtar and most of it had no lasting value within Quixtar either. Unfortunately, the sad truth is the same can be said of the Quixtar business itself.

Anton, which business model are you talking about?

Christian,

So is quixtar an ecommerce business or a bookstore?

Can you point out any tapes that actually teach you to run a quixtar business that makes money instead if losing money?

If I want to talk about God, I can go to church or bible study.

"So is quixtar an ecommerce business or a bookstore?"

First of all, it is not quite either one of them.
Quixtar is an e-commerce portal. Of course, it is a business entity in its own respect but it is not a business that markets its products/services by means of electronic commerce. Instead, it is like a virtual online mall where companies come and market their products.
How do people know about these products and why would the companies chose to follow this path? Not that it is something new though, it is pretty new. In the case of Quixtar, companies market their products to potential customers by making use of these very same customers to advertise those products through "word of mouth". In doing so, companies can save fairly good money instead of wasting if advertisement/actual product do not appeal in parallel to the public. The customer who takes advantage of this model also benefits because those money the companies would have invested into advertising through radio, televison, newspapers, internet, satellite, etc are distributed to the customers who created market share for the companies. They have done so through "word of mouth" advertising. Isn't that a great deal? If you promote your buying power to others by explaining to them what you did and if they chose to follow the same path, you help companies create more market share for their products and you are paid even more. Why? You have attracted more people, you have increased market share. You served not only as a customer but as an indepentent consultant too (advertiser in this case). Thus, you get paid more. It is only logical. You don not make money off other people. This is a detail most people do not understand. If you want, we can put it this way. Stores make money off you, a lawyer makes excellent money off you in every ocassion even if he only represents you 5 bloody minutes in a court just to readjourn your next court appearance in six months and so on. Yes, everyone makes money off someone else and it appears as unjust and it sometimes is. But, when you are in legit business nothing is unjust, it is business in its strict sense. In our case, this business model is called pro-summing; people who make money while they spend through promotion incetives by redirecting their buying power and by teaching others how to do the same.
Returning to the previous discussion, Quixtar helps distribute the advertising money companies are willing to invest into people who create market share for their products. That is why you get your monthly cheque from Quixtar. Once again, you are not working for Quixtar, Quixtar is not e-commerce business marketing its own products but a portal through which companies market theirs. Wal-Mart markets other companies products for sure not its own if it has any at all though that detail is not something I am fully aware of so, I can only speculate there but nothing more.
Quixtar is neither a bookstore, that should pretty much follow as a logical conclusion. The training system is an entity in its own and is there to help you understand what pro-summing is and to give you accounts on how others who have applied this concept did so, what challenges they had to encounter and what advise they could give to newcomers. In no way is the way going to get the work done for you, you have to make good use of it to get the work done. It is not going to be easy, it will be frustrating, it will be depressing at times. It takes discipline and that is the hardest pill to swallow especially to someone who is a discipline antagonist. Just as an exmaple, Kendall, states that

"The stuff had no value outside of Quixtar and most of it had no lasting value within Quixtar either. Unfortunately, the sad truth is the same can be said of the Quixtar business itself."

This guy clearly is undisciplined and clearly has no clue about Quixtar and about the prosumming business model that is powered by Quixtar. What is more, is that he is quick to voluntarily discredit the value the material can have outside this business. "Action cures fear" is a statement made on one of the training audio materials. How can that statement not have any value at all? If not, just go ahead, sit by a corner, start bitching about everything and run from challenges. You deserve to be called a whinner and a loser. That is why people like Kendall will not make anything but an average life style. Their mindset is broke and they end up not just even more frustrated than before but frustrate those around them too. I don't want to expand my business with his likes because it is futile; it is a waste of my time and his too.

"Can you point out any tapes that actually teach you to run a quixtar business that makes money instead if losing money?"

The material in question is pretty much distributed across all tapes/CDs. However, it is not fed to you by spoon; you have to study it and draw conclusions from it. No two people can draw the same conclusions even from principles of success. Each understand it differently and applies it in the same manner. But, just listening to the material for the sake of listening is not enough. You have to draw conclusions from it, even if they are not making too much sense at that moment and start APPLYING what you have heard. For instance "action cures fear". What does the plan teach? Are you afraid to expose the plan by talking to people? Listen to that statement again and don't think twice, boldly jump in and apply it. You will feel uncomfortable but so what? You know that action gets you going, gets you what you want. Talk to people, they don't get in, they are unaccountable, forget about it, move on. If there were only whinners and losers around you the world would not amount past the Stone Age. Learn from those who walked before you did. Don't listen to average people who are not in life where you want to be. Don't take financial advice from broke people, don't take marriage advice from divorced people. Don't listen to negative people posing as experts. Isn't that compelling enough? How is money made? In business you can never make money without losing some, especially if you are new and have no business background. Counsel with people who can help you with the matter. You can counsel with your upline but, if you chose not to then, counsel with a financial adviser, show him the plan, invite him to a meeting so that he becomes acquainted with the business model even if he might have "just an idea" about the model itself. These are the kind of people you should take financial advice from. But, as I stated, you have to lose some money to make some money. If you loose too much, the problem might be you. Thus counsel with proven individuals, learn from them, not from people like Kendall and average people in general.

"If I want to talk about God, I can go to church or bible study."

Why just church? Is it politically incorrect to talk about Him in the public? Just an observation.

I agree. Action does cure fear. Action is what I took when I looked at my credit card bills and the only charges were from Q*, 90% of which were tools tickets, hotel, gas, and so on . My action cured my fear of having to file bankruptcy. There was not one piece of information in your statement(Christian), that I have not heard on stage or in the hundreds of CDs I have listened to, or all the books I have read. It just was just like a script of an STP.

Just to let you know. I have an attitude problem. Yes, I have CDs but I hardly listen to them, I listened to just one of them called "Success is Revenge". That one CD did not give me the talk I delivered. I just happen to have a mindset that identifies itself with the principles being thought in this business. My only problem is that I still suffer from laziness when it comes to contacting people. It is up to me to listen and learn more from the training materials if I want to aggresively push forward. I can make that decision by myself; no one can force me. Yet, I am aware can that I can make that decision; I just have to be willing to.

Christian, What do you learn from the CDs that you don't already know? They all tell you the same thing . Keep going , keep making contacts, keep your eye on the prize. I could have saved a ton of money by not buying into this tool scam and just posting all that on my fridge. Too late for me though.

Cristian,

You don't have an attitude problem. You have a business problem. I know how you feel though. I felt the same way too. What I found was your attitude improves when you find a better business opportunity. (I love feel, felt, found ;)

The incredible opposition of naysayers and negative people you face when you go out contacting didn't appear out of thin air. There isn't a giant conspiracy to oppress all things Quixtar/Amway. There are simply A LOT of people who had a poor experience with Quixtar/Amway and either lost money (mostly through the motivational orgs) or were lied to about their potential for success because of overpriced products.

If you had competetively priced products that the average person believed had real value, they would be knocking down your door to buy your products and sign up as IBO's.

Take that energy and money you have and apply it to something that is going to get you real returns.

One more thing; Quixtar is just an e-commerce portal through which companies sell their products that are advertised through a business model that makes use of a concept known as "buzz marketing" or "word of mouth advertising".

Outside of Alticor products like XS, what percentage of "partner stores" of say Barnes and Noble products, are actually sold through Quixtar? And of all the products sold by Quixtar, what percentage of them are to non-IBO's? Just curious.

Christian, you are preaching to the choir, or should I say, former choir members. (At least your first long paragraph.) We have heard the same CDs you heard (Private Franchising by Greg Duncan, some stuff by Terry Felber - Triple Diamond Attitude, I think - and Dean Kosage). If you are not in BWW or WWDB and do not even know the names of any of these people I mentioned, then I guess all systems are really basically the same.

Next, have you ever met Kendall before? Do you even know who he is? How do you know he's broke, undisciplined, a whiner (I think that's what you meant to type), and a loser? Are you psychic?

Since you have established that Kendall is so broke, why don't you tell us how much you are CURRENTLY making and what your net worth is?

Oh man, that was too funny. I love Weird Al. I also love EBAY. That video and song go together like spaghetti and meatballs! Excellent stuff!

Scoot a larsen really funny. How about we try to take a look scoot life. Im sure he happy about it. Im concern about him. haha..
Motivation is good but shall not too motivate. BMS is good but several books already enough to guide. Just like we study in school also need books to study. As well as doing amway. We need tools to do business. Scoot is single minded people who think amway is bad only. I really no idea. If I single minded hate japanese because of invasion my CHina! I will not live a happy lift because full of hate. Scoot, take care. Think positively, amway is not that bad.
