Larsen Gets Slammed
By QBlog in Quixtar
The latest apology and retraction from Scott Larsen as presented by Quixtar's Independent Business Owner's Association.
Quixtar, Inc. has insisted that Scott Larsen and other Internet critics stop circulating false and misleading information that has the potential for harming the entire IBO world and, of course, Quixtar itself. Following is an exchange initiated by attorney James Sobieraj on behalf of Quixtar, Larsen's pretty abject apology, and a follow-up letter from Sobieraj, all of which make it perfectly clear that Mr. Larsen has been allowing his website to be used as a bulletin board for totally unverified and usually false information, regardless of the consequences to others. Pet Peeve Alert: Movie critics criticize movies. Sports critics criticize sports. Military critics criticize the military. Internet critics criticize the Internet. Larsen is NOT an Internet critic. He's a Quixtar critic who utilizes the Internet to distribute his criticisms.
Saying Larsen is an Internet critic is like saying Roger Ebert is a newspaper critic because his movie reviews are printed in the Chicago Sun-Times.

Ok, I think instead of throwing old tapes, I should copy the excerpts of the bigoted things these "King pins" said, and demand an appology?
They're going after larsen for nothing really. And .... to me, that IBOAI page is telling more to prospects that an IBO would like prospect to know ;)
Plus critic's blogs allow comments. How come all the pro-quixtar sites never allow comments?
The Quixtar sites do allow comments. One great example is http://quixtar.blogharbor.com/blog/ and then there's David Robison's and others.
I am trying to understand why Quixtar is drawing attention to Larsen by publishing this information.
It is obviously a new strategy, but I don't understand it.
Anyone have any ideas?
Sorry, I meant the websites like the ones hosted by the kingpin diamonds

I have an idea about it and I am writing about it at my blog.

Wow. I'm surprised the IBOAI put that on their website. It really makes Quixtar and the IBO Board look bad. After realizing that the general substance of Scott's post is correct, they invoke the famous "confidentiality agreement" clause. So in other words, you can't prove it - but if you can, it's confidential and you can't use it. Very interesting philosophy. It seems to me that Scott Larsen has been much more forthright and honest over the past few years than Quixtar's Legal staff, the IBO Board and Jody Victor have.
I think it's gotten to the point where Quixtar figures they better do something.
The new name change has no given them a chance to start over, so to speak. Dateline didn't help either.
Nowadays, anyone who gets approached about Quixtar can make an informed opinion doing their own research on the internet. Not so in the 80's and early 90's when you were basically at the mercy of the newspapers and TV broadcasts.
Either that, or slug it out at the local library using the Dewey Decimal System.
Either way, Quixtar doesn't look good from any angle. I guess they are trying to do something about it.
If they really want to do something about it, they should clean up the problems.
OK. I can no longer wait for David's explanation.
I suspect the action is to pacify the Quixtar leadership.
The leaders can point to the web page where Scott takes something down and tell all of their downline that Scott is a liar.
It's spin city.
That or Jody Victor asked them to do it.
Methinks they've started taking the FOX "News" tack: Yell, browbeat, expect the other side to play nice and yield to your demands. Besides, it makes them look like they're actually doing something against their critics.
Funny though, the kingpins never apologized for lying about tools profits, and mostly all of Scott's stuff is still on his website...
