Yummy and Yucky

By QBlog in Quixtar

Quixtar's "What's New in Products" page highlights an article from the Washington Post that reports on The Elusive, Edible Nutrition Bar. An article sidebar (pdf) describes the Banana Creme flavor Trim Advantage Protein Bar as "Nougat-like" tasting like candy.

However, the Mixed Berry Smoothie flavor TAPB landed in the "Not Recommended" list and received a "Too sweet" comment.

Personally, I don't care for any of the Trim Advantage bars but I also prefer to get my protein from red, bloody meat instead of a candy bar.

All right... the spin can really stop because "However, the Mixed Berry Smoothie flavor TAPB landed in the "Not Recommended" list and received a "Too sweet" comment" is SPINNING!!!!! (sarcasm)

Actually, I really have not been a fan of any of AmQuix' bars until their nut something or another energy bar came out and I do lvoe the Mixed Berry Smoothie bar! It's a good time for my palate.

SpinStopsHere, palate? Means you are a girl?

I guess that ANYTHING, when compared to the "Shaq Bar" - tastes OK. The Shaq Bar, besides being a marketing nightmare, was without a doubt the nastiest tasting, tooth-yanking thing on earth.

I happen to enjoy the majority of the protein bars, and all of the meal replacement bars. My sons take the protein bars in their backpacks!

I love all of the Trim Advantage Protein Bars!! However, my new favorite is the Mixed Berry Smoothie Flavor. My husband's favorite is the Roasted Peanut.

The flavors are all great. I'm just happy as can be that they're changing the texture of the Protein Bars. The Blueberry is the best! All the XS flavors rock too! I've lost and kept off 15lbs in the past 8 months just by replacing two meals a day. Now I'm working out regularly and am on my way to another 10lbs. Yee-hah! Easy as that! That's my two cents on this topic.
