Monday Reader Mail: 74
By QBlog in Reader Mail
This, my friends, is why I do this blog. There's something in it for everyone.
name: creylish
date: March 6, 2006
message: I wanted to tell you I appreciate that you have taken your time to maintain and work this site. I was angry at first, I will admit this, because someone I was interviewing for my team verbally attacked me because of the information he gathered from this site.
But, I have recently had a person tell me that BECAUSE of the comments I was ABLE to post got on board.
Freedom of speech is great, and I hope that we can take the information the critics give us and create a better Quixtar business!
My reply to creylish, "Great. Now you understand!" Do you understand?
Comments
I find it truly ironic that the very thing creylish's "leaders" have attempted to stifle for many years is what he appreciates.
I hope you can create a better Quixtar business as well, creylish.
Most people just want the truth. The business will sell itself if it is in fact what the prospect is looking for. The trouble starts when they stumble upon information that they feel was kept from them.
Transparancy may cost the "leaders" a lot of money in lost "tool" sales, but it will create a better environment for the rank and file hard working IBO.
It is my hope that the business will eventually be overrun with honest leaders, who truly believe in what the current "leaders" say they stand for.
is this an April fools joke
That's a good strategy CFM. Drown out your lost arguments with a cut'n'paste.
You have an article here (again) which you obviously post here because you are of the opinion that critics are committing libel against Quixtar. That's the inference I get, anyways.
Pop Quiz smart guy. If that was the case, don't you think Quixtar would take care of it?
Wouldn't they want to take are of this sort of thing and let you just go build your business?
Why don't you do that, if you're just going to cut'n'paste articles here. Build your business.
May I humbly suggest you just include links to the articles, the body of it tends to detract from the topic at hand.
Which I'm sure was not your intent.
It's always nice to see copy & paste as a substitute for individual thought there, CFM.
Boo-hoo, cry us all a river. Hope you sent a copy the Fred Harteis's Blog - since his "attack network" tried to silence and ruin Eric Schiebler's life (like spreading rumors he was a alcoholic, dying, getting death threats from Brett Deimler, etc.)
I guess that's perfectly OK, huh?
Whoa!
Did CFM's copy & paste article get erased? I just noticed that it was on three different subjects.
No big loss, anyway.
It seems like the critics speak the TRUTH.
Then the quixtarians come on here, accuse the critics of lying, libel, dreamstealing, etc. They call the critics broke losers, but they always seem to fail to tell the critics what was untrue about what was posted.
Why is that?
I first started reading Quixtar Blog within the first couple of months of its inception. I never thought it was a site written by a critic, but at times was critical.
It does now harbor a population of so-called "critics and disgruntled ex-IBOs", but I think Qblog always presents the facts as they are, with commentary, no doubt; but he always presents an opportunity to post differing opinions from "pros".
I, as an IBO, have always reccomended the site and will continue to do so.
Dave
BTW, I didn't get to see what this "CFM" guy posted(apparently it was pulled).
CFM had a long rant in the blog "Pay for training" a few days ago. Check it out
CFM,
Is that why the diamond kingpins flooded the internet with their blogs because they didn't want their prospects to see this blog?
mmm, a few things I disagree with here. I've been frequenting this forum for some time, and JC, I have to say I've hardly ever seen IBOs "accuse the critics of lying, libel, dreamstealing, etc. They call the critics broke losers".Now I've missed some posts, so it may have happenned, but it doesn't seem to be that common? Certainly no more common, indeed I'd say less common, then the critics labelling IBOs as "brainwashed zombies" and such (which happened just today I think).
Now, as for the bias or otherwise of this blog/forum. While Eric is generally fair, it *is* biased in a a few ways. First, read the blog posts. There's a huge tilt towards the negatives, and often outright falsehoods are posted, ala lawdawg's analysis highlighted by Eric a few months back. Despite my extensive post showing it false, Eric has never retracted that or indeed commented on it. There's a tendency to accept "negative" information at face value, yet "positive" information is dissected for any possible flaw.
Second is purely in who posts. This isn't a deliberate bias, but by the pure fact that most IBOs are building their businesses on top of existing jobs, they don't have the time to post here. It's not really that effective a use of their time. In general the critics do have this. So you'll tend to get way more negative posters than positive posters.
Just because both sides are able to post doesn't mean there is no bias, whether deliberate or otherwise.

rara>> I have been on this and other blogs and it's very common for IBOs to post comments calling critics dreamstealers and other insulting names and accusing them of all sorts of things without addressing the issues that were raised. I have also seen a few critics derive some kind of morbid pleasure in insulting IBOs, again without addressing the issues. But that seems to me much less common. And there are some IBOs who actually at least try to make some sense. Even Tony often addressed issues when he wasn't being profane. (Unfortunately, by the time I discovered this blog, his more colorful posts had been deleted.)
insider>>Certainly no more common, indeed I'd say less common, then the critics labelling IBOs as "brainwashed zombies" and such (which happened just today I think).
rara>>I don't know about "brainwashed zombies." I would say it's at most as common as critics calling IBOs Ambots or quixbots.

rara>>Can't comment on the false information accusation because I don't know anything about it. I can't speak for Eric, but I think it's possible he tends to be more negative because he just doesn't like what he sees. For example, if I were to study slavery in America, no matter how neutral I try to be, there will be a very few positive things I will say about it. Now, I AM NOT COMPARING ANYTHING TO SLAVERY, I am just using this example to make a point. I do believe Eric once reprimanded critics for not having civil debates, or something like that.

rara>>I totally agree. In fact, I've always wondered why we even get any pro-quix people and some who post rather regularly since most are taught to stay away from negative on the internet and they have to work at their jobs AND the biz. When I was still active, I barely had time to check my email.
insider>>Just because both sides are able to post doesn't mean there is no bias, whether deliberate or otherwise.
rara>>True. But I think this blog and the forum allow both sides to be heard, but unfortunately, more critics than IBOs visit this particular site. (I think on some other sites, the numbers of critics and IBOs are closer.)
Yes, thank God for the time I now have. I hated driving by homes at night, seeing the lights on, knowing I was an hour or more away from relaxing in my own home because I was with my ex showing the plan, going to functions or prospecting. I also have time for vacations, to actually see the cities I am in, not be cooped up in a dark auditorium all weekend. Time to reflect, time to care, time with family - I have what I need. Discover yourself, everything else has been done!
Insider,
You're right, it's not that common to be called liar, etc. But it happens more often than you think, and more often on the blog than the forum. In any case, it's silly to resort to name calling when there are bonafide issues on the table that can be debated.
Whatever happened to Tony?
Yeah, what happened to Tony? Did he finally achieve his dream? (Or maybe he's bussing tables on one of those EXTREME TEAM yachts.)
Tony tuned into a goat. And we're in love.
I see why Eric does this site. I have been called a liar, zealot, immoral, brainwashed Quicktart/Quixbot/Ambot, ect... Only been insulted once in this forum, though. For the most part, we are all adults trying to convey our VERY biased opinions to one another. Why do I still work my business? I have the perfect example: This weekend, I was coming out of a building and passed by a person in distress because they had just found their car broken into. The person who had shattered the window to rob the car was chased down by an IBO, and further, a group of three other IBO's came together to help this person, who was NOT in the business. One of those who helped was a diamond, who paid to replace the window. Never before have I been involved with a group of people who could do that without batting an eye. I have also heard that my emerald paid for the dinner of a party of girls who got left in the restaraunt by their boyfriends.
I had 1 or 2 posts out of 500 where critics pushed my buttons, & I dropped a few "f-bombs" and now there's this stereotype that I was "profane" - well you know what?... that's some Buuull****!! Hahahahaha!!
You people still talk about me, that's AWESOME!
And for those of you who are honest, you KNOW I made valid arguments, and when I wasn't being Attacked by critbots, I didn't get upset and use "bad words". But once again, when certain CRITICS said vulgar things, I NEVER saw Eric punish them.
And let's stop lying to ourselves, shall we. This site (and Eric) is not neutral, unbaised, or any derivitive of. This is plainly, obviously, unmistakingly a "negative" or "critical" site. Letting IBOs futiley post, does not make it "neutral". Putting Imran in the ring with Tyson and saying "well he can punch back", does not mean its a fair fight ;). Eric writes with a blatant critical slant. I can't even say slant without laughing. Yea, "slanted" like a cliff is slanted.
Like it was said above, most IBOs don't have the time to live on here, and they also realize- it just affects there attitude. Sure, they may get a few prospects to keep an open mind by giving arguments from our side, but how effective are they being?
See critics, you have to be real naive to think that out of a group of a half million IBO's there aren't a few (thousand) rotten apples. But what's that percenage?... less than 1%! Most IBOs are generous, caring, ethical people. And I believe that % to be growing, as mentioned in rockets post above. The bad ones Will be weeded out. Their people will quit.
Sure there are things wrong, things that could be better, and I believe they will get better!
And man, how about that new Zsenso Tea! Taste incredible, and you can do 100 pv for about $120 now! And have you seen the show Jason Roberts' Taste. Funny, educational, good recipes, and he promotes Qx products! Guys there's some big things in the works, if you're in now, I'd hang around.
continued below....
My team is still growing, and since I don't plan on visiting here again soon, it will probably keep growing.
I've taken what I've learned here though, and put it into my team, things to avoid, things not to do, or fall into. But also, what to listen to and not listen to.
I have no problem with skeptical people, or even critcism, but not blind hatred. And unfortunately many, not all, but many of the critics just blindly bash this, no matter what. But there will always be those people, it doesn't bother me anymore.
I've found some really good people lately, who are growing fast and doing the work, so I'm pumped! but it took 2 years of slow growth to get here; and the problem is, most IBO's would have quit long before 2 years of being 300-600pv, before the growth finally happened. It's a marathon, not a sprint. You need long-term mentality. But there's still no guarantee, just like in any venture you undertake.
So good luck to everyone in whatever goal, dream, or adventure you pursue!
-Tony
ps. BTW, I've Never called anyone on here a broke loser, for quitting or not doing the business. But plenty of critics have called me plenty of names.
Oh, and Imran- Dhanyavadagalu, zhuh voo aymuh! Neenu thumbha sundaravagi iddeeya :p
Hoogibartheene matte :)
Welcome back Tony!
How's business?
Tony, no idea what you're talking about :D
RE: "Dhanyavadagalu, zhuh voo aymuh! Neenu thumbha sundaravagi iddeeya"
Btw, I've been banned from the site. I posted 4, just 4 not so right posts and BAM. Happened last year. Come to the forum and I can show you the thread and you can see me getting banned.
And.....I guess, GUESS, DF was banned too. Never saw him again.
So Tony, shake a leg ;)
Excellent blog. Lets just gather all of the critics in one spot and drown out any potential truth about anything at all. $1.7 billion in bonuses, not including retail mark-up, paid out since 1999. Let me ask the critics, Do your make that much? No. You won't make that much in your lifetime. So unless you have somthing else to offer, why don't you keep your opinions to yourself.

THIS is why I always claim that this site is not anti-Quixtar. Sure, the critics of the business are solidly represented here and in the forum, but the fact that IBOs are welcomed should serve as evidence of the real purpose of this site.
Too many IBOs want to label this site as "negative" simply because critics are allowed to post. Sorry, it ain't that easy.
