997 New Quixtar Platinums
By QBlog in Quixtar
In 2004 I posted about the Quixtar Platinum INDEX which gave some insight into the performance of Platinum businesses. Great information.
But do you know how many IBOs became new Platinums that year? A grand total of 997 with nearly one third of them achieving the Platinum pin in August 2004. Congratulations Quixtar Platinums!
I hope to have 2005 numbers soon but unfortunately I hear they're down a bit from 2004. Oh well, Silver's not so bad.
UPDATE: The 2005 numbers are in! 559 new North American Platinums for FY 2005 which may be different than the calendar year which is where the 997 figure for 2004 comes from.
UPDATE II: For FY 2004 there were 1,013 new Platinums. However, there were 997 for the calendar year. The Fiscal Year runs from Sept.-Aug. And while we're at it, the FY 2003 had 661 new Platinums. Here's the breakdown of new Quixtar Platinums:
- FY 2003 - 661
- FY 2004 - 1,013
- FY 2005 - 559 (according to Achieve)

I know fiscal year 2005 went from Sept. '04 to Aug. 05. How was FY 2004 different?
What caused such a sine wave in those numbers?
Congratulations to the new platinums!
Hmm, I wonder how many "old" platinums fell out of qualification?
million dollar question joe. Unless we know old platinums requalify, still in, we can't say it's a sine wave. It could be really good if majority of old platinums are still in, or real bad if most of them are not platinum any more.
But still gives an insight. It's not as 6-4-2 like growth as it is presented. More platinums should be breaking even more platinums?
be nice now Joe...
if you think about it, you could hover back and forth in qualification as these categories are quite broad. you can be 14700 pv and almost be a Ruby, but are only a platinum; you could also be a 7500pv platinum with 3 wide (you ONLY need 3 right?) and only make a MONTHLY income of $1400, HALF of what they regularly promote as Q-12, making $42,000 (which includes one time bonuses) per year!
or
you can be a silver and have just missed Platinum by one month..
or be a q-12 and fall out by one month
or you could be a Q-12 Emerald and be NEAR Diamond (skewing the Average higher)
that is why all these Average incomes don't really refect what you see in your pocket every month, and on a regular monthly basis.
"Average incomes" include ONE time bonuses, FIRST TIME Bonuses, or ANNUAL Bonuses that you are in or out of qualifcation for.
or you could be a 'Happy Platinum' that is NEAR Sapphire, but has no desire to grow.
don't get me wrong, Q makes a valiant effort to differentiate the qualifications, but the ONE TIME or YEARLY bonuses may not reflect the typical Ibo's CONSISTENT MONTHLY income
best thing is to figure out the MONTHLY Bonuses based on PRODUCT SALES, as the YEARLY AVERAGES are inflated and subject to meeting a quota that is not necessarily consistent, or one that YOU will qualify for...
What they should do is a more comprehensive release of the numbers which would have the averages for Platinum and above with standard deviations and confidance intervals. That is what would show the real stats.
The income of a Platinum can be from $2500 a year to $75,000 a year, better stats would give us a better idea.
Show me proof of Quixtar Platinum making $75,000 a year in the product business and I will go on a diet of double X and XS energy drink for a year.
the biggest complaints, in the form of books, news reports or exposees were from people that DID THE WORK , and found that the INCOME from Pv-Bv was NOT there as advertised...
that doesn't even consider 'System' Expenses, it is income BEFORE expenses.
There are books that go back 20 years describing the same thing.
Read the Book:
"AMWAY: The Cult of Free Enterprise" by Steve Butterfield
The average bonus and cash payments earned by a Q12 Platinum, an IBO who qualifies at the Platinum level all 12 months of the year, were $41,970.*
Source: http://thisbiznow.com/quixtar/ibo_statistics.html
Note: Q-12 platinums get a 10,000 bonus...so a non q12 platium may very well be making about $30,000 a year, before expenses.
Mevi, instead guessing, do the math, on the quickest route to Platinum:
3 groups of 2500pv each (you only need 3 right?)
Fastest route to Platinum
three consistent groups
three good leaders
equal time spent in each group
healthy competiion among your Leaders
You have to know the quickest, and minimum numbers for a Platinum, not just a Q-12. If you don't get your downline to the right numbers at Platinum, they won't stay around long enough to make you a Q-12, much less even get one of their bonuses.
7500pv x 2.8 = $22500Bv
Group Bonus (Bv): $5250 (25%)
Paid out: $1260 (18%) to ea group =
Group Bv = $5250
Paid out to downline: $3780
Net to You, Platinum Ibo: $1570 PER MONTH
THIS IS 40% LESS THAN WHAT YOU ESTIMATED.
you must look at someting more consistent than Annual Bonuses, they are too much subject to a last minute misstep in sales fluctuation. They are bonuses based on Quotas. You must look at bonuses based on SALES (Pv-Bv)1st.
Remember, Q-12 could be a 20 year Platinum, even be a 'near' Emerald, with lots of bonuses, or width. You need to project MONTHLY income for your NEW Platinum, and not just use inflated, Q-12 income and annual bonuses.
MONTHLY MONTHLY MONTHLY Income from SALES, NOT year end 'maybe' bonuses / quotas.
I'm not guessing, the stat is from www.thisbiznow.com, an official quixtar website that states the AVERAGE Q-12 income is that amount....Im not estimating, its a stated fact released from the corp.
It sucks, because WWDB tried to make out a first year q12 platinum to be $60,000+ a year
Congrats to all those who have developed a "legit" Platinumship in '05!
FOOIEY to those Platinums who bought product and barried it in their backyard to qualify as Platinums in '05... including my "Bought" Platinum/Ruby sponsors.
Of course it is no ones biz how one runs their biz... unless you have downline who look up to your biz which you are lieing to about your success...................................
I know... certainly not all Platinumships have done that. Yet, I know 1 of the 550+ in 05' has. Shame on them. Shame on any of the others who have lied to themselves and to those that look up to them as role models and make investment, time and money, decisions because of their lies.
Again - CONGRATULATIONS to the legit Platinumships of '05!
Mevi, but you can't just subtract the bonus and expect to come up with AVERAGE Platinum income. THAT is what they WANT you to deduce. New Platinums might NOT be earning anywhere NEAR what MAY be seasoned veterans, long established, wide groups and NEAR Emeralds in Q-12 group. The Q-12's could be loaded with more experienced groups.
this is part of the deceptive aggressive income projections. You may have been told Q-12 income from another era.
you can hit Platinum crawling on your knees or on a White Horse (Q-12).... they quote the High Horse only.
SSH: Are your former upline plat/ruby still in business? How much did such action affect your group?
It doesnt seem like a good idea to do such a thing... obviously seems like it would damage your credibility and thus business.
fishsticks!!
Quixtar should be banned somehow. I put so much time and effort into this so called business and I got no positive results. The DC International team called themselves people of character but they were just wolves in sheeps clothing. I invested almost $5000 and made a lousy $100 from that. I put my heart into this and this is what I got. I hope many people see this. You people need to stop misleading others and just get a real job and education and work. I rather work my 40hr/wk job than do anyhting with you so called platinums and diamonds. I was so much better off not having you people in my life. I truly hope that a platinum or diamond or whatever you call yourself can read my comments. And I hope you feel a little conviction while reading it. 4-5-9-3-3-3 hahaha what a joke.
Evne with all those new platinums, I wonder how many or how few can add up their group's income and expenses and show a profit after subtracting "tools" expenses?
Very few I suspect. :)
I have been working with the DC International Team for over eight months and have had great success. Since my girlfriend and I have been with them we have improved all areas of our life and have had a ton of fun while doing it. I have been within the corporate world for quite sometime and never have I seen people of such integrity. We have not lost any money in the process but rather made a good amount of additional income. Nobody has ever been out for our money but instead they are out to help us succeed when we want to. I hope that people get their advise from someone that is successful in the DC International team rather than someone that wasn't, because then would you goto a player in the NBA or one that got cut back in highschool and gave up for advise on how to play professionally and be successful. Good Luck and make sure that you are being a fruit checker before you look for advise.
As someone else said, the payout is awful, except for the people paid to promote the program from the get go, and they aren't in the grind. You can work 50hr/wk and make $50k pretty much anywhere, more than that if you put a couple years into getting a degree.
Someone from dc international tried to recruit me at a gas station while i was in my car. He called me a few days later... then on the phone when I mentioned i was worried it was a pyramid scheme and then mentioned the words Quixtar he quickly changed tone and got off the phone. I wont jump to conclusions but something sure is fishy. I would tell people just to get a real job.. This company seems a lot like college pro painters and a few others that exploit people. But i don't know anything concrete.
As in any business learn the business before you spend your life savings. Protect yourself and learn to buy what YOU need and teach the same to others and the business will work for you. If you have products you like to get a % of your money back is great. I wouldn't quit my day job to do this until success is sitting in front of you.
this is in response to the earlier message about a platnium making 2500 a year, lol. first of all the q 12 bonus alone is 20k now. soo how does that work exactly? and i know platniums that are making 70k right now.
I have been working with the dc international team for almost a year now and have experienced success and found the people on the time to have a very high level of integrity. In my personal experience I have never had anyone try to avoid any questions or hide any information. I was skeptical before I did credible research so I asked alot of those same questions and the answers I recieved were completely up front and proved dc international to be a credible business team. Really I am just writing this because I am completely confused as to how 'Quixtar Never Again'"lost" money working with DC international. Did you somehow miss that the products bought from quixtar.com have an 180-day money back guarentee? or that any educational tools bought from DC internationaol have a 30-day money back guarentee? Also, I know from personal experience DC teaches to merely redirect current buying habits/product consumption to the same types of products you can buy from your own business. So did you "lose" money by buying stuff you were going to buy anyway from somewhere else? As for the commenter above by the name of 'careful' i definitely understand why you would have felt apprehensive when you talked to that person on the phone and how it must have sounded shady to you. My guess is the person who was speaking to you was new himself and hadn't educated himself well enough to answer your questions and then didn't know how to respond to you which is unfortunate because it is a simple question to answer and one that was answered thoroughly for me when I first began researching the business. I would have felt similar to you though if the person I had talked to was unable to answer my questions--if there is one thing I cannot stand, both inside and outside of the realm of this business, it is people who speak about things of which they are poorly educated and often downright ignorant.
