Quixtar Wiki Needs YOU!

By QBlog in Blog News

Yes, it's true. I started the Quixtar Wiki. But as with any wiki, it requires a community of dedicated contributors to grow. Many thanks to Mevi for his tireless efforts to nuture the Quixtar Wiki. It's a great start.

Now the Quixtar Wiki needs you. That's right, this is a call to action. We need you to join the Quixtar Wiki and add your contribution. The more people who participate, the better the wiki becomes.

Is it hard?
Editing a wiki is easy. The Quixtar Wiki uses the same software that powers the wonderful Wikipedia so if you're familiar with that, then you know how to edit the Quixtar Wiki. If you have any questions just email Mevi and he'll be glad to help.

But I don't know what to say!
Don't worry. Just say what you know. Let's say you know a little bit about XS Energy drinks. You do a search for XS and if no page is returned, click the "create an article with this title" link. Then type in what you know and you're done. It's that easy.

I just like to read, not write.
Well now is the time to write, just a little. We really want to the Quixtar Wiki to be the most comprehensive source of Quixtar information in the world. But we need you to help.

This sounds like you're begging for help!
We are! But seriously, it's not too difficult and you might find that you really enjoy the wiki experience. I mean, a wiki is what the web was always intended to be - a collaborative effort to provide valuable information that anyone can contribute to. That's pretty cool.

So get off your duff and get over to the Quixtar Wiki and show us what you got.

Wiki-r-us :-) This should be good!

Excellent idea. It will be great to see more people contribute to the site. Right now there seems to be four types of contributors: those with a negative slant towards Quixtar, those who have a positve slant towards Q*, those zealously love Q* and viciously (as much as is possible on the computer)edit and delete perceived negative contributions, and those who are on the fence and making their minds up.
With over 1300 pages to 'read' and only 18 register users, unregistered users cannot sit on the sidelines randomly reading the site, or watching the changing pages. For a while I had just watched the site to see what the content was about. Watching the recent changes page to see the latest additions, editions, reedits, and so on. Finally, I 'anonomiously' wrote and edited some pages. And have since up graded to better track my contributions. Help a guy out (Mevi doesn't need to spend all his time reversing 'wipeouts') and just write positive counters to whatever you perceive as the negative. Objectivity is needed. You don't get that by wiping and running. It goes both ways, but those on the fence can figure out which way they should lean.

my 1st reading was the transcript of the "60 Minutes" interview... it shows that in over 20 years, NOTHING has changed, the business and tactics are EXACTLY the same.....

Q, the following quote is taken from the latest QRush blog and I'd like to see your take on this topic and the other drama he is trying to strech out. "In any event, Quixtar "triple diamond" Greg Duncan has also sought to control information. In October 2004, at a conference held by WorldWide Dream Builders, called "Free Enterprise Days" in Portland, Oregon, Greg Duncan announced from stage that Quixtar, with the help of WorldWide Dream Builders quote, "we have hired our own geeks to drown out the negative information on the web...so when someone types in Quixtar, they see only the information we want them to see." This action was known as Quixtar's "Web Reputation Task force" and was exposed by a blogger by the name of Qblog, aka Eric Janssen.

In October 2004, at a conference held by WWDB called “Free Enterprise Days” in Portland, Oregon, Greg Duncan announce from stage that Quixtar, with the help of WWDB would develop a plan to share “the facts on the Quixtar opportunity.” The actual quote was, “we have hired our own propeller head geeks, to tell the truth on the Quixtar opportunity and drown out the negative lies on the web with the facts.” The false and misleading alleged information control came from a site that allegedly is run by Eric Janssen, but Qrush has learned the rest of the story to be revealed at a later date. Qrush has exposed the new Wiki strategy of the critics in my case building against the crimes, deviancy and deceit of our parasite pair."

I've documented this statement on this blog and it's been recorded elsewhere.
