Scarce
By QBlog in Blog News
I haven't had a lot of time to post to this blog lately because I've been mired in building a redesign and dealing with some other projects. It's busy times like this that I like to remind everyone about the Blog Archives.
There's over three years of content on this blog and some of it is really good if you just spend some time to dig through. And don't be afraid to use the search tool. It's parked over on the right side of the site.
To get this started I'll share what I was talking about on this day in 2004. Bill's Opinions explains a blog post I found that discusses Bill's opinions of Quixtar.
So go archive diving and share what you find!

QBlog,
I would suggest you change the subheading name from "Just one man's perceptions" to something a bit more accurate, such as "Just one man's and quite a few other perceptions". Your site is #2 on Google when doing a google search, right behind Quixtar.com itself. I believe this is because you say it as you see it, and allow others to also say it as they see it. Keep up the good work.
My 2 cents:
This might be a good time to do a little "Spring Cleaning". For example, you might choose to delete all non-Quixtar material that's over a year old. For any Quixtar material more than - say - two years old, you might choose to save only the best posts.
stronly disagree :)
It's blog, leave all the stuff on. Some may find old entries.
Being that said, I know server gives u lot of problems. A friend of mine own a box. Let me know.
OR
u mway want to have ur OWN box, we'll talk about it.
I agree with Imran, assuming the cost is about the same compared to reduced information being available. You either have to
1. Keep up with the current postings,
2. Use key word searches to find older issues, or
3. Have a LOT of time on your hands to read the whole thing.
This is part of the reason for my other suggestion to have "position statements" in the suggested redesign posting. The "position statements" can refer or link to the key parts of the seemingly endless forum to support their position, making the effort far more efficient and effective.
I'm all for feedback and offering suggestions on the redesign of the site, and I hope that Qblog reads our suggestions, BUT I think we all may be going a bit overboard.
You should never delete a blog post! Unless you have libeled or slandered someone. (okay, I mean, a blogger can do anything he wants to, but a deleted post is usually considered bad form)
As for the forum, I'd say thatby their very nature, a forum is filled with positions on top of positions and the "threads" of a forum by their very nature and name, "thread off" in a variety of tangents.
You can start new topics or reiterate old topics and move them up the "thread", but other than wading through topics, one has to take the "good" with the "bad" and rely on a "search" function to find relative info to your needs.
Most forum readers expect this and live with it.
If I was going to offer a design change, mine would be...increased catalouge of "categories" for blog entries. This might help people looking for "general MLM info", "Pro- Quixtar", "IBOs in the News" "Kingpin Shenanigans", etc.
That's my 2 cents worth...1/4centPV/1/2centBV

David,
True, most blogs are endless threads, but that doesn't mean QBlog can't pave new ground with his blog. Changes are how progress is made.
Qblog,
I somewhat agree with better Categories; the Advocates, Critic and Neutral, no matter what is posted, ALWAYS attracts the Opposition's point of view, thereby making all theories run together.
News, Facts are so similar and no one can tell difference between the two.
Also, no matter what the topic, it usually leads to money, or lack of it, which leads to the reasons, which are high expenses or too little profit, which leads to Kingpin's tools pyramid, which leads to blame AMWAY.
So EVERY topic, given enough time, ends up with the SAME point(s) being made.
So, a better idea: categorize the main topics, some of which seem to be:
1. Tool Profits-Kingpins-Hidden Business
2. Retailing-lack of retailing-retail prices/quality
3. Motivational Business-Seminars-Functions-Actual Tape systems.
4. Individual LOS: i.e WWDB-Yager-Wilson-Britt, Jody Victor etc.
5. Recruiting-sponsoring-why you got started-how you were contacted.
6. Why you quit-withdrawal symptoms
7. What were biggest problems you had trying to build this business.
8. Legal issues-Lawsuits-Litigation-Court decisions
9. Where are they now? Missing Ibos that quit, were de-throned.
10. New Ibo's post here.
10. Are you looking? for Ibo's considering this business.
12. Brainwashing-Cult like issues.
13. Income projections-Actual incomee
14. Expenses-yearly-monthly
15. Book Review-your favorite books re: Motivation-AMWAY
16. A Spanish forum (why not eh?)
17. A Forum for NON North American Ibo's (ha)
18. A forum for AMWAY or AMWAY's paid spokepersons to post or respond
I hope this makes sense, maybe you could put up a suggestion board for 'Topics'.
I meant Categories for the BLOG. It's a way of tagging the entries and categorizing them by topic.
I am not talking about the FORUM.
These are two different things.
From what I understand, the redesign is about the appearance and set up of the BLOG.
Dave
Hey people, do whatever you want; run around in circles, bark, foam and roll on the ground. I will still make more money per month even sleeping in that you would for two or three months by working eight plus hours a day. Why? Because I don't need a job anymore. I put up with way too much crap at the workplace that I don't even want to remember anymore. A job did not provide me with the kind of financial freedom this business does. Yet, average people will never understand this.
Does it matter?
Apparently, it does matter. It got you to come out from under your rock and post on this site.
I did some digging and found one critic that blasted the pro-MLM guys. There was some guy Tony that got run off by some dude named DF.
There should be a greatest hits compilation by that guy. Anytime someone had something to say, he came back with it even harder. WAY TO GO DF
It was more than DF that got Tony run off...in fact, it was Tony's own mouth that got him run off.
don't split hairs fellows, different strokes for different folks. everyone is not destined to be self employed on whatever level. wherever or whatever your level it takes work, no different than donald trump and anybody else. this business is like sports, u get out of it what you put into it, and if it doesn't cut the mustard you're either satisfied where you are or you try something else. be blessed!!!!
Hey Qblog,
You might want to re-set the clock on your News page...I noticed that it is listing all of Today's updated blog entries with Feb 14th. date.
I know you are prolly adjusting all sorts of things with the redesign and will sort it all out.
Why do I know this?
Cuz you da man!
