I have an idea. Why doesn't Quixtar make a "General Help" page where people can easily send questions and get real, honest responses (in a timely fashion)? Beth Dornan, Robin Luymes, are you listening?
As always, my comments appear in bold.
name: Luis H.
date: December 16, 2005
message: Pls. help! (just found your site)
My girlfriend has been attending Quixtar meeting for 4 months already and she wants me to join the "business" but I found your site and told her about it, she doesn't believe on anything else than the business.
She argues the products are good and money is coming back from purchasing them.
Help! questions: Why do people loose money?
People generally lose money because they spend more than they earn. I'm not trying to be a wise guy, it's simply true. Also, according to personal testimony, internal corporate documents and court records those at the top (Diamonds) receive most of their Quixtar-related income (70%-90%) from selling motivational and training material (tools) to those not making money.
Is there any help group in Los Angeles that can help to open her eyes?
No idea. Sorry. Anyone have any suggestions?
Any support for hispanics?
Again, I appeal to readers for suggestions.
hope you can help
I'm not much help here but maybe some readers can help out.
Seriously, if you out there have any idea of how to help Luis please send me an email or leave a comment. Thanks.

Hmm... 4 months... It may be too late. Her upline, if they are AmQuix "smart", already have her on a steady diet of tapes by people who had built the business without the help from their spouses or significant others. They may have already prepped her to give him an ultimatum "I'll build this with or without you" or simply suggested that she dump him.
My suggestion is simple, though perhaps a little harsh: if this relationship is not serious, run! However, you wouldn't be searching for help if you didn't care for her, so assuming this relationship has a future, stick with her -- she'll need you even more when the bottom falls out. Find ways to provide the moral support to her as a person. For who she is to you, not for what she does. It's very, very tough, but doable.
If this relationship is serious the best thing you can do is not get involved, but don't bring it down. The suggestion about helping her to make a budget is good. Two things, it will help her not lose so much money and will help her see how much money she is losing to this business. What you can do in your time is get educated about this business so you can ask the right questions if ever around her upline.
You will also be able to at times show some reason with her about things she is doing. This will not always work, especially if she is doing tapes on a regular basis. I encourage you however to not be strongly negative about it. Only be disinterested. This business has a history of advising people to dump their significant other if they are negative. More relationships have been ruined in this business then helped. I don't care what Tony says.
I am not sure what you mean by hispanic help, but my wife was born in Mexico and is not a fan of this business either. We have seen it exploit a few people who had just come to this country and did not have much money.
If you want any further info or questions asked you can send me an e-mail: truth@cox.net
Eric and Truth are right on. AmQuix kingpins (leaders) often tell the IBO's to treat Quixtar like a business, and business make budgets and forecast for the future. The best thing Luis can do is tell his girlfriend to do the same.
Set goals for 3 months, 6 months, 1 year, 2 year, etc. Track where every penny is spent and where evey penny comes in from. If you meet your goals, then great, re-evaluate to see if your longer term goals are too low. If you don't meet your goals (and most IBO's will not), ask yourself why the business didn't perform as you wish, and again re-evaluate longer term goals.
In the end, if you track like this, you will find out if Quixtar is truly a vehicle for success, or a money pit.
I respectfully disagree with the budget and tracking approach as a general solution to this problem (but I am not saying that it won't work in this case - it might be just the thing she needs to see the light). The main reason for my dissent is that while the proposition to set the budget, track the profits, have goals and a business plan makes all the sense in the world to the rational and common-sense folks who saw the light and know AmQuix for what it really is, I don't believe it would be the most effective tool against a mind-controlling, cult-like system which preys on emotions and avoids the facts and reason. I dare say that 99.9999% of people make the decision to join a business like this purely based on emotions (liked the people, got attracted to some cause, etc.), not the cold facts and rational evaluation. If latter were the case, most MLMs would have collapsed on themselves a long time ago. Well, so if the emotions is how they get in, wouldn't it be fair to say that the cold facts may not be the thing that will get them out? Am I way off here?
haha i love seeing these negative comments about people like this...
i love to see the arrogance of people and the low self -image of others that they do not see what quixtar really has to offer...
i can come back with so many comebacks to Any of your complaints about the business but whatever i say closed minded people, losers with a low self-image, people that dont understand, people that just prefer to believe what they want to hear, people who failed at it or are just negative about everything, and so on...it wont go thru to you
fact of the matter is you do not know what your wife knows or the people above her know and its human nature to fear what they do not understand and what they fear and do not understnad they usually yearns to destroy...obvioiusly you do not have enough info about the business cuz if you did YOUD BE IN IT lol ive wasted enough time talking to you talk to you later man
youre most likely going to respond to this and lemme tell you this...whatever you say cannot shake me cuz i know a lot more than you know and whatever you throw at me its just a waste of time...
you cant keep a winner from winning and you cant keep a hater from hatin/quitter from quittin/loser from losin
i suggest that you believe in your wife cuz its obvioius you do not care enough about her to be positively involved in what she does
oh man as far as your comment goes some more...i can definitely overtake your negative with much positive about your comment...

last message from me cuz i prefer not to waste my time and have already wasted valuable minutes of my life associating with people like you ...God bless you cuz youre going to need it (^_^)
Angelo since your not coming back or going to waste your time here again "Goodbye". We will miss you like a rash! Who are you to give such positive advise if you aren't successfull in Quixtar? You should have told us how you retired in 2 to 5 years and are living it up! Where are these people who have done all this? OK ,after 46 years 70 people or so and they all didn't make it in 5 years!
Angelo is right about one thing - whatever we 'throw at him' is just a waste of [our] time.
And I have a sort of chicken-and-the-egg question...most of the ravenously pro-quix posters, at least in the comments section, seem unable to express themselves in complete paragraphs, or else they use an abundance of exclamation points and Random capitalization to make their point/s. Run-on sentences and the 'uni-paragraph' format seem to be the preferred communication method of this group.
This 'stream of consiousness' rambling is very similar to that of most of the tapes I have heard from the AmQuix Kingpins - not linear in thought or expression, lacking in a clear main topic followed by a few supporting points, etc.
So, my quesiton is this: Are people who are unable to communicate in standard English more likely to get drawn in to AmQuix because the speakers on the tapes are 'speaking their language', as it were, or do previously literate people become monotonous rambling zombies after too much exposure to Billy Boy, Dexie, and the others?
Quick Question,
To all of the Quixtar haters!
How much money did you company raise or give away to Katrina Victims? Or Needy Children?
Well Quixtar has raised Millions...Let me repeat that...Millions and will give away $2.5 Million in toys and gifts to needy families/children...
Oh my, what a scam.. The nerve of this company to give away all of this money. The nerve of the kingpins to participate in giving away money..
Its so hard to be a winner. I just have to feel sorry for all of the losers.
Ok, I know we are not supposed to wrestle with the pig, but The Motivator has made this just too irresistible...
My company raised about $30,000 for Katrina victims. The funds comprised employees' contribution, plus the company matched every dollar. Now, considering that there are about 300 employees and it's a non-profit organization, I say we did pretty darn good averaging almost $100 per person.
But let's compare... First off, it was not $2.5 million donated to needy families through NBC's Today Show Toy Drive, but $2.2 -- you gotta love how you, AmBots, round everything up. You could check the actual press release at http://www.prnewswire.com/cgi-bin/stories.pl?ACCT=104&STORY=/www/story/12-15-2005/0004234979&EDATE=, but I bet you already knew it was $2.2m and not $2.5m.
And how many of you, AmBots, are there? I think it was something like 300,000 last year. This works out to be about $7.33 donated per IBO. I know most of you don't make this much in performance bonuses for the whole year, so it's a huge sacrifice. And with these numbers, I think it's very safe to say that we've got you beat on the per person donation basis by two orders of magnitude.
Oh, and I know that our measly $30K wouldn't buy us a promo spot on the most watched morning show, so we did it in the usual, quiet way... you know, the way the real charity is done.
And another quick point: if John Gotti ever gave any money to a hospital (and I don't know if he ever did), it wouldn't have made his main occupation any more legitimate or ethical.
Angelo: I'm gonna put a negative kick in your positive butt. I ain't gonna keep a loser from losing, but i'll make it fun, lol. My dad is stronger than ur dad, haha, and u r probably texans fan. lol. i know every thing about your rinky dink stupid bizness, all the hobo u said i've heard it. ur comment was more negative than anything else. lol.
your wife also knows what you don't know and she's faking it in order to make it. lol. i'm wastin' my 2 minutes but i'm lafing so hard. lol.
My company, which is a wholly owned subsidiary of a larger one, raised a lot of money for Katrina victims as well. We also gave a lot of our product away for free to those affected by the hurricane. I'm not sure what the total amounts to, but if you add in all the companies under the parent's umbrella and the free give-aways, it probably amounts to millions. But does the money total matter? No, it's the giving that counts.
BB, as your emotion versus fact debate, it all depends on the person. You are correct in stating most IBO's get drawn in by emotion and disregard the facts (if the dream is big enough crapola). So, for some, they need a big dose of reality slap in the face, and looking at raw numbers and month to month losses might just be the answer for some. Yes it is not the answer for all, but the hardest thing to argue against are cold hard numbers. Numbers do not lie.
Last, for Angelo. Do I know you? You seem to know a lot about me from a few posts on a web site. It's amazing but I could swear you are listening to my thoughts and sifting through my mail...NOT! Don't assume you know anything about anyone posting on this site. Get to know us before you play judge, jury and executioner. Listen to our stories and do your own research to see if our opinions hold any validity. Don't just shrug off what we have to say because we don't agree with you. You have come to this site for a reason, and the people on this site have decades of Amway/Quixtar experience between us. Why not instead of berating us, listen to us and see if we can be of any use to you?
Hey Angelo, or Motivator,
Would either one of you be willing to be interviewed. You seem to think you got it all put together and have the answers for where the critics are going wrong. I was wondering if you would mind letting me have about 20 minutes of your time to ask a couple of questions. If so e-mail me at: truth@cox.net
I've been looking at your postings. I can't help but wonder, why do you even bother yourself by being a critic? What do you get from it? Quixtar is an honest company. Their checks have never bounced. The checks are based on performance.
The reason you have never seen a "kingpin" on this site is because they don't care about you or what you have to say. The Quixtar corporation is growing at an unprecedented level. Some organizations are growing faster than others. Some people join, face a little rejection, and quit; just like they have quit most things in their life. The reality is that most people who start a Quixtar powered business will not become a Diamond. The Diamonds that I know do not make most of their money from selling audios and books or from conventions. They do make money from the "tools." They charge $8 for a CD, SRP for books, or $130 for a two day convention. Who do you know that buys music cd's for $8. Who do you know that buys books. The bookstore makes all of their money by selling books. Most motivational conventions that aren't affiliated with a Quixtar organization cost a lot more than $130. A Robert Kiosaki convention costs upwards to $5000.
I do know who you are talking about when you say "diamonds make 70 to 90% of their money from tools." Those diamonds never built solid businesses based on honest principles. As a matter of fact, they aren't even qualified diamonds anymore. However, I know from personal experience that anyone can become a platinum just by sticking to it and showing the plan. Platinums make on average $34K per year.
It wasn't easy at first to have people tell me no. Some people that I thought were my friends were quite rude to me. But you know what. I'm better for it. I'm stronger. I'm richer.
It is sad for me to see people like you with so much bitterness. If you used to be in Quixtar, and you have since chosen to leave. What have you been successful at since then? Do you make any money being a critic? Are you closer to you goals and dreams? Or have you given up on your dreams because it is too painfull to think about them knowing that you will never get them the way that you are now?
He may try to help her to set goals for her business and a budget for business expenses. Also they should do a monthly profit/loss statement. That is Business Basics 101. I never heard of a Kingpin promoting anyone to do this. The kingpins depend on their downline to be so caught up in the hype, and not keep their eyes on the bottom line which is profitability. Also I suggest that no credit cards or other debt be incurred to fund the business. A person will be a whole lot less likely to fork over excessive amounts of money that is coming from their own pockets.
Basically if he encourages her to keep extremely good records and do the other things that I suggest, that may snap her back to reality sooner.
