Happy Birthday Jesus!

And I bet you think Martin Luther King was really born on the Third Monday of January and that the Pilgrims really had a giant feast with Indians on the fourth Thursday in November.
Eric is right. December 25th is the day that was marks the day we recognize as the birthdate of Christ Jesus, but the actual date of his birthday may have and probably is different.
I agree with Joecool. In the absence of the knowledge of His actual birth combined with a pagan holiday in a country that became Christian, they figured it would be better to find something to celebrate on that day than to give it up to work.

Excellent thought Eric J.
Nice to have someone else say Happy Birthday.
I have always thought it might be nice to sing Happy Birthday on this special day.
Hope you have a wonderful new year.

A date is just a number, a name is just a word. If you're a fan of peace on earth and goodwill to all then Christmas is as good a time as any to celebrate it!
Um, no... even if "Jesus" existed, there's no way "he" could have been born in December... shepherds wouldn't be out tending to their flocks to see the "star of Bethlehem" in the middle of winter.
A little critical thinking can go a long way, and not just about business.
