Quixtar Craps Its Pants
By QBlog in Oasis LifeSciences
The emails keep coming in reporting that the Oasis LifeSciences MLM is filling up with former Quixtar Diamonds and their IBO downlines. I'm compiling a list but it looks like Oasis could be "Plan B" for disgruntled Quixtar leaders. Whatever happened to Rule 6.5 (aka the Non-Competition and Anti-Raiding rule) anyway?
If you know of any former Quixtar Diamonds in Oasis please send that info along. The Team Oasis site (registered to Brian Boyanovsky) has a list of some Oasis Diamonds.

Yes he was in a Ponzi scheme and went to jail..http://www.amquix.info/amway_al_keranen.htm
That Oasis oughta check into his credentials
shut up Tony. If you have something constructive to say then please say it. If not then go back to your upline and kiss his ass some more.
I recognize Joseph and Ann MacGee's names. They were Quixtar/Amway Emeralds here in the Seattle area in WWG. They dropped out of sight several years ago and I always wondered what happened....
Tony,
You are missing the point. MY Supposed Millionaire Diamond Mark and Patty Middleton just jumped shipped after 17 years in Quixtar/Amway. They were in the Kline/Gooch organization. One of the most popular speakers on the function circuit. After 10 years and a Silver level I finally gave up once I found out about the tool scam. Hope some day you wake up to the facts that people are trying to share. Why would a 12 year diamond leave and go to Oasis if something wasn't terribly wrong?
Hope you wake up before you lose 10 years of your life chasing an income that is only in the tools.
K3bour
This is an interesting development. Looks as if Bo Short is going back to traditional MLM methods, after striking out on his own to create a "fair" MLM. I wonder if economic pressures influenced his decision to merge Passport with Oasis LifeSciences?
K3bour is right -- Tony-The-Brainwashed-Quixbot (or whatever MLM he's with) is completely missing the point.
Found out that Mark and Patty are part of the Oasis call tonight - I wonder what kind of crap they will be saying about their great switch. I am sure they will be promoting the next function and learning system.
I wonder if we are able to listen in??? or is locked by password membr ID - interested in the answwer to #3 - I am sure it will be that the function changed their lives and everyone needs to attend the next one!!!!! What a bunch of crap.

Tony! Hey everyone, it's Tony back from a function and full of new pith and vinegar about how he is so much smarter and better than everyone else because he is selling Amway!!
Tony-bot said "Who cares if some old Diamond decides to sell stuff at Oasis? "
You should, because someone in YOUR rinky dink outfit making a lot more money than you , and who already reached the level you are trying to get to (but never will) has decided it's not worth it.
Do you need a picture drawn for you Tony?
If a diamond is quitting, you need to ask why. If you don't, you really are dumber than you portray yourself.
Tony--"but even Dave R noticed it. I notice it! People aen't replying like they used to!"
I only noticed with interest that the comments regarding the Passport- Migration-to-Oasis entry received few comments.
And the comments seem to be focused only on the ex-Amway/Quixtar distributors involved. (of course, the main focus of the particpants of this blog are Q-related, so I expected some of that)
I think there are other ramifications of this migration/merger that speak to my main objections of MLM. i.e. The Greener Pasture Syndrome, as well as the seemingly unending desire of MLM "leaders" to seek limelight and be unsatisfied with merely running a good business.
Switching companies makes good headlines, creates "buzz", and provides a "fresh start".
Sticking with the basics can be boring for some.
There's a lot more underneath this story, and I was just surprised that the usual crack team of commenters have not dissected the "story" more.
Sorry Tony, I don't think Qblog is in danger of dying. Whether Bo Short joins Oasis for two years and then joins another MLM down the road won't matter much in the big scheme of things related to Quixtar and its OWN troubles.
Dave
I listened to the Oasis call with deathly interest in what Mark and Patty Middleton would say. They are so excited to go Diamond in Oasis in 3 weeks!!!! Well when you bring 250 people in in 1 week - I hope so!!!! They are so excited about how much money everyone is making in the first 3 weeks because of the sign up bonus!!! Everyone bought into the $1200 level. When will people learn??? My question is this - what happens in month 2 - when everyone has to sign up real people and they have to spend $12000 and they ask why???
Tony: I would like to say that after reading your messages for the last couple of months I would like to say a couple of things that I hope you will listen to -
1) Quixtar has a great line of products - everthing under the sun - but why have over 30+ diamonds left in the last 3 years???? Some of these were my friends Tony - been to my house - me to theirs- why did they leave a business that "created" a retirement income stream for them? Maybe just maybe the "tool" rumors are true - Maybe just Maybe
2) I have a $150K a year career - Thank God in 10 years in the business didn't lose my way like so many others - I ask you Tony this question: I show my sales team 100K plus W2's over the last 3 years when they want to see it can be done - why won't your diamond show you his Quixtar income to motivate you? Maybe just Maybe because all the real money is in the tools.
I will end with this: I would probably be okay with you Tony if you would just admit that the millions are in the tools - not in Quixtar. Realize that and Tell people that and if they still sign up - fine. I would have no problem with that the governemnt might - but I wouldn't. Good Luck to you.
Sorry so long. LAst one so long.
Am I missing something?
I notice people acting as if Tony has been posting in the comments section on this Blog post. I have looked in this Blog post and there is no posting by Tony, at least not that I can see.
Are these others, who are replying to Tony, seeing something I am not?
Am I losing it?
What gives?
Dazed and confused. :-?
IBuyOnly, Tony did post a comment and since he was banned, and ban list might not be carried over, his comment may have been deleted.
Could be my fault, I'll check with QBlog if we missed something to import, yikes!
He resides in my blog. If you wish to talk to him.
Cliff,
Tony is prohibited from posting here. I've clearly communicated this to him. His comments have been removed and will continue to be removed when I find them.
His continued efforts to circumvent the prohibition may result in legal action.
Those who reply to his comments, should they appear, must know that they will be removed when discovered.
I'm only disclosing this because Tony made it public. I generally keep such actions private.
Where did Tony make it public?
I was unaware he was banned when I replied. But wanted to clear the air when he misrepresented my view.
Banning at Quixtar Blog while not unprecedented, is unusual so I was not aware that I was replying to a banned member.
He's made it public numerous places. You weren't expected to know and the only reason I'm adding the comments about it is because people are seeing the replies to him and wondering what the replies are directed towards.
I really thought Passport was going to be different. I remember reading an article by Bo Short saying "no titles or pins". Now it seems Passport is merging with Life Oasis. Now there are pins, titles and meetings as well as a former kingpin who pleaded guilty to fraud to the tune of $12 million Al Keranen. Oh well, here they go again.

Scott > That raises an interesting question which may or may not have already been addressed on this blog: Are MLM's inherently - dead in the water - flawed? Is it theoretically possible for a company "Green Corporaton" to manufacture competative products such as "widgets" and "gadgets", and market them to a sales force? As an incentive, a bonus is built in the encourage recruitment. It's structured so that even those without downline can make a nominal net profit each month.

Hey David,
I agree totally with your thoughts. I also hope that people will discuss in more detail the ramifactions of these events.
There are a lot of lessons to be learned from the whole Passport/Oasis events.
I have given some of my perceptions over on My M.O.D.E. - Blog.
David, you are right, It was really cool and shocking discovery, but I don't have much to add there.
I, for one, liked passport. Remove scam part and mlm is not that bad. But QBlog / lawDawg etc. were right, you just can't escape the fate of MLM.
Looks like a heel turn (WWE). Tools are BACK, kits are BACK, pins are BACK. BO is BACK. Jody must be mad ;)
But Quixtar Daimonds moving there is more interesting to me than all of the above,
Yes, inherently fatally flawed.
The fatal flaw is that the motivation to recruit will inevitably exceed the motivation to sell. This will vary from person to person, but the inefficiency of the MLM model will ensure that product market saturation is reached very quickly. Then it deteriorates into a pyramid scheme and recruiting scam.
Don't know whether this will get posted or not. Maybe this is not the wisest thing to do, but at this point I just need to vent. The whole Passport/Oasis thing is such a joke. I was briefly in Passport before deciding to build a MonaVie business and I rcvd the email about the "merger". I had a contact from a while back who had inquired about Passport opening in Canada. Even though my MonaVie business was open in Canada I had not contacted this person about it as I was honoring the fact that the contact was made thru my Passport site. As soon as I realized that Oasis was going to be open in Canada I emailed the contact with all the details. Immediately this got attention from the higher ups in Passport whom I will not name. Turns out that they had already been speaking with this person for over 2 years. Basically, I was told that he was a free agent as he was not technically involved with Passport and had only requested info. To make a long story short it turns out he was former Amway/Quixtar and possibly there was more than just him involved. Thus all the quibling about who could sponsor him. Well, to make a long story even longer when I figured out that my interests in the matter were not being taken into account and I by no means wanted to Pay in at the Executive level in Oasis for $1200 I decided that since he was declared a "free agent" by Passport higher ups it was ok for me to contact him about MonaVie. Needless to say that was not recieved well by Passport. Seems I had figured out the game of bringing in large #'s of people from other businesses. Imagine that, duh! Don't know if this person has gotten started with Oasis or not but I just cut all ties with the whole entire mess. Anyway, all that being said I still believe a networking business can be built from the ground up by a mom of 6 or anyone else that has the desire. I believe you can do it honestly, even if it does make some people upset at you along the way. I believe that because I am doing it with MonaVie having just reached the Bronze Executive level by just sharing the product and opportunity. I haven't bought any tools or attended any major functions. I am building one person, one bottle of MonaVie at a time. And by the way, I was not prospected by anyone I found it on the internet, researched and decided to give it a try. Perhaps the reason Passport got so angry with me is because my sponsor in MonaVie is former Amway also. Just can't seem to get over why people with so much money would all still be so bitter with one another. If I can get over the whole Amway/Quixtar thing why can't they just let it rest and move on. Moving on with MonaVie ------speedmom6
Can anyone share more information about Mark and Patty Middleton. I was in there group for five years. I got myself into $13,000 in debt that I am still paying off after 3 years. However a liked Mark and Patty. Know one twisted my arm to spend that much money on it. I am a grown man and can make my own decisions and that is why I eventually got out. I would love to find out what happened to them and the other diamonds such as the Redmens, Vogts, Richardsons, Klines, and so on.
I came across this Blog in my due diligence as a new Oasis Associate with no significant MLM experience.
I was interested in the comments about migrating Diamonds. There is no question that the former Quixtar/Amway leaders I have met in Oasis are each gifted motivational speakers.
Such leaders will succeed at anything they attempt.
Not mentioned in the comments is the possibility that a once-in-a-lifetime combination of events is taking place:
A dream-team of management skills and funding. A 30 year old, unique on the planet, R&D system producing vital products the WORK! A vision and culture of service and honesty aimed at benefiting mankind in a market that is ballooning!
Perhaps that is why leaders are jumping on board a shooting star.
I notice Al Karenan is on of the diamonds on the Team Oasis site you show. Isn't he the one already guilty of a huge real estate swindle. Somefolks might just be moving from the frying pan to the fire.
