I believe most IBOs are rational, honest people who just want to make some extra money with Quixtar. Scott A. seems like one of those hard-working IBOs. My comments appear in bold.
name: Scott A.

message: I've just stumbled across your site and I must say that you've filled a very much needed gap in the quixtar debate. I've been an IBO for a little over a year now and can definitely appreciate the need for unbiased information on the web. Although I've seen some drastic improvements of late there is still a lot of ground to make up.
What type of improvements I wonder?
When I first saw the quixtar opportunity I spent about 7 weeks investigating the business before I decided to sign up. I've run a conventional business for years and wanted some straight shooting on the facts. I found it incredible how blatantly ignorant some of the nay-sayers were but I couldn't understand the hype of the pro-quixtar side.
I had a similar experience.
Eventually I signed up because of my now-sponsor, someone who you'd describe as part of the quixtar backbone. I haven't made any significant amounts of money and have only a small downline but the support of some good people like him has made a huge difference in my life over the last year.
I would guess that the majority of IBOs join because they like and respect their sponsor first and like the business opportunity second, or third. That's how Quixtar and Amway build their business — with relationships.
Having someone that I know is genuinely interested in my success and that I can call any time of day for advice is worth so much more than I could ever express. I had no idea that this was part of the business when I registered but don't know where I would be without it. There were days when knowing that I got to be around those people was the only thing that kept me going. The best part is that because they were there to support me when I wasn't doing anything I know that my efforts now will pay them dividends in the future and they fully deserve every penny they will ever get. I can proudly say that because of my association with them I have turned around my personal and professional lives and have a growing downline, which makes me even more excited because they stuck with me too.
Well, good for you.
Is the business for everyone: absolutely not. Is everyone in the business good: no, there are some bad apples. I can say though that this is the best group of people I've ever had the pleasure of being around and am very grateful that my sponsor had the courage to ask me if I was looking. If you'd like some people for your backbone project I'd love to help. I hope that it will help someone make the right decision, be it to register or to go on their own path, at least they'll know they did their due dilligence. Thanks again.
I sent Scott A. an email inviting him to participate in the Quixtar Backbone Project. I hope he accepts.

Everyone admits there are bad apples out there, but it seems as if no one has a bad apple in their line of sponsorship.
It is interesting that the one's who make the most money are the bad apples. I know that there are some IBOs who work hard, are forthright with their downlines, and make decent money etc., but of the ones who have "really made it" how many of them are rotten? More importantly, could the system sustain itself in a manner that would allow for the honest IBOs to make money without the crooks? Would there be enough demand for the products the honest IBOs sell if the dishonest ones didn't build their businesses on the consumption of their downlines?
I hope this helps dispell alot of the negative "ambot" stereotypes that plague this site. Why I first saw the plan in 1981, I was a college student. I was shown the plan by another college student who I had known since the 1st grade. Our Direct was a respected local physician.
As far as A/Q itself goes, I now think that the biz is beyond repair. The company has known about the tools abuses since before I got in. I was still in the business when they were supposed to clean house in 1983. My blood pressure still shoots up when I read about the experiences that many people had long after I left the business in 1984.
It's sad if a family member chooses not to participate in the"system" he/she will be ignored and treated very badly, as if you were the enemy...Quixtar..NOT for me!!

maybe ,maybe not.
The ones that send qblog and other sites abusive messages ARE ambots. I was a few years ago although I didn't have the info that's at my fingertips now. I had bling faith. Didn't know at the time how blind I was.
"Its too bad that he doesnt realize the bad apples are most of his upline"
Mevi, this is not necessarily true. You have to remember that deception is how this thing works. And I would venture that most of the people in any LOS are victims of the deception.
I believe that most people involved in the business and in the AQMOs are good, hard-working people. It only takes one bad apple at the top of any A/Q organization to make the entire barrel rot.

I must commend scott for that. I do believe there are more IBO's out there that are like him(including myself). Most are afraid to visit sites such as this and tell their story because of the negative attacks just because they are IBO's.
I think most ex-IBO critics got into the business as an act of good faith and made an hosest effort to build the business. In most cases, we got in based on misleading or incomplete information. For that reason, I feel that the average IBO should be given the same benefit of the doubt: They're decent hardworking people who are acting in good faith based on the information they were given and that's why I'm so opposed to a lot of the ad hominem attacks that I see.
That said, I feel that "the system" is corrupt beyond the point of repair, and I hope I live long enough to see A/Q cease to exist altogether.
Scott N,
I do not believe that truer words on this matter could be said. That is why it is important to educate the public about these systems. This is why I like this site and the many others that either present hard facts or ask honest questions.
Please, people, let us keep cival!
michael- I haven't seen these attacks. I think a lot of time the IBOs get quelled by the facts by the ciritics, the IBOs cry foul.
If you guys could back it up with some facts of your own, then we all would have a more meaningful debate.
X,
Thanks for the kind words.
