Monday Reader Mail: 60
By QBlog in Reader Mail
Today's Reader Mail comes from a newly disgruntled IBO. As always, my comments appear in bold.
name: James G
date: October 22, 2005
message: I became an IBO a month ago. I made it clear that I had very limited funds and it was all I could do to scrape together $160.00 to get in. Most everyone there at the meetings, except for the multi-millionaire doing the speech, was half my age. The speech was laced with little sexual comments to relate to the college age students that packed the room. Everything was one big "pep rally". Upon further investigation I found there is very little saving on products as stated, in fact, some are 2 or 3 time the price of similar products purchased elsewhere.
But you're getting PV/BV AC/DC BBQ on every purchase!
Everything was high pressure to get a list of my friends to start calling. When I was told I had to sell using a format which in reality was a combination of deception and baiting my friends, I started to ask questions.
That was your first mistake.
I was told not to think "negative" thoughts. I asked more questions about actual products for sale and prices, but got only a few token partial answers in order to satisfy my questions. I am 48 years old and have delt in sales and advertizing for most of that time and I know a sales pitch when I hear one, and I know deception when I hear it to. I tried to ignore it because the whole upline claimed to be Christians.
Is Quixtar a ministry or a business? I keep forgetting.
I finally had enough and said I wanted a total refund. I now find I have to make special request to two different people to get a refund. I have to pay to ship back items I did not order. The final straw was I had to talk to the multi-millionaire who talked to me like trash and told me, "I don't talk to stupid people (like you)." I listened as he was rude and told me I was a bad example of a Christian because I was poor and had a ill wife and that no one would want to be a Christian if I was the example.
Wasn't Jesus poor? I think he was a Christian.
He tole me he was responsible for saving thousands of people and wanted to know my head count of people I had saved.
I'm no theologian but I kinda thought God saved people, not man.
Quixtar is more of a cult that a business and I am not a lemming to follow along blindly while deceiving my friends in to this lie.
I assure you that your experience, while unfortunate, was unique and isolated to your specific group and is in no way indicative of other Quixtar Motivational Organizations.
Isn't sarcasm wonderful?

Don Lyod and Garry Sadden are the masters in showing you there "true" side. Ask them a question or question there authority and watch out.
They understand that they can't destroy the true. But they will make sure that they destroy the messenger.
Garry Sadden and Don Lyod are pro's at the art of manipulating people.
Never, never underestitmate what your upline will do to you at any point in your business. Especially if they don't like you.
"Q* really tries to make you feel bad when you quit saying you can't rejoin for a year if you want to get back in."
I thought that only applies if you want a new sponsor?
No, they said to start my own business again I would have to wait. Like I would really want to join again
Welcome to the huddled group of hapless survivors from the shipwreck that is Am/Quix. Look at how many Qblog has saved!
Am/Quix = "Run away! Run away!"
Who was the diamond? Glad you found out early.
Hey Q-blog,
Actually it has been debated that Jesus was poor because actually Judas was the treasurer for the disciples. He was actually was begruttled in one verse (forgot which one) whhen they were going to feed people and he did not want to see the money go. Some theologians think he was also embezzling.
Jesus was poor.
By example.
And by station.
He worked for a living, then spent the last three years of his life ministering to people and then dieing for them.
God created man to work. Six days we are supposed to work, and one day for rest. God also set up laws in the Old Testament to provide longer periods of rest for his people throughout the year.
God never intended for us to "smash the alarm clock". Silly.
When I went to "Men's Leadership" co-founder of TEAM started out by saying, "I had to get up early this morning...well, if you want to call 8:30am early..." CHEERS! CHEERS! CLAPPING FRENZY!
I was thinking..."Yeah, you're a lazy bum, and you make your wife get up with the kids..."
Oh well...
I can say the TEAM works, though! Seriously. I have shown the plan TWICE and I stay at home everyday. My wife doesn't work. I have no debt...and I do it all on less than 30K/year! Amazing! It's called living according to your means. Stewardship. Being a trustee of what God has given you.
Welcome back Tony!
Barney,
You are a sad creature...your name is Jason...face it ...everyone knows.
You ruined your place in your business yourself....look in the mirror dude.
I am glad you quit because now I have a real upline..not a loser with no heart. I am sure your wife would be really impressed with you wasting your time doing this tabloid crap! Get a life. She will find out.
Who are Garry Sadden and Don Lyod? What is their pin level?
Will somebody please slap 'Happy' for me?
Quixtar is a business disguised as a ministry.
My theory is simple: By having the kingpins teach everyone that quixtar is a god pleasing business, it allows them to make the "business" #1 in everyone's life because they can justify that you are serving God while doing the business.
Sounds twisted but that's my take on it.
It's interesting the intelligent responses that you get from people that still in the business.
I guess that just goes to prove that we you have a dream the facts just don't count.
It is interesting the mentality that people who choose to turn off thier brains start to demonstrate. Garry Sadden and Don Lyod have always been very good at spinning the truth to suit thier own agenda.
My brother and were in the business for 3 years and observed a lot of interesting things.
The one thing that I can say for sure is that a good tree can not bring forth good fruit and a bad tree can not bring forth good fruit.
isn't funny how everyone who has put an entry on this blog either is a negative person to begin with and won't get off the "nail" and do something with their life, or just didbn't build the business the way it was intended to be built. i pity any ibo that isn't in the wwdb organization because if you were, you would have never put a blog on here because there is incredible leadership there. you ask the mayor of new york city of john maxwell what he thinks of quixtar. ask people who have succeeded in llife and not people that sit on thie buts all day and expect a change ro put out money on the product and don't sell them in retur. no wonder you are going in the hole!! you didn't build t right!!!. oh and if yuo don't know who the mayor of nyc or john maxwell is, then you shouldn't even be putting your opinion on here. get the faqs before you voice your opinion
i would not want to be in your shoes people. you are bashing the number 1 health and beauty website/ business in the world and the top 10 businesses to be in in the world, name one other business that has residuale income, delivers the time and money not just the money. get a life people!
Quixtar can claim #1 in those health and beauty fields but how much of those are sales to actual customers versus people buying from themselves and trying to get others to do the same?
Putting money in the bank and getting interest is a form of residual income. Quixtar certainly is not.
"isn't funny how everyone who has put an entry on this blog either is a negative person to begin with and won't get off the "nail" and do something with their life,...."
Really? How do you know none of us do any good? How do you know anything about any of the "critics" other than what your upline (who want you to continue buying overpriced motivational crap) say?
Ask your upline diamond where most of his income is from, products or tools. If he says products, he's probably not being 100% truthful.
Ask to see proof his income is from products, not tools. If he won't show you....draw your own conclusions.
However, that does entail thinking for yourself...............
And following on Rocket's comment, try asking your upline how much they give to charity and whether or not they actually spend time helping anyone who's not in the "business".
From what I gather, upline is caring and supportive of you, until you stop lining their pockets with tools money. Try to stop attending functions and buying cd's/tapes and see how much love and positive reinforcement you get from your upline.

No, Quixtar is a scam disguised as a business, with its reps using ministry as a ruse to commit fraud.
BTW, Jesus was Jewish.
PW
PW,
My bad, quixtar is a scam disguised as a business.
Ok, who's the wise guy posing as arianne LOL
Ok, who's the wise guy posing as arianne LOL
About 3 years ago within the course of a month at two different electronics stores I was approached by people who made smalltalk and seemed to hit it off really quickly with me. The first time they talked to me for about 20 minutes before mentioning their home business and asking if I wanted to be part of it...of course they used flattery and told me I seem like I know my stuff...blah, blah, blah. The second time I was hip to the ruse and about 5 minutes into the empty smalltalk I said, "are you going to try to get me to join Quixtar because I'm not interested." Guess what...they were.
I equate this to sorry tactics guys use who just want to sleep with a girl. Seriously...you go up to someone and feign interest for the sole purpose of making money off them in the future. It is incredibly disingenuous (and deceitful), which is something Christians should not be striving for. If a guy pretends to be interested in a girl to get her into bed, who is worse? It's the same game to me.
I was approached at the grocery store by a nervous woman who had no spiel or even a card. She looked terrified to be approaching a stranger. I agreed to meet her as all previous Q* people had been so rehearsed...surely this wasn't a Q* scam.
I met her today...with her upline. He was so busy talking and dominating the conversation because I think he was afraid she would screw it up by not being aggressive enough. They told me...we're talking to 25 or so people right now and only 5 of them are going to get spots at our upcoming seminar, which is FREE. "We really need the help for our upcoming holiday season."
What a load of BS. If these products are so darn good then how come I don't know anyone who uses them? I have been an athlete for years and don't know of anyone who uses these products.
Michelle,
What I have learned to do when someone starts talking about my job and asking what I want to do with my life is to say "I know one thing, I sure wouldn't want to own my own business". The look on the guy's face is priceless. I know several people who own real businesses, this is not how they behave. (In case anyone is wondering, I know the owners of an antique store, a day spa, and a contracting company).
Funny Frank,
I was at a spiritual retreat and the LAST thing I wanted to do was talk about Quixtar. There were very few people there to begin with and one was a Quixtar person there. Now, normally, I talk to them so that I can win an audience to give them the truth about what they are truely doing. In this case, knowing all the contact lines, I just worked in all the non-looking signs there are!! It was funny because he was asking things like "Do you like your job?", I said "Yes", (Which is true), he never directly asked if I wanted to make extra money, but he danced around the bush on it and I played ignorant. It was so fun.
Arianne,
Instead of making hasty assumptions about critics being lazy or needing to get a life, you should probably try to refute what we say. Given the poor rate of success, it seems that the IBO who "builds the business right" is a rarity. It is good to see you sticking up for something you believe in, but you need to do better than listing people who have nice things to say about Quixtar (there was a time when the majority of American intellectuals and virtually all "progressive" politicians had nothing but nice things to say about Stalin, and he killed 30-60 million people!) This is not to equate Quixtar to Stalin.
Frankenberry, That is golden! I am seriously an entrepreneurial minded person, and I would probably like to start my own business, but the whole point of owning my own business would be choosing something I love, creating it, and running it myself. I don't see Quixtar as really being for the person who truly wants to start their own buisiness...where is the level of pride and accomplishement?
I agree, true business owners are not going to go "fishing" for partners at the grocery store or department stores. These people scheduled a meeting with me knowing only my first name and my cell phone number. I could have an IQ of 40 for all they know.
X
First, welcome back, I hope your retreat was rewarding. Second, what you say is so true! I wonder if it ever crosses the mind of the prospecting IBO that maybe someone has his own plans for his life and that maybe those plans don't include prospecting people at malls, grocery stores, and spiritual retreats. Also, great point about liking your job. Now, I know that most of us have days where we would rather stay home, but most of the time, I look forward to work.
Michelle
Good point. I think part of the charm of being an entrepreneur is the ability to innovate and do it your own way. This is not how Quixtar operates. If I would like to open a clothing store, I sure wouldn't try to run it based on a vague plan that worked well for a few people here and there, I would try to tailor it to my market. If I was going to enter into a franchise business (like fast food) I would do some serious research to evaluate my prospects. This is not simply because of the amount of capital invested, it is because taking a business plan on faith is not very wise. If you are going to seriously commit to something, you need more than testimonials.
Frankenberry,
Exactly. I couldn't agree more.
I did start my own free lancing after quitting Quixtar. Minimum 'profit' / month is $350. Majority of months are near $1000. And it is part time, ;)
Here is my secret: I do what I know and have skills and training for.
If you are looking for 'investment' I read Donalds' trump "How to become rich". He said ,"Invest in products you know, business you understand and people you trust".
A fun Question to ask IBO is "Are you making money? Show me the proof and I join you. If your upline make money, why should I join you, why not him?"
you guys are all a riot, i luv ya! qblog, that crack about recalling that Jesus was poor and thinking that he was a christian, that is some good humor right there...that is funny, funny stuff. i remember the days when i was as naive and vehement as arianne, and arianne, i don't mean that to put you down. but be aware, some of these people can take your heart places it doesn't belong and God never intended it to go. they can get you to believe some powerfully stupid and mean spirited things all the while thinking you are "helping people." and do you know why? because there is PROFIT in it. thats heartwarming isn't it? i'm with imran and some other folks i've read, you wanna have some good fun, start asking for taxreturns and legit financials...enjoy your response...
Sorry to jump in late, but to refute Arianne's comments, I think we are all doing something with our lives. It just isn't quixtar. I think it would be cool to find this person in 2-5 years and see where they are, and compare how far we have come.
As far as building the business right, it will never happen if you joined WWDB or in my case BWW. Since they like to quote the bible so much; you can't have to masters, you will love the one and despise the other. So, which is it? Do you belong to WWDB or Quixtar?
I guess I should clarify the last comment. You sign up with Q* to be an IBO to work hard and become free; then youturn around and sign up with WWDB or BWW at the same time for no apparent reason. If LOS works the way it should, you can eventually be linked to that diamond anyways, so why would you pay to join his motivational organization? you now have to masters. So now, instead of spending your time selling products and making money, you are spending money reading books, listening to tapes and attending functions. That doesn't leave much time for your distribution business. The best part of it is that now, in your case, WWDB has found a way to make you think you are doing both,
So, if I was building my business the right way, I wouldn't have to be part of WWDB.
Thus being Independent
Frankenberry,
Your last post was right on the money. I'd rather see more critics have opinions like that than to come in here and outright insult and resort to name calling. I agree with your last post 100%.
Same thing applies to IBOs michael. And yes, comments quality have increased. I can read all of them without Tony's profanity. I had stopped reading them.
Imran,
I highly agree with you. I stopped reading Tony's posts along time ago too, they were too long and drawn out and not to the point. They were also insulting too, but it was provoked by several of the critics. Here's one suggestion, if you are going to have a long winded post, either create a forum post for it, or create your own blog. Obviously if you've got something that much to say, it would be well suited for a blog topic.
Barney,
How long ago did you smarten up & leave the 'biz'? Funny listening to the blah blah of ibo's still building.
I've owned my own business and had a job, and right now in my life, I prefer working a job over owning my own business. I'm just not a good business owner, and make a lot more money working for someone else! I've felt that pin push, fell flat on my butt, and am now working a job again, and you know what, arianne, I'm much happier and have more money now!
You shouldn't assume. And it seems all fired up IBO's assume that non-IBO's are all broke, uninspired and unhappy. What a bunch of bull. There are billions of people on this planet, and only a small amount of active IBO's, and there are certainly millions more happy non-IBO's then there are total IBO's.
By the way, arienne, how much money do you profit from Quixtar? If you were in last year, what was your profit on your taxes (schedule C if you are in the USA), and no, this is not personal. I don't want to know your personal information, but your BUSINESS information. I've never shared personal tax returns with anyone, but have seen my fair share of BUSINESS ones, because I've wanted to see how other businesses were doing, so maybe I'd buy one, invest in one, whatever.
Of course, we will never see arienne's tax return, and she'll never divulge she is losing money in Quixtar, as are the overwhelming majority of IBO's. Some business. Fake it till you make it, if you are one of the lucky one IBO out of the more then 14,000 that actually go diamond.
Count me out.

Barney,
You sound like a 'theologian'...too bad that you are not doing what God wants you to do. Gossip...pure and simple is a sin....that'll spin you some 'bad fruit'!!! You want some good fruit in your life...then quit 'spewing' negative. You seem to be quite good at putting the 'spin' on your own thought process...spin that right back and ask God what he would have you do? No more needs to be said about that...you're a smart guy 'do the right thing'.
It amazes me the line of reasoning that these people continue to use to promote thier own agenda's.
Don't worry about thinking for yourself just pop in another Greg Duncan CD and he will make everything better.
Wow! The quality of comments here has vastly improved of late! Michelle, Barney, Frankenberry, Michael... keep it up, guys! It's not which "side" you're on, it's the delivery of your argument that keeps me coming back! Bravo!
One compliment to Frankenberry, for your statement:
"What I have learned to do when someone starts talking about my job and asking what I want to do with my life is to say "I know one thing, I sure wouldn't want to own my own business". The look on the guy's face is priceless."
Thank you thank you thank you for that idea. I'm going to use that one. I've been tripping over IBOs lately.. they're literally EVERYWHERE! BWW must have had a big revival or something. It's hard to explain to folks "been there done that and don't wanna go back" when they're "fired up."
Kudos guys...Imanewme

We had a lot of IBOs in my hometown a few months ago. There was a three week period where I must have been approached six or seven times. It has cooled off a bit, though. I am of the belief that there is a main guy around here who signed up a lot of downlines, but that the initial enthusiasm has worn off, and word has gotten around, so I think the pace of recruitment has fallen off. I don't know the dynamics of where you live (I live in a metro area of slightly over a million people), but maybe this period of tripping over IBOs will be short lived.
It is funny, i see why so many of you quit b/c u are lazy, to see that you have nothing better to do than bash something that is great all because you were to lazy to get it done. I would be glad if i was your upline and you quit
nebraska ibo
Here I thought that an air of civility had taken over here, supporters and critics looked like they were able to debate the merits of Amquix and even exchange in good natured ribbing. I suppose I can't really argue with anything you say though, because all you are doing is making baseless assertions. If you are new to the blog (I am really new myself) you might want to read some earlier threads to understand where the different supporters and critics are coming from. Many of the critics never were in Quixtar, or performed well enough to qualify as "getting it done", so your accusation of laziness does not apply. A contributor here named Truth is also from Nebraska, the Omaha area if I'm not mistaken. You should look into what he says, his former LOS may be the same as yours.
Oh yeah the 1995 Huskers were the greatest team in the history of College Football.
Nebraska IBO, your comments might have some merit if they contained any FACTS or valid rebuttals. Every statement I have made is based on fact contrary to your comments, which are based merely your personal opinion and preconceptions.
I never joined Quixtar (so I couldn't have quit), and it isn't out of laziness. I CHOSE not to join for many reasons including the tactics used for recruiting and the fact that it really wouldn't be rewarding to me creatively. This may come as a shock to many Quixtar people, but there are people in the world today who would rather own a business they are passionate about that allows them to use their creativity even if it means they are not going to make as much money as they would with a cookie cutter pyramid scheme. It isn't always about the bottom dollar because you can't put a price on personal fulfillment. I would not be fulfilled in any aspect if I were to become an IBO through Quixtar.
It seems time and time again most of the arguments "IBOs" have include insults toward people who don't share their point of view, which only weakens the credibility of the "IBO's" argument.
You call us lazy, but do you know us? I bought my first house at the age of 23, and I bought my second house in a prominent neighborhood at the age of 27? All this was after WORKING my way through college (no assistance from parents or anyone), and I have no student loan debt. I am single and 29, and have worked hard for everything I have, but you dare to label me lazy simply because I have a different opinion than you. Supposing I were ever interested in joining your oranization, I would never *want* you to be my upline because of your narrow-minded comments. They reek of immaturity and the inability to form a valid argument.
Barney...aka..Jason M or 'frank mikolas',
Talk about agenda...you will grow up to be a bitter old man. You have lost it man!! Talk about agenda...you seem to have a big one that is trying to do harm, when only you are making yourself look even more ridiculous! The group you have left which is big will only make you more money in the future. May even help you keep 'you wife home from work' in the future. Wasn't that your Agenda Big Boy?!! Get on with your life as an 'Adult' for a change!
Michelle
Man, you really hit that one out of the park.
Barney's critics
You seem intent on disparaging this man's character, even though he might well not be who you think he is. It would be a better tactic to demonstrate how what he says is flawed.
The truth in the "biz" is defined as what will advance that person's agenda.
If the flow of information does not advance that person's agenda then it automatically becomes a threat and is labelled as "negative".
In most cases an upline can discredit "negative" information very quickly. There are the odd cases that the message can not be discredited so they go after the person that starting to talk about it and discredit him or her. This can be done in many different ways but the most common is just outwordly lying and attacking the individual on a persaonal level.
They are control measures that in place to keep people in line.

Thank you, Frankenberry.
Barney,
Oh soo intelligent! You seemed to have quite an agenda then...get your wife home from work! Now she'll work trying to get pregnant again with the stress of living with someone like you...eating 'oreo cookie' ice cream until you want to throw up. You were one that had an 'agenda' to advance your actions against people who didn't deserve it..you know it...you are one messed up bitter person...with Oh...such a HUGE cause!!! By the way as a Crossline I thought you were one egotistical jerk. Sad for you...you blew it.
What's funny is that my agenda is FOR my wife to work. She enjoys the work she does and she gets paid pretty well. Heck, she could work part time because we live well within our means.
But every paycheck that she brings home as a full-timer brings both of us closer to retiring earlier.
And when I say retire, I don't mean sustaining the pyramid, like your emulated uplines do! I am talking about a beach house on both coasts and no responsibilities.
Wake up. Work smart not hard.
2 people working one job each during the same hours makes sense!
It is much better than 1 husband working 2 jobs (dayjob + A/Q) and netting a loss while the wife is at home disgruntled over the financial strife and "missing" husband.
Good luck with that.
Tada DF!
Barney's sole purpose for building the Biz was to 'get his wife home from work'...his comments were 'to be a real man' get your wife home from work. Barney would rather 'pee is his own soup' than actually make that happen now.
To each his own. If a woman wants to work, then fine...work. Achieve the American Dream whatever way a person chooses. Whatever a person chooses to do is work i.e. Quixtar,Job, Business Ownership...whatever...just do it and be happy. Don't try to keep gossiping to achieve a negative agenda...what is in that? Just go live your life and go away! Be Happy!
Like DF,
My wife could stay home if she wanted to. She works and much of what she earns is given to our church and also pays for our vacations. My JOB pays for our house and monthly bills and food, movies, etc.
When I retire I won't be going to functions or showing plans because I live helping people. I plan to go and volunteer some of my free time with the chruch and taking up golf or something when I retire.
Based on the fact that about half of the IBO force quits each year, do you really believe that you can achieve "residual" income and being totally free from this quixtar business?
Seems like Barney realized that A/Q wasn't the way to realize his dreams, and some people take that personally; maybe subconsciously they know what he says to be true but are in denial. Someone fooled you, now you're helping him by fooling yourself. Your loss, not mine, and definitely not Barney's...
On negative agendas:
You really need to stop and ask yourself, "does this make sense?" Are all of the quixtar critics here ad at other websites pushing a negative-quixtar agenda? Towards what agenda? A small number of people may perform antagonistic acts for little personal gain (all I can think of are vandals - but some even do that for credibility), but meaningless antagonistic acts seldom occur. So, us quixtar critics must have a reason for spreading this anti-quixtar media - that's the "agenda" that quixtar advocates refer to.
My question is, for this huge mix of former-IBOs and never-IBOs, what's our agenda? What do I have to gain by spreading negative media on quixtar? It can't be that we're a bunch of lazy bums who failed in the business - because many of us either "succeeded" in the business or never joined to begin with.
On the other hand, philanthropy is a fairly strong motivating force. A lot of folks here actively oppose Quixtar because they want to keep people from joining, and get people out who are ruining themselves financially and alienating friends and family.
I was approached by a Quixtar rep who was pretty darn eager to get me to go to a conferance to learn about Quixtar. Im in college and Ive been approached by many an army recruiter, and this guy seemed to have the same eagerness to get me to sign on the dotted line. However, the whole thing reeked of a pyramid scheme, and I decided to bug out after reading the posts here. Im enrolled in a presitgious entrepreneurship program and I know a thing or two about starting a bussiness, and I *know* that a succesful bussiness owner doesnt need to go recruiting for partners.
Actually Jesus was/is a Jew. Christianity was formed by his followers after his death.
I tried Quixtar on for size for a year. I lost over $1000.00, had a mountain of motivational tapes that all said the same thing, Had fundamentalism pushed on me in a big way, and was told if I didn't see it thier way I would go to hell. (Didn't they know this IS hell?) Lost several friends, and my credibility by trying to push this business and all its products on them. I almost lost my marriage to a wonderful man that was trying to get me to see the light the entire time. He was even holding the darn flashlight, I must have had sunglasses on.
So where am I 2 years later? I am 2 weeks away from graduating with my bachelor's degree. Something my platinum upline told me was a waste of time. I am out of debt (by working hard, and not spending all my money on product to make 300 PV), and I have more free time on my friday nights, instead of going to countless plans.
Yes the big 3 day seminars were kinda fun, and I got a lot of learning tools out of them. But I can get the same motivation by buying a Jim Rohn or Stephen Covey series.
I may never be a diamond, but I will be happy. It simply wasn't a business that was for me. One shouldn't own a business unless it is a passion for them and keeps them going. It shouldn't feel like a "J-O-B". I didn't fail at Quixtar. Quixtar isn't a bad business. there are a lot of successful people. It nearly cost me everything I had (husband, home, and money), but it also taught me priceless lessons about compassion and empathy. my upline's upline was so kind hearted, they are the one factor that I miss dearly in the whole equation. I loved the positive attitudes and the support. that's all for me. Thanks for listening.
To all the people who didn't follow through,
Honestly, I personally think that is the way it was meant to be. Everything happens for a reason. Not everyone is meant to do this business and it is not for everyone. That doesn't make you bad or incompetent or a loser. It also doesn't make those that choose to follow through a loser or bad or better than anyone. There is a purpose in all that happens. The good and the bad. Yes, there are bad experiences, and there are good experiences too. There are many that have decided to quit doing drugs, drink alcohol and hanging out in places that are undesirable to a good life. That is good. There are some that have smartened up their marriages also. On the other side, there are people that have screwed up. There are ones that have alienated their friends and family and sometimes even their spouses. That is stupid. Poor decision making in some instances. Life is a process of learning from the good things and the bad things and is in the eye of the beholder. We all have our own will and God gives us the ability to make 'choices'.
It must be admitted that some of the stuff that is interpreted as bad stuff is made worse by those with a bad attitude and not communicating properly. Just like bad marriage is poor communication, so is a bad friendship. You have to be willing to tell the truth. Not to gossip and spread lies. It really is simple. There is always two sides to every story. Do what your heart tells you to do. Not what makes the 'flesh' feel good, but what your 'spirit' tells you is righteous and good.
God Bless to everyone. Be successful in your heart and don't judge. Life's simple little lesson is 'what comes around, goes around'.
I am sure all of the people that write on this site have good inside them. Even if your experience was 'bad'. quit gossiping..remember it is your perspective, somone else's could be totally different and good. It's people and people can mess up at times, but they can also change. I am sure you are not perfect either. Is your Boss perfect, do you love him like crazy? Do you always love what your spouse does, your friends, your co-workers? It's people, imperfect nature of people. You & Me.
Honestly,
Thanks for your post. I think the issue with quixtar is that there are far too many people who have reported that their finances were ruined or marriage broken up. And the things is that many of these things happened as a result of upline advice. I know not all upline is that way, but certainly there are enough of them where it would be hard to determine who is good and who is not. If people signed up and lost only the cost of the sign up kit, that would not be a problem, but many people followed the 2-5 year plan only to find out it didn't work and ended up thousands in debt or losing their homes/cars.
Joecool18,
I agree...there are many people who give bad advice. There are many who give good advice. There are people who lost too much and there are people who have gained much. It is not Quixtar's fault, it is not the system's fault. It is the fault of the people giving bad advice and the ones that choose to listen. I have always told others that everything is optional, you are an Independent Business Owner and given people the opportunity & freedom to breathe and be adults. I do not want anyone to go into massive amounts of debt to do anything that the business promotes. I would rather have someone stay home than come home to a house where they cannot afford to feed their family or have spouse that is stressed out about paying important bills. I am quite 'sick' feeling over all the negative experiences...it is not right & makes us all look bad. In saying that, I will also add that in my early years of building my business I made some stupid mistakes, made people mad, alientated friends and family...all those stupid things that are written about. I since have 'grown up' said a great deal of 'I'm sorry' and made ammends without compromising my business committment and lifestyle choices. I believe that I am respected because of it and no one can 'shake my tree' or steal my dream. Everything has to be put into perspective. Life is learning and growing. I have many accomplished IBO's, many profitable, many hoping to one day be profitable and many that have gained a great deal of good knowledge to put into their daily life and job life. Many have quit. Many have stayed loyal. I am thankful for all of them. I am even thankful for the one's that write 'bad stuff' on this posting, because it just reveals the heart & hurt that some have felt and other IBO's hoping to accomplish their dreams can learn from the mistakes of others that have messed up. I also know that there are ones that simply write nasty lies to try to ruin people. That is sad and that is where the 'tabloid' thing comes from. Too bad people can't tell the difference. A person just needs to use their intuition, pray about things and things become clear. Either they should committ to being an entrepreneur or try something else. God has plan for everyone's life and not all are supposed to do this. It is that simple. It can be a great thing. My wish is that negative experiences could just be wiped away. I wish all could just grow up. I am going to apologize to everyone that has had a raw deal. Try to use the experience and go out and do something great with your life!

this is hilarious! keep writing so that I can show our group more examples of how ignorant people think.
Thanks a bunch!
Quixtar is the biggest manipulation I've ever been a part of. They recruited me to be an IBO when I was 17! I was very young and ended up trying as hard as I could to make the "business" work for over 3 years. The biggest month I made a profit of $105, next to all the expenses I had for tools, travel, and so on it wasn't really a profit.
I just got to say to anyone who quixtar targets. Read between the lines. They say Quixtar is not a pyramid and they are good at coming up with reasons. Granted it's a part of the better business bureau, it deals with VIsa and mastercard and has debit transactions as oposed to just cash, you can make more profit then your upline, all that crap. However along with Quixtar is the system you have to be a part of to succeed, BWW! You must buy the tools or you won't succeed is what I was told. I could only pay cash for the books and cds, it was very hard to get to the level where I made profit of the tools which would be the platinum level, I could never make more money of of tools than my upline. Very clever, use quixtar as a fake business it's just a website that operates like being an Avon lady. Most of the diamonds profits come from the system, at least half and the system is a pyramid. You'll never find the bbb symbol on BWW, or the FTC, or visa, or mastercard, cause BWW is a pyramid!
Why do you have to make special requests. I just had to write the company. It was a pain in the butt dealing with the guy in customer service, but I got the refund. I didn't even tell my sponsor I quit. Sad thing is, he was my brother-in-law.
Q* really tries to make you feel bad when you quit saying you can't rejoin for a year if you want to get back in.
