DeVos For President?

By QBlog in Quixtar

DeVos For President

UPDATE: Apparently DeVos also registered devosforsenate.com at about the same time he registered devosforpresident.com and devosforgovernor.com.

DeVos For Senate

UPDATE II: Shortly after I published this post the Whois information was changed. The original Whois data showed the organization address as 126 Ottawa Ave, Grand Rapids, MI, 49503. The revised data is of a private, proxy registration. Any ideas why it was important to change this data?

The Mayor's Office may have to relocate.

The address info has already been switched to a "private registration"...

That could be very scary!

"An IBO in every household!"

"Uncle Dick wants you ... to get screwed!"

"Ask not what your country can do for you. Ask what you can give to Dick!"

What a dick!

In Update II, you ask "Any ideas why it was important to change this data?"

Yes, I have an idea. Perhaps it was to cut down on junk mail, spam, and other hate mail. As a private-label domain registrar, I encourage registrants to consider using a private proxy for their registration if they are concerned about being spammed. As you have clearly shown, the WhoIS database is publicly accessible and unfortunately, some not so scrupulous people use it for culling addresses for their junk mail and junk email.

A proxy registration protects the registrant from receiving this junk, while at the same time providing sufficient information that law enforcement can identify the actual registrant if that becomes necessary.
