A New Amway in China?
By QBlog in Miscellaneous
No more group PV/BV? Increased commissions for retail sales? According to Shanghai Daily, Amway will significantly change the way it does business to comply with Chinese laws.
AMWAY Corp said yesterday its sales may fluctuate between a 10 percent drop or rise this year as its business model faces a tough transition with China forbidding payment based on team sales starting next month.
From Tuesday, all Amway China sales representatives will draw commissions directly from the company based on their individual sales performance, said Vincent Hwang, general manager of Amway China East.
Sales teams, in which authorized agents can generate additional commission from sales representatives they recruit, will no longer exist as payment based on team sales is illegal under new regulations released in September this year.
This is very interesting stuff. Read the whole article.

I guess this can be interpreted as an implied admission that "there isn't enough money in the plan". This was one of Yager's rallying cries as he foisted the tool biz on those diamonds who were morally conflicted about it. I guess Amway has to take care of its biggest market. Do you think that the American IBOAI board will be able to negotiate similar concessions for its members?
They aren't adding any money to the plan though. They aren't allowed to pay commissions on group volume, so they are paying a higher commission to motivate their distributors since there is no multilevel motivation at work.
Now look at the percentage - 9%-30%. Across the board, Quixtar pays about 34% in the plan in North America (divide the bonus payout by the total NA sales). So Quixtar is actually putting LESS money into the plan in China than it does here.
you people might want to check some things out before you talk about a subject. Ask some people who actually do this and get some credible info...you just may learn a thing or two.
Uh...many of us if not all "did" this, "b" man!
Why does almost every new supporter always play the "you need to get educated" card? I mean, here is an entire well put together blog, with tons of visitors, many of whom have extensive experience with the plan, or have done significant research into the subject after being approached by IBOs or having friends join. Come on, new supporters, jump in and say "sir I take umbrage with your characterization of
Quixtar. Allow me to present some arguments in its favor." I know I sound like a broken record, and I think that Imran put it much better in far fewer words, so... who wants to play Hungry Hungry Hippos?
Can I play, frankenberry. I love Hungry Hungry Hippos!
Anyway, new IBO's coming here and stating that either we know nothing or we are quitters is a defense mechanism built into the system. The system teaches that if you do as they do, work hard as they work, you will receive the same results as they do (with they being the big pins). Of course, it is statistically false, by a huge margin, but if/when any doubts creep in, and people start to look at facts and figures is when they stop being loyal to the system.
So, in order for the newbie, who still HAS to believe, either we don't know all the facts, or we are quitters. How else can he explain the fact that we don't have what the big pins have?
Something is wrong here....how come Amway/Quixtar has been around since the 50's and on the web site titiled: THISBIZNOW.com they say they have paid out 1.4 billion $$ since 1999. Somebody is making money or isn't this true???
Would seem to me that somebody is full of it here....either the posters here or Quixtar. I thought I might get involved.
Tim, don't get involved. Amway/Quixtar Systems are joined at the hip with Amway/Quixtar. The systems are quite possibly the largest scam in history.
Here's some advice for the pro-Q folks. When you go to all of your functions, try to take a good look and note the names of
all the "awesome" diamonds. See how many new ones are added to the stages or if it's the sames ones over and over. If you generally see the same ones, then where's all the success you hear about on the cd's, tapes and at the functions themselves?
Oh and please don't count the smaller 1000 and 2500 PV pins. They may have moved up, but they aren't making the big bucks yet.
Joecool18,
You re absolutely right...there sometimes is little huge success to point too, depending on where you are building your business. There is however large success in different areas...just depends where you look. There are new Diamondand Emeralds all over North America in Different Systems.
I have always, looked at it this way'If it is to be it's up to me' . Sometimes, there has been situations where organizations have gone through a 'holocost' if you will. What I mean is a great deal of negative within the organization. Maybe because of of stupid and dishonest things that people can do. Happens Upline & Downline, unfortunatley that is the nature of people. The good thing in all of that, it seems that the really bad ones 'get spit out'! All you have to is pray and hope for change. You have to keep your head high and stand on Integrity as with any business a person is trying to do. Really this business is not any different than traditional business sometimes. People keep it interesting and rewarding and frustrating at times. Bottom line is, it's business and in doing business you make a lot of great friends along the way. It is like no other and sometimes when looking for the outside success you need to look at the inner success first. The outer always come after.
Look inside for true success. You need to look no further. Do not boast, be truthful & it will be appreciated by all.
What's interresting here is that China is a nominally Communist country, though they are undertaking free market reforms, and that Amquix declares itself to be a free enterprose oriented organization all the while employing Marxist rhetoric about how one's boss exploits him (you almost expect to hear stuff about "the owners of the means of production). This rhetoric flies here in the US because, even though the government moves us closer to socialism all the time, we have yet to experience it in total. In China, where a population has tasted the oppression of Communism, will Quixtar have to change its approach so that poential IBOs don't have flashbacks to Mao and cultural revolution, or Tienamen Square?
Furthermore, while I oppose government regulation of business, it will be interesting to see how Quixtar works in a place where some of its characteristics have to be altered.
