Sales Goal missed by 98.9%

Scott Larsen's the king of Amway and Quixtar parody. His latest effort, Quixtar Exec Axed for Missing Sales Goal - Sales Goal missed by 98.9% is both hilarious and poignant.
According to an anonymous source inside Quixtar the reason for Ken McDonald's sudden "retirement" from the top position was that he could not make good on his goal to have Quixtar sales at $100 billion in just 5 years. Even after five years of business Quixtar sold just $1.1 billion, falling short of the $100,000,000,000.00 goal by $98,900,000,000. 00 To make things worse, Quixtar still has not exceeded the 1997 peek sales of the North American Amway operation, which Quxitar replaced.
Be sure to listen to the audio clips and compare them to what your favorite Diamond is saying Quixtar will be earning five years from now.

I thought the goal 5 years ago was $10 billion, but if the goal was $100 billion in 5 years, it was definitely wishful thinking. But its good to aim high, I think $10 billion could be reached in 5 more years. I doubt if that had anything to do with Ken leaving, but I don't work at Quixtar, so I don't know.

Can I quit Quixtar and go back to Amway since it is more successfull? Amway was better and easier to spell. Dang! I forgot I'm in business for myself and that they are just suppliers. It was a whole lot easier selling products,building groups,moving tools before the internet came along. I made my best money in the late 80's and early 90's before all the hi-tech stuff came out. Now I see we were all getting screwed and so does everyone else!

Tony, What did you just do for the last two posts? Are we supposed to be impressed how you can rant for two entries, but you had a civil conversation with somebody awhile ago? Too bad Quix doesn't sell Prozac, you need to settle down my excitable friend.

I don't think it's a matter of fighting and bickering. I just try to point out obvious mistakes (deception?) that the kingpins
make when they are selling the business to new prospects. That way the prospects can make an informed decision about whether to get involved or not.
There's a lot of things said by quixtar "recruiters" that simply aren't true, but no one has really challenged those claims in the open meetings.
Now with a wealth of information available on quixtar, people can get a better idea of what they're getting into before they make a commitment one way or another.
Dawson, I never said I should be a UN diplomat, and stay out of it with me and mlm - he called me out, I backed it up, and then he lied (as far as i can tell) about emailing me. That has nothing to do with you, thats between me and him!
My Point was, BIG DOG handled his complaint civily and it made me want to listen and respond, in the same manner. If more critics were like him, we would get somewhere. Instead the majority of critics on here just spout out how its a scam and a cult and the products suck, when thats all BS! The products are good! Its a legit business, and I don't lie when I show the plan.
There may need to be things fixed, there may be some people who are unethical, but thats not exclusive to Qx. And people being paid for training at functions, or cutting a CD - I don't have a problem with. What I do think is wrong is when someone calls this a scam just because big pins make money on seminars and tools! They also make money thru Qx too - as I've shown with checks! You guys need to be honest too!
But it does appear we're almost making some ground. There's seems to be less "scam/cult" BS, and more critics saying, just make an informed decision.
The "95% of small businesses fail in 1st 5 years" - I heard years ago in college. If its still true I don't know, but I heard that in college. The 98% are dead or broke, I don't know if its true either, but I can see with my own eyes, that people nowadays are living in debt. Not saving money, but spending more than they make. I seriously think I have some friends who are either gonna have to keep workng at 65, or live on some form of charity. If they're not saving any money now, what's going to change in 5-10 years or 20-30 years?
Why do you see Walmart greeters who are like 70 years old? When I'm 70 I don't want to be workng at a Walmart. I want to be at my cabin in the woods, or playing with my grandkids, or driving 'cross country with my wife in an RV- not saying "paper or plastic?" Those people aren't bored - they need the money!!

Joe, the UFC stands for the Ultimate Fighting Championship. Its been around since 1993. It's whats called a "mixed-martial arts" tournament. Its basically Karate, boxing and 'real' wrestling rolled into one. You can punch and kick, but you can also grab, takedown, and use submission holds like arm bars, chokeholds, etc. There's also Pride Fighting Championships, which is the same thing with slight differences in a couple rules. Its gotten a lot safer since '93, there's more rules and structure to it now. If you're into boxing or wrestling, its pretty amazing to watch. Its still a little violent sometimes, but it can also be very technical, like a chess match. You can rent them at Blockbuster.

OK, I've heard about those mixed martial arts championships. We have some events in Hawaii. I think the champ was a guy from Japan (Masanoru Suda?) and he lost to a guy from Hawaii Niko Vitale, but recently Niko got knocked out by someone, I can't remember the name.
