The SEO House of Cards

By QBlog in Web Initiative

The Online Journalism Review has just published a article by Mark Glaser that looks at search engine optimization "gone bad."

» Companies subvert search results to squelch criticism

It's not illegal, but it's SEO gone bad. Companies such as Quixtar are using Google-bombing, link farms and Web spam pages to place positive sites in the top search results -- which pushes the negative ones down.

It's a solid article from a skilled reporter. See what other bloggers are saying about it at Technorati.

So there's your mug on page 1! Great article!

I really need to get Trackback added to my blog..but until then, just wanted to let you know I reference this blog post and referenced article at my blog today. And hopefully give Mr. Luymes some food for thought.

Really good article and really helped me understand more or what is going on with the search engine results. I'm always excited to see a professional article exposing Quixway.

Quixtar is just fine. It's just a business opportunity. The best people to discuss the business with are business owners. They are alreay risk takers. Job people usually aren't and they can't stand risk and so they blame quixtar and other opportunities. There are givers and takers, negative and positive people. Match the statements of the negative people to how they live....you'll see an interesting correlation. They complain about other things also. Usually alot. So don't be afraid of an opportunity. If you are positive, you just may do very well.

Quixtar develops franchise oppurtunity just like Mcdonalds, it establishes legal documents and authorization from the Federal Trade Commision, who protects the consumers and Quixtar Business Owners, from misleading frauds or scams. If "IBO's" or consumers have problems/situations with Quixtar/Amway, the Company wants to know your questions so they can answer and help you, instead of individuals spreading so much negative. Hundreds and thousands of people and families has gained a positive substantial income from this company! So call them if you need assistance yo! Yes this is an Entrepreneurial Business, I respect these IBO's because they have some guts to find an oppurtunity in AMERICA.
