Wakeup Factor #1 - Tool Money

I was nauseated for days the first time I heard that Platinums and above make money on tools and the system. How much? No one would say. My first thought was, "I can't promote these tapes if I'm getting a cut!" I told myself then that I wouldn't keep any system money personally — just Amway income only. I would pass the "tool break" on to my downline when the time came. And then later, much later, we went Platinum. And I kept the money. I considered it a fair servicing fee for my "hard work" and an inventory bonus that I desperately needed. Besides, it wasn't much at that level. We weren't buying fancy cars with it. It's unbelievable what a WWDB Platinum needs to invest to run Quixtar and Motivation inventory businesses!
They said in the plan, "We don't make money until you make money." A strong hook for me, actually. Then later, after I became a loyalist, they revealed that Platinums and above do make money selling "tools." Diamonds & Emeralds do make money getting people to functions and speaking at them. It's profit upfront with or without helping people make any money. They didn't explain it in "the Plan." It was hidden; it was secret. Then they relied on my loyalty and devotion to accept this new revelation and keep it hush-hush. Have they all deluded themselves into thinking this is ok?
More recently, new IBOs are informed about tool profits if they read the fine print of the BSMAA and the Premier Membership Agreement. No details, mind you, but it is mentioned on paper. However, they still use the "we don't make money until you do" line in the plan, and they certainly don't point out the fine print on the official forms.
It was once explained to me by an upline Diamond that Ron Puryear began giving tool profit to Platinums because there wasn't enough money in the plan at that level. Well what does that say about the Quixtar opportunity? Hmmm.

Strong hook for us too. Raj Shah used to say it a lot and said he only make money from platinums that ARE making money.
And yes, a lot of backpeddling we see is because of some backlashing they are getting, internet, dateline etc. Had every one kept quite, who knows, it would be a lot worse. Amway didn't earn it's name in a day.
Yet, they have a LONG way to go. LONG way. A corssline silver of mine is telling ppl that he is making $400,000 K / year.
Is he doing any thing wrong? Nope, he is just 'speaking as he has it'. Gala LOS.
Oh BTW, WWDB tapes are MEGA popular in Gala LOS. Different group different tachings eh! This line 'Speak it as u believe it' could from WWDB tape? Does any one know it?
It's kinda hopeless. When a person thinks that lying and decieving is just 'following the leaders' way to success.
Imran, I heard Raj Shah speak several times and the guy always struck me as insincere. In fact, I thought the same of Ganesh Shenoy and in particular Satish Reddy down here in Houston.
I had better feelings for my upline Emeralds Girish & Purnima Desai and to a lesser extent their Diamonds Kulin & Mina. Kulin was a bit more difficult to relate to, he used to make clearly untruthful exaggerations about the horrors of his J.O.B. life before the business.
That was before I discovered the magnitude of the tool profits. Then the insincerity all made sense.
Let's face it though, and be realistic here. How stupid do you have to be, in this day and age, to BELIEVE that these idiots make money only off of Amway products?
Given the fact that this Website comes FAR ahead of Quixtar itself doing a google search (wry grin) you don't have to be smart to figure out what the deal is here.
To anyone reading this who is "plugged in", "core" or whatever the hell you want to call it:
You are a fool to believe the lies that the upline say. Think for yourself, and use your head. Honestly, how much does it cost to resnt a plce to have a function. How much can a tape/cd cost when I could burn you one right now in about 2 minutes? Where does all the money go?
After visiting this website, you have NO excuse. If you continue to believe in the dream, you deserve to go broke.

You are right. If anyone is still dumb enough to think that this thing is good enough to be true, then they DESERVE to lose their savings and their dignity!
Well rocket and df, since u know, it doesn't mean that every one know YET. Let me explain:
When I was an IBO, I just once stumbled on amquix.info and it made little sense to me. It is much better now. I spend just a minute there and got bored. Had I seen some thing interesting as this blog it might have different. NOW I do enjoy reading amquix.info, not then. I didn't hate it, just seemed boring to me.
However, comments like that would have made no sense to me then. No substance, no point, just name calling. Given I was hearing +ve 99% of time, the -ve has to be penetrating. Got to have beef!!!!
And no, saying IBOs that they are dumb won't do any good, to any body. First, it's simply not true. Quixtar is NOT full of dumb ppl, it is full of deceived ppl. If these ppl know the truth, most of them will leave. Some are benefiting from this deception so they'll keep defending it.
Some, however, do know the problem and do run their business ethically. Yes. There are some.
Point I'm making is, don't insult the deceived ppl. Reply with FACTS and LOGIC.

They are the ones that continually repeat the phrase, "The facts don't count"
Remember Chris? Try giving him facts, and what did he do? Wrote a novel. He refused to believe anything that was contrary to his upline, despite overwhelming evidence to the contrary.
The only one who I think even has an ounce of common sense is Robison.
He is realistic, and makes it clear what he thinks of the tools.
It's the tools I tells ya, THE TOOLS. The tools is why they keep spending themselves into oblivion, thinking that'll make 'em rich.
Facts mean very little to the Amway dreamers. If they did, there really wouldn't be a problem, because nobody would buy into the tools.

First of all I'm not clear what u said. Did u said I never posted any data than that is not true (here + forum + my Quixtar sucks blog). Same is not true about u as well. You do bring excellent points. I somewhat agree with the tools; however that is not the only problem.
If u meant about facts that mean no sense to IBOs, that is also not true :) Using the same analogy who has EVER posted ANY data that make sense to 'bots'? We don't know what we don't know but I have ppl mailed me about my blog and related to me. New prospects to core folks. Although I'm pretty sure that Qblog has 1000 times more mails like that.
I'm not trying to force u to comment in a certain way. U say WHATEVER u wanna say. Heck, I enjoy it :) Point is labeling all IBOs with bots is stereotyping. Qblog wrote an excellent post about it. Although many tool IBOs exhibit similar behavior, many ppl do change their mind. Heck, u were in Amway right. Were u a bot :) Many many ppl here used to be an ex IBO. We all quit right :)
Problem is that vast majority of IBOs don't read these sites, or any negative info. But many do. Few of them participate. Point is, facts do matter and these sites do make a difference. Why else Quixtar would google bomb?
Anyway, do what ever u like. Some IBOs are hopeless, and that late Chris was not an IBO in my opinion. Some thing was weird about him. He was more of a plant I guess. I dunno.
Look, I wrote a novel :P To summarize, many IBOs are NOT idiot, they are deceived. Many intelligent ppl have been victim of frauds, which they believe so dearly at times.
Some are too intelligent as well. The ones who quit ;););)
It's the tools... the tools, I tell ya!
When I got in, they lied. Said there wasn't any money in the tapes and functions- it was breakeven, or the Emeralds and Diamonds were doin' it out of the goodness of their hearts.
When I found out the truth, I quit.
I don't lie- and I don't like being lied to. I told them at the start, if they lied, I'd quit.
So I quit.
Yes, I was in Amway (shamefully, my head drops, eye contact is lost)
My point is, if there are IBO's checking out this site, then it should make them investigate further. Many do not. They simply accept that this is a wicked, wicked world, and the only ones who know what's good for them are their upline.
And therein is where the mentoring line is crossed.
Any successful and worthy mentor will allow you your own viewpoint, and will encourage critical thinking.
A mentor with nothing to lose by disclosing all the facts, that is.
If you are in Amway, great. If you like the products, great! But don't say they are the best with absolutely NOTHING to base that opinion on.
And for heaven's sake, don't turn a blind eye to where the real money is coming from, the tools.
If you know the tools are the $$, then say it in your plan. Don't give off half-truths and unsubstantiated facts. The big one being that you have "partnerships" with large companies.
The income claims and success by association are half truths at best. But I think anyone who understands it can call it what it is....
Deceit
I never signed up for Amway, although I came very close. At the end of the day, my gut instinct told me something was not right.
I grew suspicious when I had to pay ten pounds (about $18) to go to a large open meeting. I had no idea at the time that the diamonds made the bulk of their cash from the tools.
I still have no idea to this day if those folk, who showed me the plan were aware of the tools income.
All I can say is that only a 'tool' would sign up to this once they knew that the diamonds got all their income from 'tools'!
Interesting that all these bloggers have so much time to knock something they know nothing about. "I almost signed up". Wow... must be real intelligent to talk bad about something they ALMOST did. Sounds lie my 9yo saying that he hates brocolli when he has nevered tased it.

its sad that some people crib about some oppurtinity which is helping a lot of people. seldom do these fools understand that they are buying the same tools in the name of movie cds and songs and music cds whish can always be burnt in a fraction of minute. Ever questioned that folks? Why shout when they give you the same oppurtinity to speak and make money on your own speech.

I was just hitting my upline diamond name in google and this site popped up. I am really sorry for those, whose wrote the comments about the tools money. So what, if the big shots make money of the tools. Grow up guys. its a business. everybody has to make money. I dont know what the percentage is. i dont even care. even if they make 90% and we make 10%. still its ok. atleast we have 10% on THE SIDE other than what we make fulltime. After All, we will also be in that position to collect the tools profit later on. It doesnt really matter at all. forget about the dream bla bla.... etc. Just think this as a regular BUSINESS. EVERYONE HAS TO MAKE PROFITS. NO BIG DEAL. dont waste your time in posting this crap. I pity on you for your small thinking. The function hall may not cost much. I can build this business just for the teaching what they have done until now, forget about the future. I dont even care, if i take 20 years to go diamond. I am very happy to associate with the people in the system. JUST GROW UP.

Reading comments by "rocket" and "Imran Aziz" and the likes, it seems that their pet peeve is tools money. They hate the fact that ULs get cuts on tools. Just curious... has anyone tried building the business without tools? I mean you dont have to buy the tools if you are so stuck up on this issue... you know what i mean?

People forget (or never knew) that before Sidney's AUS site, it was standard for people getting a cut of system money to stand on stage and tell the bald faced lie that they were not making any money off of the training system and that all of the money paid in was just to cover their costs.
It's only because of critics drawing attention to these unethical practices that any of them changed. And it has a long ways to go yet.
