PowerBook Down

By QBlog in

My PowerBook died... again. It's currently in the Apple shop and won't be back for a while. My super-wonderful Blogging 101 post was on that Titanium laptop and so you can probably guess what's next. Blogging 101 is delayed.

I still like Macs. The PowerBook was a little over three years old and I used it every single day. That's not so bad for a laptop, right?

I owned my Ti-G4 for about 3 years, and used it almost constantly. Mine continued to work even after falling from a platform where I was using it in a concert. (Concert was over at the time.) Although the drop to the hard floor caused the top to separate from the bottom, it continued to work for 6 more months until the screen finally went down. Replacement would have required an entirely new casing along with the screen, nearly costing the value of a new unit.

So I now have a new G4 Powerbook, nearly a year old and used almost every day.

It takes a lot to stop a Powerbook.

I've used my laptop for about 38 years with no crashes whatsoever.

Seems odd that yours has crashed. ;-P

Wait for my next comment. :-)

Qblog,

Maybe its time to think about a new PC from Quixtar's partner store- IBM, hehehe.

I had a Sony Vaio laptop I got in December 1999 and just replaced last month. It was used every day and I hated to give it up, but I had lost several keys and the battery no longer would hold a charge, and there were several other small probs with it.....

Mikey:

I suggest you spill the beans on your AWESOME margarita concoction -- you knowm the one made with XS and Vodka?

Wait, Margaritas are made with Tequilla.

Explain yourself poser! It's been a week!

Well DF, Mike has posted an AWSOME recipe in the forum.

I haven't seen it -- no time for forums.
Mikey, post it here....
