So Busted

By QBlog in Web Initiative

Every time I think I'm done commenting on the ineptitude and clumsiness of Quixtar's Google Bombing Blogs I run across something so ignorant and incompetent that I'm forced to stop everything and stare. Like driving by that car wreck, I don't want to turn and look but I... can't... resist.

So Quixtar's latest Web "car wreck" is a clear and unambiguous violation of Google's Quality Guidelines. One of the Google Guidelines is "Don't create multiple pages, subdomains, or domains with substantially duplicate content."

Don Wilson Quixtar Nutrilite Review: Plants to Concentrates

Quixtar & Nutrilite have the know how. The science of turning plant materials into nutrient rich contrates is an amazing amount of work. It requires special processing and state-of-the-art equipment. Did you know that within hours of harvesting, the Nutrilite plants are dehydrated using carefully controlled temperatures and an airflow that protects the heat sensitive nutrients?

Don Wilson: The dehydration process does two things. (1) It kills microbes that could multiply while (2) locking in the natural vitamins, minerals, antioxidants and other phytonutrients. What's next? The dehydrated powered is milled into a fine power and mixed to create the unique Nutrilite concentrate blends

Quixtar and Nutrilite combine the best of nature with the best of science.

So why am I wasting my valuable blog space boring you with this stupid post duplication? Well, let's just say that I'm compiling evidence both publicly and privately to present to Google. I've been in contact with Google and they're very interested in what Quixtar is doing because it ultimately erodes the value of their search engine results which translates into BAD NEWS for Google. Google makes their money from search results and if those results are worthless, they don't make money. And if some billion dollar corporation is funding a campaign that could ultimately result in significant revenue losses for Google, well they wouldn't be very happy with Quixtar.

You can help me collect this evidence. I have a list of 35 42 blogs that I believe participate in Quixtar's Google Bombing campaign. Here is the list:

It is incomplete. If you know of other blogs that are not on this list, please email me a link to the blog along with the reasons you believe it should be added to this list. Things to look for are outlined in Google's Guidlines:

  • Make pages for users, not for search engines. Don't deceive your users, or present different content to search engines than you display to users
  • Avoid tricks intended to improve search engine rankings. A good rule of thumb is whether you'd feel comfortable explaining what you've done to a website that competes with you. Another useful test is to ask, "Does this help my users? Would I do this if search engines didn't exist?"
  • Don't participate in link schemes designed to increase your site's ranking or PageRank. In particular, avoid links to web spammers or "bad neighborhoods" on the web as your own ranking may be affected adversely by those links.
  • Avoid hidden text or hidden links.
  • Don't load pages with irrelevant words.
  • Don't create multiple pages, subdomains, or domains with substantially duplicate content.
  • Avoid "doorway" pages created just for search engines, or other "cookie cutter" approaches such as affiliate programs with little or no original content.

Lastly, if you're an IBO and you've personally witnessed your upline saying that Quixtar was Google Bombing or anything similar to that please let me know via email. Or if you have any documentation that you can give me (emails, memos, etc.) discussing the Web Reputation Task Force please send that to me as well.

Thank you,

I know the key point here is the "Google Bombing", but I just had to say that the above is some of the worst writing related to a commercial enterprise I have ever seen.

"The science of turning plant materials into nutrient rich contrates is an amazing amount of work."

So is running spell-check or proof-reading, evidently...

Mike

Mike,

That ties into points I've been making.

1. Their Google Bombing campaign is being run by incompetent twits.

2. The fact that it's so poorly run only reaffirms the notion that these blogs AREN'T about sharing informatioin, blogging, communicating or anything else but that they are ONLY about trying to manipulate search results.

Maybe slightly OT, but slashdot has an article posted this morning mentioning a new initiative to combat 'comment spam' in blogs. May not affect this directly, since most of Quixtar's blogs have comments disabled. But based on this, I can see Google trying to do something about this as well.

That's it QBlog, get em!!!

I made a post some time ago relating Diamond Mark Crawford's talk to his silvers and above where he stated that Quixtar would be waging a search engine bombing war against negative sites. Sorry, I have no documentation, only my memory. I believe he was a member of the IBOA board at the time, just back from a meeting.

It's pretty obvious that if the Quixtar Company and the kingpins don't give a darn about not following their own rules and bilking money out of people, then they won't give a rat's ass about following the rules set out by Google.

I'm sure that they have covered their tracks so that they are not directly culpable.

Good Job, QBlog.

Orrin Woodward had many blogs unter Team Of Destiny....and several more new ones under Team. They have either his name, or the team name integrated into the blog address. some pretend to be run by people in his downline, but they are the same as the supposed blogs run by the various Diamonds, and are surely orchestrated and directed by the IBOAI web initiative.

If you were on tape of the week you would have the evidence.I'm sure one will pop up because they record everything. Most of the Diamonds can't even turn a computer on anyway to blog!

Google, best search engine that has made lives of so many ppl easier, and these slummy a-holes are screwing it. Just like the abuse everything else

- Trust, abused
- MLM model - abused
- Direct Sales - abused
- American Legal system - abused
- Blogs - abused
- Google - abused

Who cares about Blog, whatever that is. Do something with your life. I'm outta here. This is retarded.

More intelligent IBO comments. Quixtar cares about blogs. Maybe you should investigate why Mr./Mrs. Name.

Hey NAME, what give you the ability to decide that blogging isn't doing something with your life? In your infinite wisdom, did you ever stop to consider some people consider blogging to be a fun and enjoyable hobby? And then there are those like myself who enjoy reading blogs. Certainly blogging isn't my life's work, but we could all use something we enjoy.

dmm, I dont think NAME even understands what a blog is exactly, even though he/she just posted on one. This one comment, "Who cares about Blog, whatever that is.", gives me some ideas about this person. He/she is running a web bussiness, yet doesnt understand the web at all. With this level of web ignorance NAME will probably be a Diamond some day. By the way NAME, I'm sure that you are a pretty sharp person, but, that wasnt a compliment.

Quixtar employs sock monkeys to maintain web blogs.

http://www.amquix.info/humor/sockmoneky/sockmonkey.html

OMG, thats a pretty funny website.

You really are ignorant! Prayer is more powerful than anything this site says! What a bunch of garbage!

lol man i cant believe i ended up surfing to something this pathetic... but i surely believe that the net and sites such as this.. are nothing more than e-jerryspringers. you guys really need to get a life. why dont you try spending some time finding good things about the world rather than proving how much more your neighbor sux than you. thats the real point right? you dont feel all that great about yourself so you look for ways that other people are worse than you to make urself feel better... how highschool can you get? GROW UP.

chk this out.... conains some more blogs.

Are you serious? Are you actally going to waste your time by trying to smear the name of a multi-BILLION dollar business? That shows how LITTLE you know about it. Why don't you stop whining about what you have no clue about, and actually do your research. The world does not need more hypocrits.

I feel very positive about my association with my support team, the products, Quixtar and legacy. I take Nutrilite supplements and like them a lot. I no longer watch TV but read books and develope my people skills to better serve my family. I am proud of myself and the fact that I am chasing my dream, I hope someday you will feel the same.

LOL!

Hello Webraw Guy,

I do not know what your motive is, but after viewing your site. I can not agree to it. You seem to have had a brush of a personality conflict with your wife or prior business partner that was an IBO and not the business. Please take you personal issues and point them in a direction of personal responsibility and not at our Teams or Business. All you do is put people down and point your figure at others instead of at yourself. Our business Teams that are powered by Quixtar have shown great positives to all of those who are looking to change and make a difference with others. I am sorry you had a bad run at it with your family or partner. That is not the case with mine. I hope you can move on to do something that does not terr down something that is doing more good than bad. I wish there was a site that magnified all the good. If there was it would surely out weigh this negative energy you are holding on to. Maybe I will create one. This Team and Business has helped me in so many ways that I could not have found just working in Corporate America. We all make mistakes, but where is your forgiveness? You look like you have talent. Please focus it on building others up.

@ TJ

We all make mistakes, but where is your forgiveness?

Forgivness is one thing but trust and respect are earned and earned hard. One can forgive but never trust or respect again.

I was an an IBO for 4 years and saw massive turnover of new people, the only ones making money were the directs(platinums) and above. And that was one person for every few hundred in Amway. All the newbies are just brain washed with "THE DREAM". Anyway something interesting happened in our line that really woke me up, My upline Emerald (18 yrs in the business) committed suicide. She had the perfect life, Farm, money, kids, her and hubby were jetsetting Emeralds with everything you could possibly want. Except she knew it was all built on a lie and couldn't handle it anymore and knocked herself off 2 days before a massive AMWAY Business Building Seminar (read: brainwashing event!) hows that for living with a lie!

To QBLOG, you wanted documentation, well i swear i was given a CD once that had one of the Duncan's bragging about the task force and how they were going to Google Bomb (i don't remember if he used the term"Google Bomb" but it was the first time i ever heard about idea of throwing off a search engines results), I was so brainwashed at the time that i was glad they were doing it (forgive me). Sadly, i destroyed all of my CD's (i'm not sad about destroying them, i'm sad about not having the google bombing speech) but if anyone else remembers this speech please send it to QBLOG.
-razorback

I was in Amway 3 times.

If I would have been old enough, I probably would have done 3 tours in Vietnam, too. Wow! I can hardly believe how brainwashed my wife and I were!

We missed out on family get togethers, got rid of our TV and spent a fortune on tapes and going to "functions".

I had lunch with Mark Crawford one time when he thought there was a chance I might make something of a good "Amway Priest" myself but there was something fake about him that I couldn't put my finger on...

Mayhaps it was his wannabe Rolex.

Anywho - we bailed just as the WE WON'T CHANGE OUR NAME thing was happening and I certainly am glad I did.

Because now I'm a Scientologist...;-) (they don't have so many dang meetings)

Good Job on this blog - keep it up!

Barry (can't use my last name - I don't want anyone to Nutrilite me)

If I tell you the truth and you don't believe it, what does that make it?

I can't believe I just wasted 5 minutes reading this bathroom wall. You people don't have a clue (or a life). The Quixtar opportunity is simply an opportunity for the little guy to compete with the big guys. Most people don't have millions to throw into a business so they roll the dice with Quixtar. Some make it, some don't. The ones who make it talk about it on stages all over the world and live incredible life styles. The ones who don't make it talk about it on blogs (bathroom walls). The only difference between the average person and the super rich is the way they think. Most of us are average so there is an educational system in place to help the average person become above average. You call it brainwashing but if you want to brain wash me to think like Bill Gate, Ray Crock, Dave Thomas, brain wash away. Quixtar provides average Joe with an opportunity to make an extraordinary income but there are no guarantees. You either stick with it and make it or you quit. I want to thank you all for your incredible insites. Insites I probably won't be using tonight while I'm sharing this business with a friend but it's nice to know that the people who quit this business or have never even seen the business have an opinion. Wright or wrong...they have an opinion.

Hey mr QBlog, well let me tell you something. Ive come across your site a couple of times, and well you make some fair points. But, well, in my life, ive noticed that people who fail at something go on to throw it down because they did not achieve what they wanted. My parents came into the Quixtar iCommerce business a scant 3 years ago. My father ALONE is making 300,000 in bonuses. just bonuses. He also spent 7 years in Amway trying to make it big. He also felt bitter and wanted to destroy Amway because he never succeeded at it. Now, after realizing that he had to do something instead of complaining, he now is an Emerald making more money than he ever dreamed of.

Now, i have to agree that, yes, Quixtar does get pretty hokey with its methods, but well, it got my parents out of a little country called the Dominican Republic, and made them free from a mediocre life, because well, complaining gets you nowhere.

And if that wasnt enough, I myself am a qualified Platinum for the 3RD MONTH IN A ROW.

Did I mention i just turned 16?

I received a call yesterday from some dude I half met wanting me to join their iCommerce business. I agreed to the meeting but after Googling around a bit I decided to cancel the meeting. It seemed there was too much Amway hype about it. After reading this blog I'm so happy I didn't waste my time.

Way to go Qblog another stone from david at goliath...No one has ever done something great without being critized... I heard Orrin woodward speak last night ,, what a leader!!!!!

everyone who believes in amway, quickstar, the team of destiny, the-team needs to get a life. the higher ups are making money off of 99% of everyone under them. when people catch on the change the name or someone breaks off to form a ne MLM. Why do you think they keep changing names to trick uneducated people to empty their wllets into the scam chain. This whole thing is a scam and will not end until the government steps in and arrests all the people who form these scams.
