Monday Reader Mail: 30
By QBlog in Reader Mail
Every Monday I publish something called "Monday Reader Mail." Today marks the 30th installment of this weekly feature. The point of MRM is to showcase some of the emails sent to this blog every week. The emails are unedited except for the removal of email addresses and last names when provided. As always, my comments appear in bold.
name: Bill
date: January 20,2005
message: Man get a life. Dont be a hater just because you could not support your spouse which probably why she quit. Everyone has the same oppurtunity to build a great business. World Wide has always been up front about the money in the business, no secret. It is a business, go figure. I wonder if Anthony Robins gets a bunch of bull from people when they pay $1500.00 for a day and never get to meet him then hundreds for CDs book ect... and then get to go back to work where they cant apply anything they learned, what about that????
So we're comparing Quixtar to Tony Robbins? Or are we comparing the Business Support Materials business to Tony Robbins? If so, then why not open up the tool businesses to competition just like Tony Robbins?
or how about college these days? Thousands and thousands oh and then the hundreds and hundreds on books, then you get your 25K a year job that your sick of in a few years and thats only if you can find one that you went to school for.
You're right. College sucks. Traditional education sucks. It's the higher learning that's a scam! It all makes sense now. College = Waste of money. Motivational tapes = Great investment.
If you guys are going to post alll this stuff atleast compare it to something. And to the guy that was at FED when Greg was talking a bout Google bombing, how was your first function? The internet is really the bathroom wall of society that is why people google bomb.
So the high-level pin who sent me the testimony about Greg Duncan was attending FED for the first time? I see.
The only reason more people dont have negative about them online is because they have not done anytihng of significant enought o warrant it. Name any huge player in business that does not have negative about them. Losers dont like winners thats no secret and it will always be that way.
I debunked the critical Web site myth a long time ago.
Quixtar is an awsome oppurtunity and yes I think there are some bad apples trying to build it just like there are idiots down at where you work and just maybe, just maybe you are the idiot. So just check things out and get around the people that are actually doing something with the business, something good. Use common sense if you can find it and make your own decision on whats best for you. I thank my upline every day for the mentorship and giving the me the belief that I can go Diamond. What kind of belief do you get at work? That you actually will be working there til 65-70, now thats belief ha haha.... I have to go show the plan now. see ya
Bill
Well Bill, I'm on my way to work at my J-O-B. See ya.

I am always amazed that one of the things IBO's get that never gets touted in the plan. What is it you ask? ESP! Seems like every IBO that comes here just knows I'm a broke loser not doing anything with my life. And they can get all this information just from my postings on internet sites! It's an amazing gift, I tell you, but unfortunately it is wasted on telling people they are broke losers, instead of "edifying" people for positive things.
Anyway, I find it comical that the e-mailer wants us to use common sense, yet spouts nothing but tapespeak. Maybe we have already done our research and applied our knowledge, Bill, and our conclusion is Quixtar is not for us, and a bad deal for the overwhelming majority of participants. We have facts, figures and numbers to support our claims, and if you do the research, anyone can find them. In contrast, pro-Quixtar people usually use just regurgitate motivational speech (tapespeak) or make vague claims of riches that are never proven to support their side. Use your common sense and see what this tells you.
Yet those IBO's with super ESP powers that know I'm a broke loser still prospect me when their opens are at my hotel! While I'm working my loser J-O-B to boot!
Guess they need to save me from myself!
We're only broke losers til we get in THEIR group.
Then we're winners because God made us to win!
(but ONLY if we listen to tapes, read books and attend functions. and use only AmQuix products. and never question our upline, ever. That's the way God made it. Didn't you know?)
I'll have to let my "loser" Pastor in on that.
Funny, I can't find the Book of Dexter in my Bible - ah yes, I didn't get the "content reviewed" one thru InterNet Services.
And after the sixth plan, Dexter rested. And had a refreshing XS!!
Bruce,
It's actually:
And Amway was waste and without profit; and it was dark on the face of the wall of diamonds: and the Spirit of Dexter was moving on the face of the pyramid.
And Dexter said, Let there be tools: and there was tools.
And Dexter, looking on the tools, saw that it was profitable: and Dexter made a division between the Amway and the Tools,
Naming the Amway, "the business", and the Tools, "secret profit". And there was business and there was profit, the first day.
Roger
The great thing about not being involved in Quixtar is that you can do whatever you want with your evenings. (i.e. not show plans)
You can spend every weekend however you choose. (i.e. not going to rallies)
You also have the freedom to spend your hard-earned cash on things you actually want. (i.e. not tapes / books / seminars)
When you meet a new person you are actually interested in them rather than just seeing a potential recruit.
Marvellous!
I don't think it's right for the individuals posting here, especially Bruce, to be criticizing somebody else's business.
It's bad enough that Bill is totally brainwashed, and is slowly but surely being taken to the cleaners both financially and emotionally, than to have everyone start rubbing salt in the wound and attacking him for his poor choice of business selection.
Bill, if you're reading this, you go get 'em big guy and remember: "Let the dogs bark, because this caravan is moving on (to the edge of a steep cliff). GO DIAMOND BRO!
You folks are too funny! I will repent and say ten Hail Birdies
Is there a standard form the king pins hand out called the SRTB 101? (standard response to blogs)
Bruces posts looks word for word what most other IBO's post in regards to negative quxtar websites. I swear I have seen that same post on every anti-quixtar site.
Here's something I wrote a couple of years ago that is pertinent:
http://www.webraw.com/quixtar/forum/viewtopic.php?p=1081&highlight=gospel#1081
"And to the guy that was at FED when Greg was talking a bout Google bombing, how was your first function? The internet is really the bathroom wall of society that is why people google bomb."
Even in the bathroom, you won't get feces all over you until you start slinging them ; )
"Use common sense if you can find it and make your own decision on whats best for you."
They did. They failed the brain-stem test.
The one thing that always irk me about IBO, is that they're constantly put down people who chose something else as being better for them.
Listen to Ron Puryear teaching--serve everybody at their level of need. That includes those who chose not to participate. Serve=being kind and polite & courteous to all. Are you being a servant or a tyrant with the opinion and attitude expressed in your letter, Bill?
If you want to know my pin level, I'm in WWG, a Ruby with one silver legs and 9 other growing legs. Puryear is my first upline Diamond and, yes, he's mentoring, along with my Emerald & Ruby.
And yes, Imran, I'm now a fully brainwashed Ambot cultist--I fully believe in the value of WWG. And yes, if I could, I would change it to a donation-based org.
Hey Jen, welcome back. When did I call you a "fully brainwashed Ambot cultist"? I think I never did :) Have a data to back it up ;)
Regarding the topic on hand: I always wonder why these IBOs bother to post on the same thing they put down? Why is that?
I don't see them posting such things about ppl who speak against RIAA? or Newspapers? Just wondering.
I am the one who called Jen brainwashed.
Although, I don't think I called her an Ambot--but I will now.
Jen, you're a brainwashed Ambot!
There, how'd you like it?
I don't care if you liked it or not. The lot of you are bunch of idiots that refuse to listen to reason. If you don't that's fine. We'll see you back here after your lose your financial arse....
Jen wrote:
"Listen to Ron Puryear teaching--serve everybody at their level of need. That includes those who chose not to participate. Serve=being kind and polite & courteous to all."
Jen, Jen, Jen...maybe you ought to listen more closely to your mentor, and repeat his WHOLE statement - not just the portion that supports your position...
and I'm paraphrasing here....Puryear said ...'Serve everybody at their level of need. If they don't want to be a business builder after you've showed them the plan, then they will certainly want to become a Prosumer. But if they don't even want to see the value in that, then surely they will become your client. If they don't even want to be a client and support your business, then they probably aren't the friend you thought they were anyway...'
I don't know about you, but I don't find that statement to be at all 'kind and courteous'. I find it to be judgmental.
Run with it Jen. You too Bill.
Both of you obviously have found a way to be more productive than us. How are Amway folks considered more productive anyway?
I am curious though, what exactly is the brainstem test Jen? If your brainstem functions you don't qualify because that means you can think for yourself?
Or do they tell you that in next week's tape?
Same Quix time..Same Quix Channel
Jen you have yet to make any kind of valid retort to any criticims about your little rinky dink business.
You said in a previous post that you don't consider diamond a success level. You also said you work 90 hours a week.
I asked how you plan to build this to a financially stable level through retail with about 70 hours left in a week, without the tools income.
No answers, only more tapespeak rhetoric that every ....single......IBO is programmed to say.
Whatever you do, don't validate your claims. But before you say you don't have to validate anything to a negative loser like me, remember, you brought it up.
Hope there's a tape to help you answer that.
Bill, did you cut and paste all that little letter of yours? Because there was not a single original thought in any of it.
It's all been said before. GO DIAMOND BILLY!
By the way
I find it absolutely unbelieveable that you are a ruby with a silver leg, and not on the system of tapes, seminars, etc...add nauseum.
That just does not happen. Anywhere on the internet that we could check your story out?
I thought not.
Well Rocket,
I believe Jen. If she says she's a ruby and has legs or whatever, then I believe her. You don't have to but I just want to say that I do believe her. I think that if anyone is going to achieve success in Quixtar Jen can do it. I respect her for how she's handled her business.
Has Jen said or done anything different than any other IBO that I have missed?
Her answers are different than the typical tapespeak, but I'm not aware of anything which would separate Jen from any other IBO.
What is it about Jen that makes her so credible to you QBlog?
If she has built the business up to Ruby, and is not involved in any way with the AQMO's, then hey, good for her.
I do not believe that is possible, unless I have seriously missed something.
Which is not at all beyond the realm of possibility ;0)
Bruces posts looks word for word what most other IBO's post in regards to negative quxtar websites. I swear I have seen that same post on every anti-quixtar site.
????????????????? Bueller?? - Errr - I put the IBO speak in quotations - then I respond - my formatting probably isn't the best - I'll have to work on that. HTH
For the record - I've been "retired" from AmQuix since 1998
Stop with the attacks on Jen, please. Nobody here has a right to call her a liar without any proof. I'm sure there are plenty of IBOs out there who are not plugged into the system and have a level of success. The only stories you ever hear about in Quixtar are the corrupt kingpins bilking people out of their money with tools, but that does not mean everyone does it. You are allowing the perception to become the reality. It's no different than if you were to watch the nightly news and conclude that the only thing that ever happens in America is violence and celebrity divorces.
My point is, this blog should be a place where people respect differences of opinion and can write in a civilized manner. Thank you.
well said Waymee,
And besides, didn't Jen say: "I fully believe in the value of WWG", which to me means she is plugged into the system? So she is plugged in, gets mentoring from her Diamond cause she is a dedicated buyer of his tools, so yes... I believe she could be a Ruby too. The question is then a matter of a profitable Ruby from Quixtar? Or is she profitable as a Ruby who is making money from tools and using Quixtar to bring more people to the tools business?
Not beating you up Jen.... those are my standard questions for anyone.
Roger
Well written, Waymee.
If Jen states that she's a Ruby then so be it...
If Jen said she have legs, well, I really most sincerly hope she does. I wish she has not broken any of them, silver or gold or wooden.
And I wish you all healthy, unbroken legs.
Who called Jen a liar--can't seem to find that post by anyone.
Or is this Jen making a martyr out of herself in order to get sympathy?
Either way, it worked! Congrats Jen!
"XS!! - It's the Sweet Shot of the new Millennium!!
Yeah? But I'll be it won't light the persons hair on fire who's thanding below you at FED when you spray it into a lighted Bic lighter.
Hee hee
To Disenchanted,
Please do repeat the WHOLE statement.
If the prospect said 'no' 6 times (twice each to biz builder, pro-sumer, client), you're to congrat him and shake his hand. Tell him he's one of the few people you met who got it all together. Then ask for referral. Then drop the message: sometime life situation change, would you mind if I call you in 6 months to see how you're doing?
Kinda hard to ask for referral and follow-up if yer burning the bridge.
It's also very bad biz because even if he chose not to be involved, you may prospect somebody else in the future who may know him. Burned that bridge and kiss those other prospects goodbye.
You always need to leave a good impression of yourself and the biz with everybody you meet. It's a small world.
My orig response was actually for IBO. I mentioned my pin level for them.
God's Golden Rule is: everybody is your neighbor and love your neighbor as you love yourself.
I broke this laws many time and made the commitment to no longer break it. (That's why I stop posting on the forum).
To IBO: obey the Golden Rule and don't worry about what other people say.
In building my biz, I'm not breaking God's laws nor man laws. My biz plan for new IBO is for me to build their volume. Once profitable, they can decide if they want to engage with tools. I personally guaranteed the tools--if any IBO quit, I'll refund all their tools cost. I have no problem standing before my Maker and be judged on my action. Don't care what anybody else say, you think you got the Power to judge me, be my guest and cast the stones. I'm completey comfortable with what I'm do.
Jen, that has got to be the most intelligent post I have ever seen out of an IBO. I listened to many, many tapes, and you post more intelligently than I have heard any diamond speak.
The part about not burning bridges and the follow up you describe is not like anything I have heard before from an IBO. If you are guaranteeing the "tools" and refunding to dissatisfied IBO's, good for you.
I hope you are a Ruby, and I hope you are someday in a position to effect positive change.
Good thing all IBO's are not like you, because we would be unable to have a whole lot of fun bugging people on this blog.
Jen of Arc,
You can post in the forum without doing what you said is wrong, can't you? Any way, your choice.
God said, "Thou shalt not sell Quxitar"
If Jen says she's a Ruby - then she's a Ruby.
I just have a hard time beliving that as I know from experience that one would not be allowed (you read right) to be a Ruby in any Yager group without being 100% on the system and moving acceptable tool volume within their group.
Since Britt and Yager are mirror images of each other - I have to believe the requirements would be the same.
If Jen truly is a Ruby sans tools - and I hope she is - she is much more of a threat to the big pins than this blog would be!
Spraying Sweet Shot onto an open flame - I had forgotten about that!
Well Bruce, she is doing tools, she has said as much more than once now. And she guarantees them. Something no one else seems to do, or is required to do.. Or at least the guarantees I've seen are pale compared to real guarantees.
And she's doing her god's work and following his laws... Dex would be proud of her.
Roger
Jen,
Just a quick question: Since you made reference to your Maker and your comfort with what you do, I need to know if you use the selling technique that encourages people to "dream" about all the things they can do with extra money? Do you use this technique on people that seem to be content in their present situation, putting them in a position to start coveting things that they do not have and don't necessarily need? The "dream " mentality offends me. The Bible also speaks to the practice of running after riches quite a bit.
I can't judge you, but I do use God's Word to guide and judge me. The obsession Quixtar has with money and possessions bothers me immensely. ANy thoughts?
I'll answer Roger's comment first:
I stated that I followed God's law in building my Quixtar biz. I didn't say building of said biz is doing God's work. If I obey God's law, I know I will not hurt anyone.
DW,
The Bible talk about us being fruitful, to make the best use of what is given to us, and then to share our blessings.
Sloth is one of the 7 deadly sins. Zeal is the virtue we need to extol. Of course, one must be on guard for lust, envy, greed, & pride when being zealous.
Using the Lord's name in vain is a sin (eg saying building the Quixtar biz is God's will is sinning).
The obsession in Quixtar is not with money & possessions. The obsession is with not letting money & possession be the obsession. And please don't tell me that people outside Quixtar are not obsess with money. If that were true, why are you even collecting a paycheck?
If you ask people what you would do with extra money and they'll respond by coveting things they don't need, that's their life, their dreams, their hopes/wishes. Are you saying that I'm am soliciting sinning by asking them about their needs/wants/wishes?
All of the prospects I asked what they would do with the extra money responded: get out of debt, stay home with family and give more to church/charity. Are you telling me that wanting to "be home with family and giving more to church/charity" is offending?
If you want to know how I build my biz, I build it by adding value to my clients & to my biz builders. If I do a good job, I'll receive. If I do a poor job, I'll get nothing.
Jen,
Wanting to spend more time with your family is not only a good thing, it is our reponsibilities as parents. I just don't see how a person can show the plan 3-5 times a week, attend the weekly open meeting, and leave the family for the monthly/quarterly "Leadership sessions"all while following a vocation, contributing to your church, and spiritual nurturing of your children. A parent would have to give something up to "build the business," and that thing would almost have to be time with your kids. If money is the issue in raising a family, I would rather see someone give up some purchases and focus on family time, rather than give up the precious time that you hope you can compensate for in the future, in the case that one day you strike it rich.
PS. I have much zeal in spending time with my family and in my vocation. As for sloth, well, there's no time for that. There's just too much to do, and that's ok. There are many different ways to help people discover the gifts God has given them. The wasy we help them find those gifts just don't include any monetary payback. Seeing others use their gifts is reward enough. I won't get rich in my vocation, but that isn't why I went into it. I'm not rich; I'm not poor, just provided for, and that's OK. I don't want to be led down the path of coveting.
Jen,
I feel that I need to apologize. I think I came across as a little 'holier than thou" in those last two posts. I just know that I've been presented the plan by someone who was big into getting a person into the "dream" mode--getting them to think of things that they always wished they'd had but didn't, making them suddenly "need" things that they didn't realize they "needed" before, all in hopes of getting them in the biz. I have no problem with that. (not that that is right...) Like you said, that's their decision. I have a problem with it when a person calls this their ministry. You never said that that's how you would classify your way of doing business. I jumped to conclusions. I apologize for being judmental.
The best teaching I had ever came across is the "Vertical Alignment" by WWDB. The Vertical Alignment is simply give priority (in time, effort, & money) in this order: Faith, Country, Spouse, Kids, Job, Pursuit, Self.
I don't see how one can go wrong with priority is given in this order.
As for your contention that one must sacrifice time with the family to build the quixtar biz, please. If someone go to night classes to increase his earning potential, you'll condemn them for "sacrificing family"? If someone must work overtime to pay the bills, are you condemning them for "sacrificing family"? If the mom have to go to work so the family can buy a house not in a dangerous neighborhood, are you condemning them for "sacrificing family"? And the husband going to bowling league/softball league/golfing--have you condemned for "sacrificing family"? And how about the mom going to Friday bridge/bingo/mahjong where "I have no husband on Friday" mentality rules--have you condemned them too?
There are many ways to build the quixtar biz, just as there are many ways to earn a living, just as there are many ways to be a professional.
I have a choice--I can spend 10 hours a week watching/reading television & newspaper or I can put that same time into something more productive. I can choose to go out kissing up to my boss or I can choose to go out to build a legacy for my family. We all have 24 hours in a day. And you're right, putting pursuit of money in front of Faith & family ain't very healthy. But neither is put job ahead of Faith & family healthy either.
And will a job really provide for you? Even after the company laid you off?? Will a job provide for the medical care of your love one? Your mom with leukemia? Your dad with bipolar? Will a job provide for your family if something should happen to you?
Jen,
Thanks for sharing the priority list from your sponsorship. That was helpful because I've discovered that our priorities are different. That's why Q wouldn't work out very well for me and my family. My priorities go like this:
1 FAITH in God
2 FAMILY Living out the faith in our family
3 VOCATION Providing for family through our vocations
I choose the word vocation (literally "calling") over job because the word job has a rather negative connotation withing the quixtar vocabulary for some reason. Having a vocation is something that I do not take for granted. When you have a vocation you enjoy, going to your "job" isn't bad, it's a blessing!
As for country, I am proud of the US and am thankful for all those who have fought for and continue to fight for our freedom. I am a conservative Republican and choose those candidates because I find that they are making the overall- God pleasing choices in leading our country. I would do the same if I were to move to another country if, in that country, I had the freedom to vote.
I cannot live my live based on the fear of "what if's". For me, living out the faith causes me to rely on God and His strenghth in times of struggle. Of course, that doesnot mean that we do not plan for the future, but my conscience does not allow me to work fast and furious for 6-12 years,(basically working two jobs at the same time)creating unbalance for me and my family so that in the case of disaster, we can totally rely on our riches to get us through. That's what faith in God and His gifts are all about.
As for legacy, that's being created now as we live the faith in our family and our kids see the choices we make. As we watch TV (Yes, we do choose to relax and watch TV) and should the content turn questionable, we recognize that, teach our kids discernment, and turn that show or video off. That is a critical thinking skill that they need to learn and exercise their entire life. We may not leave our kids a huge monetary inheritance so that they can be "free," we hope to teach them how to be content with what they have in their vocations and to serve God. In that is true freedom.
To be honest, thereare times when, after a long, event filled day, my husband and I will joke about, "So, now, just when would we fit in STP 3 times this week...?" Q doesn't meet a need for us, and that's OK. We are not lazy, losers, or unpatriotic (not that you said we were.) In the same way, our jobs and lifestyle may not work for you.
It all comes down to this: Where your treasure is, there your heart will also be.
"adding value to your clients and bizbuilders."
Does this mean that people are less valueable until they become involved in Quixtar?
Also, how is "pursuit" different from "job"? Pursuit sounds like a euphenism for ambition, greed,...it's really not too clear...
wwdb is the best and will allways be
Hey! I'm one of the first to respond - though I doubt I'll be as clever as some other posters here - but here goes
"Man get a life." - I had Life Cereal this morning, does that count?
"how about college these days? Thousands and thousands oh and then the hundreds and hundreds on books, then you get your 25K a year job that your sick of in a few years and thats only if you can find one that you went to school for. " - Yea, my doctor has those Time-Life Do-It-Yourself books in his office.
Do you think when Dex"educashun ain't nuthin" Yager had his stroke years back, that he wanted an loser educated Doctor, or self-taught?
Geez, those dumb Doctors, Nurses, researchers working to find cures/treatments for diseases, Lawyers, Accountants, Engineers, Computer Programmers, etc. just wasting their money on college. XS cures everything!
"The internet is really the bathroom wall of society that is why people google bomb." We'll get some writers yet in the biz. But since your "business" is Internet based, does that make you a janitor? Do you wash your hands after showing the plan?
" The only reason more people dont have negative about them online is because they have not done anytihng of significant enought o warrant it." Yawn... gee, I'm the first in my family to get a college degree, I served in the Air Force, I serve people through my church, but, crap, I drive a Pontiac Aztek - what a loser I am!
Still waiting for some IBO winner to tell us which above reproach diamond either has themself or has had one of their diamond kids currnetly serve in the Armed Forces, do a missions trip, build a Habitat for Humanity house, find a cure for AIDS, cancer, etc.
"Use common sense if you can find it and make your own decision on whats best for you." - Um, but if he/she decides the biz is not for them - they're a "loser", "insignificant", "need a life"
"What kind of belief do you get at work?" I don't go to work to get "belief". I make money there - how about you? Of course, my boss wouldn't call me a loser if I move on to another company and our friendship isn't based on how many tapes and functions I go to. Weird, huh?
"working there til 65-70, now thats belief ha haha" - That's about the age you'll get your 1000 pin. But hey, just showing up makes you a winner, even if you don't make a cent. If the dream is big enough...
"XS!! - It's the Sweet Shot of the new Millennium!!
