Blog Ads and Radio

Alright all you observant folks, here's the skinny. Google Ads are gone from the Home Page. Replacing them are something called "Blog Ads." What are Blog Ads? Well, Blogads is "a network of bloggers who accept advertising. Blog readers are hyper-literate, highly networked, influential and affluent."
Basically Blogads (or Blog Ads) allows advertisers to effectively connect to their target audience. And anyone can use them. If you have a blog, business or idea you want to advertise, then Blogads is for you. I decided to try it out after reading about them in Who Let The Blogs Out? by Biz Stone (stupid title, good book). If you'd like to advertise to thousands of people every week then maybe you should try Blogads.
No Profit
When I first integrated advertising on this blog I pledged that I would not profit from any of the revenue. Each advertising dollar goes to fund this site and pay for various maintenance costs and fees. If those costs are met, then any money beyond that will be donated to the EFF. I am an independent voice and my desire is to remain independent in both reality and perception.
Who Can Advertise?
With Blogads, pretty much anyone can advertise but I do get to approve or deny any ads. This is new to me so I don't have any real rules yet but I'm modeling it after the way newspapers handle ads. However, I won't allow ads for "gentleman's clubs" or "massage parlors."
So, give Blogads a try. Read their FAQ section to find out all the gory details.
Where's The Radio?
The QBlog Radio isn't gone, it's just moved. Due to reader feedback I decided to move the QBlog Radio to a separate page. It's now integrated into the "QBlog Radio" blog. You can reach it by clicking the "QBlog Radio" link in the QBlog Extras list. This will make it easier to listen to the song while browsing other sites. I may even expand the Radio and provide more songs. Give it a listen.
