name: AndrewA "condemnation" indeed.
date: October 13, 2004message: I think it's funny you claim "This site is neither an endorsement nor a condemnation of Quixtar," yet you design shirts that say things like "Got Scammed?" and promote them on your website to sell. If that isn't a condemnation of Quixtar, I don't know what is.
Comments
A perfect example of what happens when you ASSume!
Maybe you should sell shirts that say "I did the Quixtar Tool system and all I have left is this lousy tee shirt"
And I find it even funnier Fred Harteis' ads show up in the Google Ads on the right side of the page. Click Click Click.
Kaching for Qblog.
Eoghann,
Click away all you want, but it only stands to hurt Qblog more than help him, plus they don't charge the advertisers for the multiple clicks.
I would rather see QBlog's site stay around because it filters out many people for me who would have quit down the line very easily without discussing something with me because of what they read from a stranger on the internet who may or may not be misleading them with information.
This save me time, and for that I am thankful. :)
Ray,
Have you even visited the QBlog Shop? There's a T-Shirt that says virtually that exact same thing, word for word.
Next one of you will say, "Hey, I got a good idea. How bout selling an 'Edify This' thong!"
;o)
Chris, how does it 'hurt' QBlog?
Chris> Click away all you want, but it only stands to hurt Qblog more than help him, plus they don't charge the advertisers for the multiple clicks.
Imran> But if we ALL click :D
Chris> I would rather see QBlog's site stay around because ....
Imran>What else gonna happen? That you 'rather' see this site around? Too much tapes eh?
Chris>it filters out many people for me who would have quit down the line very easily without discussing something with me because of what they read from a stranger on the internet who may or may not be misleading them with information.
Imran> Well this site also filter out many naive ppl who would have scammed down the line very easily without discussing some thing with real business savvy ppl because of what they heard from a stranger on the mall who may or may not be misleading them with information. D'oh, last part should be misleading them deliberately or unknowingly.
Unless it's Marc or David Robinson ;) And Marc is currently drunk with XS.
Chris> This save me time, and for that I am thankful. :)
Imran> Yup, good for you. Many crawls around in the forum too to get the answers. Forum have many time many 'guests'. Mix it up with your positive as well. As they might be reading a person whom they relate to.
I'm an ex-Ibo who works at a hotel as a valet. I got into one car and immediately recognized the can of XS on the ground.
They had a big CD case, so I thought I would just check it out of curiosity. There were about 60 system cds in there, and nothing else. Not one music CD. It's amazing. I wonder how much that cost them.
I'm glad I got out before I got that pathetic. I didn't really like my upline lying to me and trying to force me to go to some huge rally that cost over a $100. When I said I wasn't going, there words were "No. You ARE going." A little scary. I had the typical bad Quixtar Experience. Now that I quit I'm able to save about $1000 dollars a month by working a real job and plan to open my own REAL business in about 2 years.
Hey QBlog, I have a good idea. How about selling an "edify this!" thong!

Mo, just out of curiosity, since you think I am scamming people knowingly, do you think the Marc and Davids success rates for people are higher than mine? Or do you think their model of teaching is more effective than mine? It sounds like you have high respect for them so I am just curious.
I like their way of teaching as well. But I have no way of telling if it is any more effective than my way. I mean, is there some sort of statistic that shows that the more an IBO invests into training, the more that IBO stands to fail? I haven't seen a statistic that shows that.
All I have seen is my personal experience that if an IBO invests into the training system, they are more likely to succeed that one who doesn't. But that doesn't mean they will succeed. I would add to that consistent mentorship for someone successful in the biz and consistent activity over a decent time frame. Like 2 years.

Imran + Mo + Negative> When did I EVER said you are scamming ppl? I can't say as I don't know you. All I said was that some naive ppl could be scammed (say by group like mine) if they do not read sites like this. And yes, you are the part of this site. That naive person may also read your comment and know better that rules of Quixtar exists and should be abided. Wasn't you putting words in my mouth now?? ;););) You fall in that category, may not be misleading. I hope I'm clear now.
Marc and David, they just feel real. I feel like I know them more than you. Thats all!
I'm client of Marc btw.
Mo, fair enough. I must have misread what you wrote. I thought you were suggesting that it was IBO's who were out contacting people with potential misinformation at malls. Being that I am an IBO who prospects people, I figured you were relating that towards me and other IBO's.
Glad to hear you are a client. You should let Rocket know, because he has never met a client of a distributor in his whole life. He will be amazed :)
Of course you know marc and david more than me. You have been chatting with them longer. Plus, I don't make any effort to solicit business online. I choose not to build my business that way. Personal preference.
Plus both marc and david are more relatable to you from what I can tell. For you they are a better match. They are both bloggers and easily accessible on the internet. They build the biz without much of the things you dislike about it. And so on.
No problems here. I am all for them building their biz the way they do. Go for it!
Foul. Low Blow. I had come to expect so much more from you than that Chris. My hopes have been shattered.
"Plus, I don't make any effort to solicit business online. I choose not to build my business that way. Personal preference."
The implication is that David and Marc DO build their business that way. No idea what the hell Marc does (and I don't really care for the guy myself) but I am offended that you would make such an implication about David R. You sir, have just dropped precipitously in my estimation of your character. And at a fellow IBO at that. Is this the classic tool IBO mentaility? Sure looks that way.
Thanks for showing your true colors punk.
I don't solicit people online...they solicit me.
That's what TRUE community building is.
It's not throwing mud on the wall.
I like to think more people relate to me, because I am just more relatable.
I feel honored that QBlog would come to my defense in this case.
In case you didn't notice, he's anti-Quixtar, anti-MLM and he's defending a Quixtar IBO.
Nope, it's not even that. He's defending a friend.
That sums up my success online, my effectiveness, in a nutshell.
And it also sums up his effectiveness at community building, as well.
This blog is not a filter, in my mind. Filters exclude. This blog brings together a diverse group of people. People that disagree, debate and yet communicate with class and style.
They said:

I say;
I thought Rocket said the only people buying it were people that were in it? Imran was in... and I remember him saying at one point he only bought a certain thing.... Mo, want to elaborate? But had he not been in, he certainly wouldn;t have been buying it?
Well to set the record straight our use of products dropped significantly after we left Quixtar. There is one item of artistry I guess that my family still use. My ex-sponsor gave me IBO price but there are few drawbacks. I don't want to pay shipping for just on item, so i have to go to his house to pick it up. But that trip is guilt associated, i.e. first he asked me to come to FED or some other guilt thing, e.g. blaming me for not succeeding etc. Now situation is quite tense after 'shocking discovery' of my blog.
So yeah one item. I plan to buy couple of vitamins. Just happen to surf through Pharmacy today and all sort of vitamins were there, Vitamin C, D, E, multivitamin, chewable kids vitamins, protein bars, and shakes, all cheaper than Quixtar. Well, MUCH cheaper, 5-15 $ range, same dosage. And Canadian laws for selling vitamins are pretty strict so they must be fine. I'd rather by Centrum for my father than daily....hassle to pay shipping and CC transfer….yuck.
I had my eyes on protein shake in Quixtar, I found a cheaper one outside. Quixtar one: 60 without GST / PST/ shipping. bucks, mine: $19.39 including GST / PST.
Even artistry, we have some system left, so if say one item finishes, it’s cheaper to replace that one instead of replacing whole system.
How the arguments become an insult to IBOs by a critic...here is the original comment:
Chris>it filters out many people for me who would have quit down the line very easily without discussing something with me because of what they read from a stranger on the internet who may or may not be misleading them with information.
Imran> Well this site also filter out many naive ppl who would have scammed down the line very easily without discussing some thing with real business savvy ppl because of what they heard from a stranger on the mall who may or may not be misleading them with information. Point I was making: They said critic is a stranger who may or may not mislead prospects and IBOs. My point was, so can IBO!!! Many cases, he is also a STRANGER. That's ALL.
OTH, what is critic to gain?
To set some more records straight, I never chatted with David Robinson, hardly exhanged few posts HERE. I have spoken much less to Marc than with the dude-on-paid vacation, Chris. Yet they feel more real to me. It's not “system” or Blogger thingy, its some thing else which I am unable to put in words.
This is hilarious!!!! Got scammed is an English sentence, NO MENTION of Quixtar, and Mr. Andrew thinks its condemnation of Quixtar, LOL.
I explained it for other intelligent folks out there :D
