Bad Day For Dems

By QBlog in

It looks like the QBlog Forum Poll was correct after all. All indications are that Bush will remain President and Kerry will continue to do whatever Kerry does. The Democrats also lost seats in the House and apparantly a Senate seat or two. If you're a Democrat, then I wonder if you're getting the message.

That debt and giving tax cuts to send jobs overseas is OK? Yeah, I'm getting the message.

Well if you Americans are happy to be ruled by a Bush and a Dick :o)

Don't forget the Colon ;-)

I thought it was the Quixtar defenders that resorted to calling names....
silly me

How clever. Did you come up with that all by your lonesome.
The fact is the Dems got trounced and Americans have chosen. And the fact is that deep down, all Canadians are jealous of the U.S. and wish that they could have been born here.

Name calling?? Isn't it their names? :o)

And what about that humor statement that a guy has no sense of humor who can't laugh on himself etc.?

Canadians are jealous :0) Now that is a real good one. We eat blubber and live in Igloo. Oh wait, just got a parking ticket on my sledge. Damn.

Imran, why does your emoticon have a big nose when you speak of Canadiens???

its from jealousy .... or cold. ;)

Imran, you're a Newfie aren't you? C'mon, admit it you Newfie.

;o)

Imran:

I think Canada is very cold becuase it always is in the shadows of the USA.

Maybe you should go buy a Roots coat!

Hey DF, look at the globe, we are bigger, and we are on top. :o)

Qblog, all (admittedly) bad humor aside the American people have made a decision, even though I am not in agreement with it, I am glad that the system worked. It is not like in 2000 when the popular vote went one way and the president another, he won both votes and should be declared winner. I am not happy with it, but that is how it is. I just hope our economy, military, and nerves can take 4 more years.

Imran, your country is bigger, but we have more people. (grin)

Ok all the joking aside, it was a real gloomy situation at work and at home. Some of my colleagues (even senior staff) had said many times, "I just can not believe those Americans, the will elect Bush again, Bush?"

Another one said, (a statement being made many times here) how could one elect bush? He can't even say a proper sentence. And what he is going to do now? He is a big war-fan.

A colleague of mine said we all should go to shopping as bush with all the right wrong is about to destroy the world real soon so why save? Ok he made a joke.

But then we all agree that a normal American is stupid so for them Bush is normal.

My cat is happy though. He (Sir Nathan Wallace) happens to be excited about all world destruction plans.

This goes beyond the presidency.

The Dems lost 3 senate seats and 4 house seats. The house seats lost include thier leader (Dashell, from North Dakota). Plus, the Republicans gained Governorships and state Houses and Senates. And Wisconsin is looking over their votes in the hopes of going republican.

What it tells me is this: The Dems are lost, they don't know what to do, and they're on the retreat on all fronts. And this, when the difference was only 3%. Things were better when Reagan was "trouncing" at 55% of the popular vote.
