Obey The Rules

By QBlog in

If you're a Quixtar IBO I'm sure that you're already obeying their rules. However, I would like to highlight a couple of Frequently Asked Questions (and their answers) available from the Quixtar Web site. I've added my own comments in italics.
  1. Does an IBO have to buy tools (business support materials)?
No, business support materials -- often referred to as "tools" -- are optional. Success in the Quixtar business is based on desire and the willingness to work. The support available through a system has proven to be a great help for many in building an independent business.

This seems to indicate that signing the BSMAA is also optional. Do you know any active IBOs, in good standing, who have not signed the highly suspicious BSMAA? Do you know any IBOs who've quit the business when they discovered the real facts about the BSMAA?

  2. If an IBO sells tools, do they have to buy them back if the purchasing IBO requests a refund?
Yes. If an IBO requests a refund within 180 days of the day of purchase, the IBO who sold them the tools must repurchase such tools on commercially reasonable terms (see Rule 7.6 in the IBO Rules of Conduct).

I'd guess that this would include function tickets but apparently not.

  3. What is the 70% Rule?
The 70% Rule states that in any given month, an IBO must sell at least 70% of the volume they purchased to Members, Clients, or downline IBOs in order to earn a Performance Bonus. This Rule is not intended to encourage IBOs to inventory 30% of the products they purchase, but rather its purpose is to encourage the continued movement of product and to discourage inventory loading.

As I read this, 70% of whatever an IBO purchases MUST be sold to Members, Clients, or downline IBOs or no performance bonus is given. However, Orrin Woodward (a prominent Quixtar leader) has said that "The Seventy Percent Rule does not mean that 70% of products must be moved to Members and/or Clients." Maybe "moved" and "sold" mean two different things?

  4. May a sponsor just do nothing?
No. Every IBO has the responsibility, under Quixtar's rules, to supply, train, and motivate his or her personally sponsored IBOs. This responsibility does not extend to those sponsored in depth, unless the sponsor is a Platinum IBO. Under the rules, Platinum IBOs have the overall responsibility to make sure that every IBO in their personal group is supplied, trained, and motivated. For added clarification, you may wish to contact your upline, or review section 5 of the IBO Rules of Conduct.

So an IBO is required to supply (give materials?), train and motivate his personally sponsored IBOs. They must do this for free. If an IBO doesn't want to buy tools, it seems like his personal sponsor must still give him the same training and support, for free. The Platinum in that group takes on this overall responsibility. Since tools are optional and no mention of money is made, then free training is a requirement in Quixtar... right?

If you're following the rules of Quixtar then I applaud your efforts. I think many IBOs aren't fully aware of all the Quixtar rules and the result is confusion and sometimes frustration. It's always important to know all the details of your business.

This has been a QSA (Quixtar Service Announcement) brought to you by your friendly neighborhood QBlog.

Thanks for applauding our efforts!

Not to you Dan, since I don't know you but......EVERY ibo says "Our team is THE fastest and best, if you had a bad experience, you must be in a wrong group" This line was taught to us in quest.

Now I can guess what will you say, "Our group don't do that".

Dan, I agree. It looks like QBlog is applauding IBO's like you and I that are part of organizations that make it a priority to do their best when it comes to following the rules.

QBlog, I too thank you for applauding us IBO's that are working to follow the rules correctly.

If only there were more like you.

There are QBlog. Just because they don't post on this blog, doesn't mean they don't exist.

So Chris, there are Diamondships who follow all these rules? Can you name a few? Where tools are truly optional and pins are based on volumes, not tools movements.

In fact, what Diamond organization doesn't follow these rules? Are you saying that you know of a current Diamond organization that...

1) Clearly says that "tools are NOT optional" but instead they are "mandatory" in order to be an IBO?

2) A diamond organization that won't offer a refund to an IBO in their organization under the guidelines mentioned above? Do you have a provable example of an IBO who did not get a refund they were entitled to under the rules. Or better yet, can you name a current diamond organization that clearly says they will not honor the guidelines in the rules?

3) A Diamond who does not personally honor the 70% rule, and who teaches their team that they do not need to honor that rule?

4) A Diamond that clearly states that you don't need to do anything for the IBO that you sponsor personally, and that as a Platinum you are NOT responsible for the training and motivation of your team.

So are you saying that there are Diamond organizations that directly go against these 4 rules stated above? And are you suggesting that it is so rare that you would need me to name one in order for you to believe it?

I think it would be harder to find a Diamond that runs an organization that teaches against these 4 rules.

I think the only rule I could imagine would be tough to teach would be the 4th rule mentioned. I do not think this is clear enough exactly what the sponsor and Platinum's role are when dealing with their team.

I think that QBlog raises some decent questions, and I am going to look into this myself. If I am able to get some clarification, I will share it with you guys ok.

> Chris, I am serious. I am not commenting to get a laugh. And I’m not a blog troll. First of, almost no body doing an illegal activity say they are doing illegal thing. Well that goes with every thing. We, humans justify our actions. That organization said “Tools are optional, so is success”. “You can NEVER succeed without tools”, “We help you by providing tools, its up to you to take this help” And on and on. There are very few org. that do not push tool. I’ll explain below. Pins based on volume: What is eagle structure? Product volume, not much. Number of ppl on SOT, Seminar, yeah! So is double eagle, ultimate eagle all based on tools volume. So this has to do with this post as there is a huge incentive to move tools.

> A thief don’t say they steal coz they r bad, they blame on society. They did not say it to prospects but an old IBO would hear a lot how necessary they are. “Tools are optional but so is success” was mantra in opens and quest. Tools were pushed. Push and purchase, big difference. Push: My upline Ahmer Azam, (Diamond Vishal to Kumar to Kanti Gala), sent us tapes + CDs. $60- 70 / month was a must. I told him many times tapes are obsolete and useless for me, just CDs. He said no, not possible. How hard that could be?
Purchase vs. Push
“Purchase”, I’ll get to pick the tools myself. I’m a techie and I know importance of tools. BUT no one send me tools which I never seen before. I research, pick what I need according to MY needs.
Push: it was told all the time “No one built this business without tools”. Justifying the tool scam. Chris, some tapes are good, alas, I was not the one to pick them. 6 tapes a month, 2 some crappy rallies on tapes which I won’t hear again, two in heavy southern accent which I can’t understand and one a bit better CD and one CD on some religious topic. I would rather spent $6 instead of $40.

> Again, not directly, but I am still unable to return a single tape. Diamond: Vishal Jayne. Platinum: Ahmer Azam. TOD seminar tickets are not refundable. Also, IBOs who quit are kinda running away from their uplines when so majority don’t even ask for return in fear of being sucked back in. YUCK! Is that a way to do business?
Chris Wrote: 3) A Diamond who does not personally honor the 70% rule, and who teaches their team that they do not need to honor that rule?
> Ha! I can type all night. First they gotta teach their team there is a 70% rule! They can sure teach Quixtianity. Buy for yourself, teach others to do. I have heard diamonds from Vishal, Kanti Gala, Sugeet Ajmani, Shivaram Kumar, Charlie Durso, Joe Markowich, Ron Puryer, and God knows how many. ALL promoted self consumption. Buy for yourself, teach others to do the same. That line got me sponsored. As a diamond its is THEIR responsibility to educate the team about 70% rule. None of them mentioned that rule EVER. I learned that rule in this blog year after I quit. Go figure.
Chris Wrote: 4) A Diamond that clearly states that you don't need to do anything for the IBO that you sponsor personally, and that as a Platinum you are NOT responsible for the training and motivation of your team.
> My upline, Ahmer Azam, clearly said “The only thing I asked from my upline was to give me their IBO number. Rest I will do this business myself. You should do the same”. He did help me, by selling me crap. I would be much better off if I had no upline, no one selling me tapes. I may not have made money, but won’t be losing money. That’s why I call it a scam. Crime of deception.
Chris Wrote> So are you saying that there are Diamond organizations that directly go against these 4 rules stated above? And are you suggesting that it is so rare that you would need me to name one in order for you to believe it?
> Yes.
Chris Wrote>I think it would be harder to find a Diamond that runs an organization that teaches against these 4 rules.
> Chris, what planet are you from  Australia? Ok it was a joke. But I have seen violation, sent complain to Quixtar only to find out there are ton loads of complaints and Quixtar will not do a jack about them.
And yes I am serious. I have no reason to lie. I did not succeed in body building, end up injuring my self. But I am not –ve about it. Point is, I had a bad experience and saw many being deceived. I don’t love to make fun of IBOs. I don’t like ppl being scammed. That’s all. I’ll be vocal about it as long as I can and this scam exists. If Quixtar enforces its rule properly, I’ll be the first one to recommend it to other ppl.

By they way, Quixtar has cancelled Diamond ship and CAMships for tool frauds. I hope they do some in Gala LOS too. Amway paid $25 M in Canada for Tax fraud. Need names?

Mo,

Thanks for taking the time to go into detail on your post.

I really appreciate it :)

Your experience was much different than mine, and so it is hard for me to relate, but I am sorry that you had to experience what you did.

You wrote: "If Quixtar enforces its rule properly, I’ll be the first one to recommend it to other ppl."

As an IBO, I can let you know that I will be doing my personal best to follow the rules and conduct, and I hope in the near future the day comes where you see Quixtar at a level where you think they are doing a good job at following the rules.

Once again, thanks for taking the time to share your experience in this area.

I have to admit that in the beginning when I first started my quixtar business that I wasn't big on purchasing tapes and cd's and I didn't. My sponsor met me at my level and didn't tell me I HAD to purchase anything. He knows I would have told him to go to ----! as I have a strong personality. But when I did listen to the free CD's and tapes and books that he gave me I began to understand the value of them all. This business is not for everyone, but it is for me. I am believer in the compensation end because I am making pretty good money doing this sparetime, I am a believer in the customer service I receive from quixtar on products and I believe in the people who drive from NJ and VA to help me build the business in PA. Note: All tapes, cds, books, functions are all tax write offs anyway so you don't lose anything. I amazes me that people fret over the cost of tools of the business but have no problem over kids purchasing $15 CD's from artists/musicians with no class or moral standards and obtain ZERO value except how to lower their moral standards for the most part.

Jeff,

You are justifying the cost of 'system tools'(CD's) by comparing it with music CD's out in the market which make no sense.

My question is this, if Amway business is so good, you won't be needing motivational tools to keep IBO stop from quiting.

Pigs don't know Pigs Stink. If you want to be sucessful be with the people who are going somewhere. A loser always criticises the opportunity while a winner gets over the process and gets the job done !! You decide what you are :-)

There are a lot of arguments on this page. Some of you actually undersand the value of an educational system that helps you get to the destination you desire by providing the necessary books, tapes and associations. Consider this: You go to college. Books are optional. Going to class is optional (also can be had on CDs). Associating with classmates on homework projects to get them completed--also optional. You may not necessarily love every step, but you understand that it is an investment to achieve your degree plan. The quixtar business is similar. Moving products and services provides a business basic. Keeping it moving--you have to have some knowledge to do so. Taking an exam is a schoolactic basic. Going to class, reading the textbook, and associating with classmates on the classwork is neccessary to learn how to answer questions on your exams more precisly. Guys it is not a hard process. It is not all fun either. It is a means to help you grow your business. Without educating yourself on all aspects of how to grow this business, you will have difficulty making it work. Similarly, if you don't educate yourself on all aspects of a school subject, you will have difficulty getting good grades. Some time back, I would have been arguing against CDs and books just like most of you are. I've been GIVEN around 100 tapes and CDs. It wasn't until I put my ego aside and listened to them with the intent to learn did I understand the value of them. I hope none of you out there are as hard-headed as I have been. I have long since gotten on the SOT (Standing Order Tape) program. Note: I did not get on to the program under upline pressure. I wanted to learn how to grow my business, and I understood the value in the books and CDs. SOT is not for people who want to "find their own way"--I've done that and it failed to generate results. SOT is for people whom understand that they really don't know how this business works and the real way to find out is to get into the education system, just like in school. I have had much greater returns since I have made the committment to myself to take the SOT program as an education system. You can say all the garbage you want but the point is still the same: Not going to class, not reading the book, not associating with classmates on school projects will give you the result of you wasting your time and tuition and receive no degree for it. Same point for the quixtar or any business. My upline has a lot of faith in me and is always encouraging me to grow. I pray that one day you are blessed with someone willing to put their heart and soul into you so that one day you will have a better foundation for your personal family.

You're a joke!... I think one person mentioned it that just because you had a bad experience, doesnt justify you taking a stab at the entire organization. I guarantee that if you had entered my line of sponsorship you would feel completely different and would probably be so financially free that youd most likely be on vacation somewhere... not posting blogs and lamenting about how horrible you thing something is just because it didnt work out for YOU! The Durso-Pappalardo is growing so quickly and successfully that your "one voice" would be completely muffled by the sounds of roaring platinums, emeralds and rubys we have broken just in the last year! Give it up, your blogs are not to be taken seriously because your just some guy who tried and failed and now is bitter. THESE ENTRIES ARE NOT TO BE USED INFORMATIONAL RESEARCH. IF YOU SEEK A CREDIBLE RELIABLE SOURCE FIND A SITE BACKED BY THE FTC, BBB, OR ANY OF QUIXTAR'S PARTNER COMPANIES... not just some random guy who is simply trying to justify his existance in a post failure mental breakdown!

Most of the so called Platinums,Emeralds, Diamonds achieve their pin level by stocking up products and making their people also do so. They will have 600 PV/1000 PV/Eagle clubs/Silver leadership and promote people to qualify by stocking up products. They do it by so called being part of inner circle.
