Back to Quixtar
By QBlog in
Guess what! I'm becoming a Quixtar Member. Well, actually my wife is becoming a Quixtar Member but I may add myself as a partner member just for the hell of it.
The Reason
You see, dear readers, my beautiful wife simply loves the Quixtar skin care products and she hasn't found anything that works as well since leaving "the biz." However, she avoided Quixtar membership fearing that the fuss surrounding this blog would preclude her from membership.
But the reality is that Quixtar is a business and businesses exist to sell products and I happened to know one IBO who was more than willing to help my wife buy Quixtar products. And as soon as I complete the registration process (we have to find her old IBO number) my wife (and maybe me too) will once again be affiliated with Quixtar.
I'll post an update once the registration is officially complete.
UPDATE: Registration complete. My wife is now a Quixtar Member. I decided not to be added as a partner member because I don't really see the point. If I do want some product (however unlikely that may be), my wife can just order it for me.
I must say, the registration process was pretty simple (once we found her IBO number) and I read the Member Terms and Conditions and there was no BSMAA (hooray) and no Rules of Conduct. So, our family is back with Quixtar in some fashion. Hooray for Quixtar.
Comments
I ask my ex-sponsor to give me two products that I could not find an equivalant of.....Glister Toothpaste and Fuel Freedom. I asked him for IBO price, cheaper sometimes than member, and I'm not signed as member or client.
Drawback, had to pick up from their place.
Crest has some new toothpastes available that are just as good if not better than glister in my opinion.....just a thought
I switched to Clinique, and like it just as well as the Artistry stuff. Our IBO-ship is up for renewal next month, and I'll suggest to DH that we switch to being a member. There are a couple of items Quixtar carries that we can't find elsewhere. Our sponsor needs sales, after all. ;-)
Howdy QBlog,
Welcome back into the fold! :::evil grin:::
And yeah, sure there are other brands cheaper than Artistry, but the true concept of "branding" is to develop a loyalty to a particular product, notwithstanding price.
Nothing wrong with desiring a particular brand over another, be it an MLM product or otherwise.
Coke may have a sale at Winn-Dixie(non-Southerners read "grocery store"), but to the die-hard Pepsi Drinker, price is not a factor. The Pepsi purchaser buys the Pepsi.
And I hope your readers understand that simply because Mrs. QBLog likes Artistry over Revlon, does not mean any thing other than she simply likes Artistry over Revlon.

Hey Qblog can you become a member in someone elses line of sponsorship than your original upline if you were a Ibo this last year?.I might try to keep my life insurance thru Quixtar as a member but do not want to be a part of my past uplines business.
Why doesn't your wife paddle the canoe for MaryKay??? At least they are known for a commodity and not tools.....
I too joined as a Quixtar member after my IBOship expired.
But I'm bothered that my old upline is getting commissions off my purchases. And they're not doing anything for these sales. They didn't even originally recruit me. Does this bother anyone else?
Another thing that bothers me is that my upline (and they're the nosy type) can see what I'm ordering. I know because they used to comment on my purchases before.
Is it possible to order products directly through the corporation? I'm pretty sure it's not possible, but I just thought I'd ask in case someone knows something.
On the other hand, I like some of the products and don't want to give them up.

Ambivalent,
I am pretty sure that you can choose an option when you register where upline IBO's cannot see your information, like product purchases. I remember seeing that option in the past but I am not sure where it is right now. You might just call the corporation.
Chris,
Thanks for the info. about making my account private. For others, in order for the person that you're ordering from not to see your purchases, you need to call Quixtar and ask to have your account be private. I don't know who this would apply to, but I just did it because I didn't like the comments I was getting from the Quixtar IBO.

is there a toothpaste like glister that is like at wal-mart or something? the reason is i find it kinda stupid to pay $10 for 1 tube of toothpaste. my mouth swells up with regular toothpastes like crest and aquafresh and etc.
e-mail me if anyone knows

My son joined a few yrs back to make a few extra dollars to pay off his student loans. I begged him not to after reading some blogs but he went ahead. I don't even want to know how much they ripped him off for! We don't mention it, I know he's sorry. It breaks my heart to think they get rich taking advantage of young hard-working people.
Comparable products are out there, try lancome and even revlon....I too was "addicted" to the skin care...after many dollars spent, some wasted...I finally found a CHEAPER skin care line that is comprised of a couple of different brands..Nivea is also good....and again still cheaper and you can have it the day you pay for it no annual fee!!!!
