Who Owns Quixtar?

By QBlog in

I was reading an OLD post from the (now stagnant) MLM Whatever Blog that asked if anyone knew who owns Quixtar? This is actually something I've wondered for a while myself. Maybe it's as simple as saying that it's owned by Alticor? I don't know. Is there any documentation that clearly demonstrates who owns Quixtar? Forgive my ignorance here. Any help is appreciated.

Quixtar's website says that it's owned by Alticor. They claim to be a 'sister' company of Amway. I always love the way that IBO's say that (almost as a way of deflecting the 'nasty' A - word).

Yes, Quixtar is owned by Alticor, which besides Quixtar, and Amway, also owns the Access Business Group. Alticor (then only Amway) was founded by Rich DeVos and Jay Van Andel in 1959, and is still owned by their families to this day. They are listed on the Fortune 500 list of Americas richest people. Their company has also won many awards, particularly in the area of environmental protection.

Im sorry I abandoned my blog but i am going to make efforts to update it and keep it current again, thank you for stopping by though.....much appreciated

Thats a hard queston. The founders Rich and Jay formed a few public "companies" such as Amway Asia which is publically traded. I heard this was to offset the Inheritance tax that will be assesed when they die. They also have a company that sets up warehouse processing equipment and consulting.

So there are a few stocks out there for parts of AMWAY/ Quixtar. I think Alticor is owned by Richa and Jay still.

I dont know if any1 knows this but Rich owns the Orlando Magic.

like you didn't know q-blog! You just posted that to start up crap.

I guess a better question would be:

"Who is responsible for the actions of IBO's?"

I'm sure a lot of people would like an answer to that.

But that's just me:)

Ditto Scott!! Whatever you do, don't say Amway. I heard that from upline at times. Seriously, I thought that Alticor owned Quixtar.
