Qrush-ing the Quixtar Critics

By QBlog in Web Initiative

There's a new blog on the Web and I absolutely love it. It's called QRush The Quixtar Critics (pronounced Crush) and its author is a self-described cross between Rush Limbaugh and Rich DeVos on a mission to "expose the left wing conspiracy plot to overthrow the Quixtar business." And guess what? According to QRush, yours truly is part of that liberal conspiracy plot. Wow!

Why do I love this blog so much? Well, probably because it's honest and raw. It pulls no punches and says what is probably on the minds of a lot of IBOs. It defines the debate in quasi-political terms — as conservatives against liberals, free enterprise lovers taking on commie traitors. QRush adeptly constructs the "us versus them" scenario and is off to a bombastic start. My only criticism is the blog's lack of comments. I think enabling comments would add another dimension to this polarizing discussion.

QRush and I may disagree on some things but I admire him/her for being candid. The first post asks "Why me?" and concludes with "Ok, I accept. Let's go." I can relate to those sentiments with my Quixtar BLOG. Those "why me?" questions plague me. And yet I continue, driven my some hidden instinct to keep on demanding answers, sharing my perspectives and searching for the truth about Quixtar.

I can relate to the anger evident in QRush's posts. The desire to lash out and attack those perceived enemies. That's very real and I respect that. I understand how genuine this blog is and for that reason, I am thrilled by its existence.

I also realize that QRush's blog is partly constructed as an attack on me (and this blog) and some assumptions are made about me and my motives. I try to avoid assumptions and will only reply by saying that when one makes assumptions about me, one is often wrong.

And for the record, I have no loyalty to anyone in this Quixtar conversation. Unlike some, I'm not trying to "save" anyone from anything. I don't want to see the destruction of Quixtar and I certainly don't want any IBOs to fail at their business. I'm simply searching for the truth about Quixtar and its related businesses. Some view that search as an attack and nothing I say will convince them otherwise.

Anyway, go check out QRush The Quixtar Critics. Love it or hate it, I think you'll agree that it's the "real deal."

A Request: If you love QRush's blog and want to leave comments about it, you may do so here but please send QRush an email requesting the same type of access on his/her blog that you receive here.

I think QRush is making the same mistake in ovre-personalizing criticisms of the Quixtar business and AQMO's. I do not attack the hard working people that believe Quixtar is a way for them to get ahead. They, more than likely, have made their decision to work Quixtar based on the available information that they were provided. My criticism is toward those decision-makers that run the company and the "leaders" of the various AQMOs that spin the dogma that appears evident in posts of the QRush variety. Given that the comment field is disabled suggests that this person is not really seeking dialog to present any convincing argument for their opinion. It could be that they just haven't finished tweaking their blog. I remember that comments enabled are the defaulted selection and one would have to seek to remove this feature. My hunch is that this person is probably not the average, hard-working IBO struggling to make sense of a business that is designed to be unintelligible. Call me cynical but I would almost bet this is someone more entrenched in the "system" with something larger at stake and seeks an outlet to vent which they cannot do through a "proper" Quixtar blog. Just my thoughts.

Hey, I just realized QRush is using the same blogger template as me.

I agree with Dave S. I wonder if after looking at the content thusfar from Qrush, if anyone else senses the fear that I did from the author.

By the way, I also think that it is unwise for Qblog to categorize all who are not pro-quixtar as liberals. I am quite conservative in my beliefs and political affiliation. As a Conservative Christian, I think that the intelligence to spot questionable business ethics is a gift from God and unfortunately, I've yet to run into an IBO who in my mind posesses that gift.

I wonder how Qrush explains my take on Quixtar. I am a card carrying conservative republican who has not voted for a commie liberal (Kerry?) in his life. = )

Also curious: Why does he want information on the "aforementioned individuals"? Is this really that important to his cause?Interesting indeed.

I did not characterize it in those terms Jason, QRush did. I merely stated what was done on the QRush blog. How are you misunderstanding that? Is it unclear? If so, how is it unclear?

My oversight and typo. I had ment to type Qrush in that paragraph and not Qblog. Thanks for the quick observation. Maybe there is something to be said for intelligent typing!

to restate:

By the way, I also think that it is unwise for Qrush to categorize all who are not pro-quixtar as liberals. I am quite conservative in my beliefs and political affiliation. As a Conservative Christian, I think that the intelligence to spot questionable business ethics is a gift from God and unfortunately, I've yet to run into an IBO who in my mind posesses that gift.

Well, I'm pro-Quixtar/anti-AMO, a commie liberal and I hate most things associated with Rush Limbaugh, except Spatula City.

But you got to give "props" to Qrush for at least having some style. I don't notice fear in his voice, but I do notice that he already has his "voice".

And that makes him a force to be reckoned with among the Anti-AMO Blogs out there.

He's coming at ya at full bore, loaded for bear, and all those other expressions.

I'm sure he will add a comments section. And expect "Mega-Dittoes" in the section, when he does. But probably not from me. : )

A lot of talk by Qrush, but no substantiating data.

I can only hope . . . . . .

I really hope s/he gets comments on. And I'd love if s/he puts a forum there.

How can everyone who hates Quixtar/Amway be commie liberals? Most commie liberals won't get involved with Quixtar or any other MLM. Only people who firmly believe in free enterprise and will even consider starting their own MLM business...USUALLY that means you are a conservative.

While I respect what Qrush has to say, I think his idea of a liberal conspiracy against Quixtar has as much validity as Hillary's claims of a "vast right wing conspiracy" working against Bubba...er, Bill. :)

The people who hate Quixtar do so because they feel they were lied to, mislead, and/or cheated...and in most cases they were.

I went to his site, I wonder if he will allow us to post?
If Qrush is reading these posts let it be known that ex-dd is a conservative.
After reading your site, you should learn the difference between Quixtar and the "system"
If you took the time to read these posts on the forum and Scott Larsen's, you would see the complaints stem that the "system" is the pyramid. What most people have a beef about is that Quixtar supports these pyramids by endoring the leaders.
Since you are a cross between Rich Devos and Rush..You should at least know half the truth that Rich Devos was trying to get out in the tapes "directly Speaking"

I love it!
Just like Limbaugh, QRUSH is lude, crude and rude! But he also is RIGHT!

Hey Brenda,

If he is like Rush and Rich Devos then why does'nt he list details and stats like Rush, which amquix site is full of...

If he is like Rich Devos, why does'nt he wave riches flag and fight against what Rich did in his tapes "Directly Speaking"?

WAKE UP BRENDA: RICH WAS AGAINST THE TOOL/MEETING SYSTEM THAT DEX AND BRITT HAVE BUILT....
He was the founder......listen to the tapes

>My only criticism is the blog's lack of comments.

He's not going to add a comments section, because he knows his blog will be qrushed by commie liberal devil-worshipping quixtar-hating extremists.

All style, no substance so far. Jennifer is right. First and foremost, Quixtar is a business and while not everyone who does Quixtar is supposedely in it to make money, the IRS will tell you if you treat Quixtar tax-wise as a business, your intent better be to profit!

And while I don't sense fear in his voice, there certainly arrogance, self rightousness and ignorance, which to me says s/he is probably young, impressionable, and deep down inside very insecure about Quixtar. So much so s/he has to lash out and do or say anything he can to first and foremost convince himself he is right. Of course, I could be completely wrong as I'm no psychologist and I've never stayed in a Holiday Inn Express ever!

Last and not least, I'd like to echo other statements here that Qrush has made a big mistake polarizing all those against Quixtar as commie liberals. I may lean more liberal socially, but I'm a firm fiscal conservative who believes in business, low taxes, and free enterprise. My critisisms of Quixtar do not come me being against capitolism, but are specific to Quixtar, and instead of lambasting anti-Quixtar people on their perceived political affilation, I'd love to see Qrush take on the specific complaints people such as myself have against Quixtar. For example, here are a few. Do IBO's follow the 70% rule and/or does Quixtar do anything to enforce it? Does Quixtar sell more then 50% total to non-IBO's, such satisfying the FTC's definition against pyramid schemes? What is the reason why less then 1% of all IBO's fail to reach platinum, and why is the Diamond rate only about 1 in 13,000? Do the systems deliver on what they promise, and what does Qrush think about tool money? And do diamonds make significantly more money off of tools then they do Quixtar, and if yes, is this deceptive? And if diamonds do not make more off of tools, why hasn't Ruth Carter, author of "Beyond the Smoke and Mirrors" ever been sued for defamation for her book (note: she has been sued for her website www.mlmsurvivor.com)?

What is this guy??? Coming out of a bomb shelter after 40 years?? "Commie-Liberals"?? When's the "pinko-bastards" comments coming? I love the fact that IBO's (is he an IBO or an actual Quixtar employee?) always resort to personal verbal attacks. Ask an IBO why does the upper leadership lie about where they get their money and you are called "idiot", "moron", "loser", and never get your question answered.
I am a Libertaripublican. Meaning I am what those that must define themselves in political spectrun as jut right of center. I have voted for all parties, depending on the person wanting my vote. I am as far from the right-wing ultra-conservative religious right as you can get, buy I believe in things that both "sides" don't like. I am pro-gun, and pro-choice, and believe most people should be able to do whatever they want as long as it doesn't infringe or affect anyone elses right to do as they want. If you do, then you are punished. I'm all about free enterprise, I abhor the idea of the government that has to provide everything for you, the democratic view of "give us your money and we'll take are of everything", but I do agree with having a support system for people in need, they just shouldn't be able to live on it forever.
Now whenever you hear and argument from the "religious right", as I'm sure we will cause I am pro-choice, they forget they are NOT the designated religion of this country...remember there isn't one?? Your religion may dictate the way you live, but not me, and the fact that the Democrats consist of so many different religious faiths, that they can not come up with one unifying "threat" to the other party, that the Republicans consider them "religion-less".
But of course, we forget all religion is self-serving to the point that they must discount all other religion in order to validate (and edify) themselves.

I give Qrush 6-8 months before he gives it up or is told by his superiors to clean it up...and he'll never allow comments. Just like an earlier post said, he'd be overrun...just like the anti-quixtar sites are ...no wait, the pro-quixtar people keep claiming their posts are deleted....

I am sure Qrush is a low level pin and his upline does not know what he is doing..
They would say it is a waste of time

Listen ex-dd, your type always points to the beginning information about Rich Devos' attack on the tool system, but never the CLOSURE to that issue. His company implemented buy-back rules, content reviews, etc. etc. etc. to fix the problem he warned distributors of back then.

Trust me. I lived through it all.

Do you really think Rich DeVos just made that tape, sent it out to the field, and then did nothing? You really think he presided over the company for another decade without anything more being done?

The way some of you who post here twist things, you're next going to be telling us that the South is succeeding from the North because didn't they fire on Fort Sumpter? Well, didn't they? Of course they did, but there was a lot of story that followed. Same with the Rich DeVos speech on support materials.

Grow up little children. There are those of us who actually know the facts and won't be swayed by your partial truths.

qrush is qrazy if he thinks the qreation of his qrap is going to help him build his business.

I noticed that Qrush is asking for "your story".

Do you think that if I write him and describe how after 9 years of being "plugged in" to "the system", my husband is still showing net operating losses, Qrush will publish that?

Our bankruptcy, a direct result of the approximately $55,000 spent on tickets to functions, "night owls", gas to drive as far as 600 miles to "show the plan", overpriced products, weekly 'opens', hotels, van rentals (gotta take your whole downline to the FED, you know), etc, makes terrific reading. Perhaps Qrush will publish that?

Somehow, I don't think so.

I find the continuing "us vs them" strategy both predictable and sad. It's part of any cult mindset, from the People's Temple, to Waco, to BWW/WWDB. "They" are out to get you, and "We" will keep you safe - it's a terrific strategy, hyping the emotions without relying too heavily on facts, and obviously, it's effective.

For what it's worth, I am also a political conservative - I even donated money to Allan Keyes' campaign before he lost the nomination to GW Bush. I am an Evangelical, born-again Christian, who firmly believes in free enterprise. And I think the A/Q MOs are a scam, and Alticore's hands are dirty in it's refusal to put a stop to it.

Brenda,

Your condescenion (to wit: "grow up little children", referring to ex-dd in the broad 'your type', and implying that those who disagree with you do so based on either lack of factual information or inablity to process it, not on a difference of opinion between two competent individuals) only serves to strengthen my distaste for (and mistrust of) the whole "business".

I don't think that kind of vitriole is necessary. And if it is, it probably should be emanating from those of us whose lives have been irreparably harmed by these shysters.

Brenda,
I was in 12 years reached dd..I know what I am talking about.
Rich said in his court testomony that they tried to stop it but sales dipped 300 million lower so they gave up. Quixtar came about because Bill, Dex said theat if Amway did not get a internet biz up with a different name that they were going to start their own.
Since 80% of all revenue come thru Dex..the corporation has to listen.

The insults are typical from pwople like you Brenda,
Amquix has listed all facts and stats..You choose to ignore them and supply any facts yourself.
Other phd people have shown that less than .017% make it in the "biz"
1% in America become millionaires..in other words you lose your % if you get in Quixtar.
Quixtar has its hands tied as far as the tools go..Look at all the lawsuits over tools.
Yes they warn people about it, but they do not enforce squat.
for instance:
1) Is your group abiding by the 70% rule?
2) Rich Devos said that tool income, meetings etc should not excede 25% of total income..
3) Where is your proof, Quit speaking generalities..the posters here and at Amquix site have listed non-emotional facts and specifics with no response from IBO's in fact hard number form..just generalities and finally as you , QRush have done name calling and group labeling.

As far as you saying we just use Rich from the beginning and not lately...start reading the latest lawsuits pending where he has been called in to testify..they are real recent..and he still stands firm about the abuse of the "system"

He has not changed his views, just given up on the fact they cand change them.

Your group does not know the breakdown of the system as I am sure you dont.
Paul Miller has publically stated that 75% of his income comes from the system.

So next time you post quit being so general ra ra and prove your position with non-emotional facts like most of us dream stealers have

If QRush is like Quix+Rush, does that mean he distributes prescription pain killers through his pyramid ????

You know, Qrush disabling comments on his blog site kinda reminds me of something you'd see from, oh say... a communist!?

Ok. Now the reality of the QRush site is starting to sink in for me. It has certainly prompted responses from many corners. Am I the only one who thinks the author is just a little too much "over the top"? He is assuming a persona that contradicts the very "heroes" he has chosen to emulate. He seems to have accurately captured the pose of a ranting Rush Limbaugh but what part of his diatribe should we attribute to Rich DeVos? One note however, Rush does actually present his position with some plausibilty, some substance, some basis in facts. So far, the author of QRush has offered little more than taunts reminiscent of the school yard bully trying to intimidate underclassmen into a fight. Is this intended to appeal to the average Pro-Quixtar IBO? The author wishes us to accept his presence as the harbinger of the truth about Quixtar and an archangel that will smite all those that dare challenge this supposed belief. A little facism goes a long way I guess. He declares war on all those not of like mind but hides behind non-descript email adresses and an encased blog site. What a brave person this must be. Qsama Bin Laden?
I think he is a fake.

Sorry. One more thought. The declared goal of the blog by QRush is to occupy the top slot on search engine responses. Imagine type a search word, Quixtar, and seeing the QRush blog at the top. Bet that would make the folks at Quixtar corporate VERY happy.

Wow! With Qrush doing all the commentary on his blog, how will he be able to commit to the 10-15 hours a week required to stay 'plugged into the system'? How will he become financially independent in 2-5 years?

Gee
Did someone pee in Qrush's wheaties?Maybe they forgot to give 1 pv for a case of them!Maybe he is a motivational speaker who is afraid of losing his speaking engagements!

This guy is more like a cross between Archie Bunker and Foghorn Leghorn. After all these years you think these stupid people would stop using the "us against the world" routine. Stop with the conspiracies already! I am a christian, a conservative, I believe in a free market economy and I hate socialism. According to "Fruit Crush" I should be in support of Quixtar. But I am not so what does that make me?

Well, qrush...I know you are reading this...you can't possibly be an IBO if you have enough time to read these sites and make up your own....Yeah that's right, I said make it up. You don't have a blog, you, like Orrin Woodward and the others who disable comments, have advertising websites masquerading as blogs. Yesterday you post you'll have an email address in a few days, today you claim the emails are overwhelming....over 90% positive. I doubt it. All the sites I've ever seen are way over 75% negative in feedback towards Quixtar. Course the people like you, always say that is because the IBOs are out building the business and have no time for this stuff. I kinda believe that, after all if you work a 40 hour job to pay for all your Quixtar expenses and still do the 25-35 hours a week quixtar stuff, you don't have time for anything else. Others, with actual free time, can post their concerns after being "freed" from the oppression of the Quixtar LOS. As I've said before, but you may not have seen it....the main issue is with the LOS and Quixtar's complacent attitude allowing the LOS to manipulate people the way they do.
Course I ask this, if Quixtar was to actually free up everyone from that horrible J.O.B....who would make their products....ow wait, that's right, they'll just get more and more from China. And don't start in about the "partner stores", call any of them and they will all say they are not "partners in quixtar", quixtar is just another retailing venue.

I decided to take Qblog up on his request to email Qrush. I figure he won't post it in it's entirety so here's what I sent him.

Hey Qrush,

Fellow conservative here. Your site could be so much more if you would not hide behind it. At least Eric has the sac to enable comments, Bo speaks from what seems to be eons more experience than you, and Scott shows his research. They all back themselves up intelligently and what are you doing? Sitting behind your psudonym labelng anyone who doesn't support this foolish endeavor as a commie? What gives. We had names for guys like you in school but in the spirit of keeping things clean I'll give you a clue. "Meow".

Enable your comments because it makes you look like a commie yourself.

Jason

Jason
How did you email Qrush? I didnt see an email address..Maybe because I was laughing so hard at a Archie Bunker reincarnate

You have to go into the 'view my complete profile' (which is kind of a joke as it contains nothing about the guy) link and then the email link at the upper left.

If this is the best the pro-quixtar camp can come up with, their closer to implosion than i thought.

this guy is just a pitiful, bombastic windbag.

Well, Qrush is definately out there now.... and I quote "But, let me make this clear, this is Qrush's site and I don't work for Quixtar, IBO's, or Cons. My only reason for this site is to search for the truth. "

How are we to believe that someone who is not employed by Quixtar, not in a LOS, and not benefitting from their business would make such an uproar over it? Qblog, like myself are speaking out on behalf of the suffering of our spouses, his recovered, mine has not. Scott speaks out due to his belief of the fraud of the LOS and having experienced it first hand. Bo speaks out on ethical grounds that he objected too from within the organization and yes, he's is trying to do something better. Afterall, the quixtar response is always "well what do you have that's better?" I don't claim to have anything better, I state that what you have ain't what you think.

But for Qrush to claim that he has NO AFFILLIATION with Quixtar is a stretch, at this point someone should be approaching him to sign up since he is so gung-ho.
I mean c'mon, with his dedication to the business he has nothing to do with, he could break the going Diamond record of 14 months set by that farming couple in Dexter Yager's group from the early 90's.

Roger,

I believe the expression is "Mega-dittos".

The Manson Family were a dedicated bunch from what I remember. Anyone paroled recently?

LOL!!! oh man Im nearly crying, that was some funny stuff....

This cant be serious....the guy is like a parody of himself!

Actually I bet you that this QRush individual is probably not a bad person. I think that they just have a lot of pent-up anger over their failure to build their "business powered by quixtar" (through no fault of their own), are currently experiencing a multitude of personal & financial hardships, and are just looking to lash out at anybody that wants to hear them - for the proverbial "shoulder to cry on". I think that everybody should stop picking on him or her, and just let them vent their frustrations. Before you know it, they will be satisfied and resume their normal life.

I am a Quixtar IBO and QRush pisses me off more than the negative b.s. thats out there. QRush is part of the problem not part of the solution. I'll stand up and say it, before someone accuses me of it - I am a NPR listening liberal who thinks Bush should be impeached. I choose to run my Quixtar business the way I want. Yes I'll never go Diamond but I dont want to. I like the extra dollars that come in each month to supplement my salary in my regular job and I have never spent a dime on tools and never will. The Quixtar business can be and should be for anyone and it would appear that QRush would have me excommunicated because I believe differently than he does. I treat people in my business how I want to be treated and they keep coming back it's that simple. When you treat people like that they realize that Quixtar is truly about the person in the Quixtar business that you are involved with. My parting comment is - swim with sharks and you will get eaten, swim with dolphins and you will have tales to tell all.

While I find the comments on Qrush site amusing, it almost seems to be a parody or self mocking. While he has a right to express his opinions, and is obviously really angry, I am not going to take this clown seriously until he is prepared to post comments or invite debate. To just mindlessly rant and then say, "this is my site and no one is allowed to speak except me" sounds like something my nine year old children would say. Ridiculous, says I

I think Qrush would make a good wrestler, as he likes to talk the talk, but lacks any real intelligence. He can say whatever he wants, but with nobody able to challenge him, its kinda like listening to a diamond on tape.(coincidence?) He's also probably got a better chance of being a professional wrestler than a diamond.

It's obvious he's not too interested in the ideas of others, which is a crystal clear indicator that he's not all that confident in the message he's trying to convey, bullies usually aren't.

He's just another little Ambot with the volume on a bit louder than most.

I wouldn't be the least bit surprised if he is a diamond, or on the payroll of a diamond.

But that's just me:)

Judging from his latest post (attention all conservative Americans), it would appear that Qrush is having some difficulty getting the response from his constituency that he wanted.

I hate to have Rush associated with this 'tard. He reminds me more of Wally George (if you know who that was.) I'm afraid that might even be too much of a compliment.

Qrush is in reality...........

Roman Moronie!

We all thought he was killed, but apparantly from his latest post, getting himself upset and worked into a foam-mouthed frenzy caused his years of English language correction courses to fail him.

Qrush says " Qrush is the person the liberal pinko fargin bastages love to hate." How much longer before he accuses us of being "cork-suckers" and "ice holes". Good to see that the last 20 Years have been good for Mr. Moronie.

http://qrush_quixtar_blog.blogspot.com/2004/08/quixtar-qrush-questions-bo-shorts.html

Man, oh man! I laughed soooo hard, that the tears ran down my leg. More Amadrivel from an ill-educated underachiever. That's my kinda guy! In the infamous words of Rodney King, "why can't we all get along?". I'll tell you why: so long as the overzealous Qbots run around tearing at their chest hair and "claimin' it", the business will never be taken seriously. Personally, my political leanings are slightly to the right of John Birch - and I love free enterprise - I just can't stomach A/Q's version of it.

The problem is that the sheep that are being fleeced can't, or won't, see the fleecing. How do you save someone from himself?
