Why is Orrin Woodward Blogging?

Why has Orrin Woodward, leader of the Quixtar group Team of Destiny, started a blog? This is the same man who struggled to limit access to formerly public articles. However, now he's publishing a blog, one of the most open and candid forms of communication on the Web today. Maybe it's just me but it seems odd that he limits access to his comments on his OrrinWoodward.com site but provides unfettered access to his blog comments. Wonder why that is?
I have a few more inquisitive observations:
1. Compliance
Is the Orrin Woodward Blog in compliance with Quixtar's legal bulletin #17 which states:
"The Corporation, with the support of the Independent Business Owners Association International (IBOIA), has implemented a Zero Tolerance Policy for unauthorized prospecting web sites. Under this policy, IBOs with unauthorized web sites will be immediately suspended for a period of 6-months from any sponsoring activities."If it is in compliance, then why doesn't it bear the "For North American use only - Content Reviewed Ref. No.(some number)" notice anywhere on the blog while such a notice appears on his OrrinWoodward.com site? Are the two sites really that different?
2. No Time To Blog
For almost two years I've asked Quixtar IBOs why I haven't been able to find any (with few exceptions) pro-Quixtar blogs on the Web and the reply is almost always, "The really successful IBOs don't have time to blog. They have more important things to do." I never believed that explanation but now that Orrin Woodward, Jody Victor, Fred Harteis, Billy Florence and other IBOs are blogging, what does that do to the whole "don't have time to blog" explanation?
3. July, Month of Blog
Before July of this year there were virtually no blogs published by Quixtar IBOs that dealt exclusively with some aspect of Quixtar (their business, relationships, etc.). However, I've spotted at least ten and possibly 15 or more IBO-authored blogs all launched this month. Additionally, almost all of those blogs are powered by BlogHarbor software (which appears to be owned by Rackshare and developed by Tucows) which is, in the world of blogs, a relatively obscure blogging tool (see previous post).
4. BlogHarbor?
Few of these "Quixtar IBO" BlogHarbor blogs (like Orrin Woodward's) allow for comments. While this isn't unusual, it's still a curious fact. Traditionally, blogs thrive on the comments of readers and it's the feedback and independent conversations that occur in those comments that make blogs such powerful communication tools. I'll say this, most bloggers who disable comments do so AFTER their comments have become too burdensome to manage. Another interesting thing about the comments is that BlogHarbor allows very robust comment management. While many blogs allow virtually anonymous commenting, BlogHarbor requires registration with a valid email address before commenting is possible. This provides MUCH more control over a blogger's comments. So, with so much control, why are the comments disabled? I have my theories.
UPDATE: Within an hour or so of this post going live, Orrin Woodward disabled the trackback feature on his blog. Dude is really monitoring his blog... or paying someone else to.
5. Blog Spamming?
In light of so many coincidences with these new IBO blogs (all started around July, most using the same software, many posts duplicates of posts on other blogs, similar linking strategies, etc.) one would possibly assume that Quixtar, or some Quixtar Line of Sponsorship, was orchestrating a concerted blog effort to maybe flood the Blogging Community with pro-Quixtar rhetoric. While I see nothing wrong with this on the surface, there is a definite sense that such a strategy may be a new form of Spamming or more accurately, Google Bombing. I guess we'll have to wait and see what happens.
In summary, I'm glad to see IBO blogs. I think blogging is good no matter what. I just fear that some of these new blogs may be nothing more than an effort to exploit the blogging community for commercial gains. If that's the case, then that's just bad blog karma. I hope that Orrin Woodward and his friends are better than that. Time will tell.

Well, that didn't take very long.
Nothing bugs me more than someone referring to themselves in the third person. It's either an attempt to make them appear more important than they are, or a strategy to make it easier to distance themself from the actual content.
OK, his July 26th blog was very interesting. My only question is this:
Does he have any thoughts of his own worth listening to, or is he just going to continue quoting words which he did not write?

It looks to me like they are google spamming, just like they are doing with all their numerous "platinum" websites. Check out "Team of Destiny" in Yahoo. All you get are hits to the platinum websites. Pretty soon there will be 75 TOD Blogs to try to hide this site as well.
Looks like the leaders of TOD don't like that prospects have access to alternative ideas about the TOD business and are trying to flood the market with irrelevant hits

Speaking of Orrin Woodward, I found a new blog on Blogharbor today. Someone who obviously wants to capitalize on the TOD blogging trend. It's a parody blog and I find it quite entertaining.

I just looked at the blog, it says nothing about his doings in the business. Does have at least one personal entry, when he watched the movie "Miracle" and trys to use that in reference to building Quixtar. The rest of it appears to be the same rhetoric, back-patting, smoke-up-your-ass, you can make me rich if you do this.

His claim that he looks in the mirror and needs to lose 15 lbs is a fact....then a few weeks later when he has has lost 10 lbs by "that very process of thinking." so therefore the facts changed, he no longer needsd to lose weight. This is some twisted way of saying ignore the facts about Quixtar, they will change if the dream is big enough.....course the "fact" that the way diamonds have gotten their money (B business) and that 99% of people don't make it to diamond, and 50% don't renew each year haven't changed in 20 years does not lend much credit to his claim that the facts don't matter.

Mr. Alex, I can assure you that the only association I have with this site is my frequent reading....My wife is indeed a slave to Orrin Woodward's TOD...It is causing much strife within my marriage, and unless I can get her to see the what it is doing then I shall surely see the end of my marriage. As for my Nom de plume, well, I see you are not so eager to challenge the identity of Socrates, J.Edgar Hoover, and all the "other" posters in favor of Quixtar that are likely one person. The pro-Quixtar persons should be the most open, cause if they have indeed made the success they claim is available, should be able to prove it. facts are facts even when they are in your favor, not mine. but when challenged to show their successes, the "enlightened" cry foul...stating such drivel as "I don;'t have to prove it to you", or challenging the "questioners" with "what do you have that is better"??
Well, I do not have anything "better" for you to do instead, I am stating TOD is a lie, fraud, and misrepresents where they get their money and that you can't do it in 10-15 hours a week, part-time. You, or the other Pro-Quixtar people claim it can be done...and I say prove it? Don't tell me Orrin did it, so you will too! Orrin has had thousands of people under him in the 10 years it took him to go Diamond under Amway then Quixtar....why does he only have less than 10 Diamonds himself? Wal-Mart is undoubtedly a first rate profit generator, and there is a world of difference between being a good company and a good company to work for.
I don't think QBlog sensors anyone, nor do I think he makes any entries oher than under QBlog.
You should start a blog revealing all of QBlog's secrets. Then people will go to your site AND this site. The end result? More people know that Amway is a rip off!!!

What I've seen usually happen, as is the recent case with PJ, the readers and comment posters shut the little Ambots up by pointing out the obvious.
Dear qblog, eric, husband, scott and all your other aliases. If husband would be so kind to give his name I am sure we can call quixtar to verify his claims. I blieve you get a number as well when you start. What is that number. I believe we can validate whether he is in the business, then we can ascertain what he was doing at this time and his ip adrress to see who really is posting. Eric I think you have played this game too long and you are now demented. That is what lying does to a man.

One other point for Mr. Alex... if you claim to be concerned of the "censoring" done, contact Mr. Woodward and ask why his blog does not allow commenting??? cause it is not a blog, it is a static advertising site, a place to put up TOD propoganda to combat the truth discusses on real blogs. Like the discussion I am attempting to do here. BTW, why did you start your assault upon me with a personal attack of name calling?
Hardly seems like the 'higher attitude' supposedly taught by the LOS, especially the heavily religious ones like TOD. Oh I forgot, anyone not with you is a "loser", "failure", "unmotivated slacker", cause you'd have to be one of those not to see the light? I did not sign up on the QUixtar IBO form...though I was told that according to the Quixtar Rules of Conduct, a spouse, even if not signed up is still held accountable to the rules. I don't think that it is legally possible to enforce rules on me that my wife agreed to and I did not. But, with that information at hand, I shall begin my own battle against TOD...and if in the process I break Quixtar rules, so be it. All they can do is cancel my wife's IBO status, taking her out of TOD and I get what I want anyway. III assume at this point you are a memeber of TOD, looking for specifics to report to Orrin and the lackeys...so Here you go...report away. What is this? Alex has a point here. This must be the same person (Scot, husband, eric, Qblog) answering Alex. I have looked over several comments and Scot seems to answer within minutes. He must be getting notified as an Administrator when something is posted. So there is the proof.

I see what Alex is after. If Qblog provides ip addresses for each individual that posts, the reader would be able to tell what computer the post came from. So if one person was posting from the same computer using sereral identities, we would be able to tell.

I did not resort to calling you a dork, or any other defamation against you....I did speak ill of Orrin Woodward's blogsite, so unless you are the maintainer of said site....did not offer offense to you...personally. Only my pity if you are indeed a TOD member, in which case you have continued to ifnore my concerns and continue to harp upon the "you must be all the same guys" schtick and avoid any of the points presented.

I questioned, got accused, replied to questions, asked more questions, and yet my concerns are unanswered, not even discussed...just if I am who I am.... so the whole diversion tactic most used by the pople not wanting to address facts is still the most popular.

If there were really "censorship" here on the level Alex seems to be alleging then wouldn't his comments be removed? Wouldn't the infamous comment flood from Socrates (and his many aliases) be MIA? Sure, I've removed a few (very few) comments of both pro-Quixtar and anti-Quixtar folks in the past. After all, it is MY blog and I pay the bills. This is not a public square and I never claimed it was.
However, I'm more than tolerant towards the opinions and comments of my critics. In fact, I enjoy such criticisms for I believe that allowing such a discourse enables readers to determine the truth for themselves instead of having one person's version shoved down their throat.

As I said, my wife signed up for Quixtar without my consent... my name is on NOTHING of Quixtar and TOD. it is all in her name, and shall stay that way. I do not order from them, want nothing to do with them...argued with my wife for ordering a case of toilet paper better used for scrubbing pans and not wiping butts.
What is her IBO # going to do for you? You still refuse to address concerns within the discussion started. Can you continue to drag it over to another subject? Let's just all assume that you, me, and QBlog aren't the same person. Is TOD any better an opportunity? I would say that one has NOTHING to do with the other.
In any event, I hope that they can tell me something that I've never heard before at a function or on a tape. That would tell me that these 2 think for themselves.

I would like to see discussion of how Orrin's stacking method is any different from what Dexter Yager did in the 80's, to boost his numbers...then abandoned bacuase the format allows for quick growth but is not sustainable due to the lack of actual money being made from driving only a single leg deep. I think Dexter called it a "depth-charge" back then. But what was the point of this discussion was the Orrinwoodward blog, as well as the Teamof Destiny blog are static advertising sites and not blogs. without allowing for discussion it is not a blog. Orrin may have well of just bought the name orrinwoodwardblog.com and posted web pages that look like blog entries... it's not as if he is actually posting anything himself, the man has hired people to maintain his and other TOD sites and to post the articles on them. Not like he is gonna sit down and type in an actual entry. He may type up a monologue and email it to his web person, and they add it to the opening of whatever the article is he want's posted that day.
Funny thing, Alex and Don are gone... and now my wife gets home before she goes to a "meeting" and she is on the phone with a call from her upline..... could Alex and Don have been legit TOD members and they went and tattled on me to someone in their upline who got it up to Orrin and he called Lori?????
Could it be?? I'll let you all know how it turns out.
Again, as I posted when this was a recent entry, to me, it looks as if Orris goes around quoting other people's work.
How about some independant thoughts of his own?
Or does he counsel upline prior to posting his comments?
In any event, I'm sure he knows that his comment box would be flooded with people who do not particularly agree with his business.
These comments would also be seen by his loyal minions, who may see that Orrin does not know everything at all, and that he is obviously in a conflict of interest, supplying their tools, yet making so much of his income off of them.
It's better to have only his thoughts, whether its a meeting, tape, or weblog. There's just too great a chance that he'll be painted into a corner if he is to have a discussion with someone who questions his motivations, and who does not worship the ground he walks on.

Well, she left without details, just going to a "meeting"... nothing more....I asked her if they changed the Tues meetign to Mon and she said "no". Nothing else, when questioned she has no idea how long she'll be gone, so it could be anything...a plan, a reward meeting, anything. But I don't care, I have decided to email Orrin directly at his OrrinWoodward@TeamofDestiny.com address and tell him of my plans to be vocal in my opposition to him and his organization's manipulation of my wife. Should he have an issue with it, he will need to remove her from his organization as I will be violating Quixtar rules or encourage her to divorce me.....I love my wife, and do not want to lose her...and I would rather have her mad at me now than later when she is broke and hating herself for not "succeeding" in the business they told her she would.

I am here looking at the negatives about quixtar "slash" amway. I am hesistating in joining quixtar ,the thought of lonely nights because of wife not being home and im the only one watching the kids. The thought of losing hundreds of dollars every month on motels seminars, pow wow, bow wow b/s. I could have bought alot of quarter ounce pot and turn it around resell it. Of course i dont do drugs. Just the thought of 5 years hoping and praying to god that i would be rich, that all those lesser being beneath me who is doing the same cause? What cause is that UNITY. I look at it this way was jesus rich when he was A MAN? Does god teaches us to be rich? Oh do we need to be rich to supply those seeders of god? no. thank you i just want to post.
It's amazing how people find it easier to criticize, condemn, and complain when they have no clue. If you have not been involved in an organization how do you know what they are doing is wrong? You always have two choices; either their wrong or you are and it's easy to stand on the outside and point your finger and say there wrong. Who said that if your rich it referse to money, have you ever herd of rich in gifts. So god wants you to be poor is that it? I was going to waste more time defending myself and other friends that are so called "slaves to Orrin Woodward's TOD", but then I put it into perspective. Were there any Quixtar profits connected with it because no one has seen any of those in a while. :) People say they've seen those too, but they were just debunked as system or tool profits.
Ok. Here's my two cents. You have every right to say what you want about TOD that is your opinion and you are intitled to it. But do not, I repeat do NOT question intelligence or integrity of a man you do not know. I have met Orrin Woodward personally, I have also met other CEO's of big companies. And I will tell you this, Orrin Woodward has CLASS. You can tell because he doesnt reply to your low remarks and stupidity. Other CEO's that i have met, are very tart with the people around them. They treat waitstaff and other lower class citizens with such disrespect it's embarassing. But not Orrin. In the very short time that I have known him, he has shown me that he has kindness and respect for everyone. That is because he is a good ol' boy from Columbiaville MI. He is not some rich snob, he is one of the most decent human beings I have met. I have only been in TOD for a few months, and all hype and bs aside.....I would rather follow a man like Orrin Woodward than most other CEO's and bosses. wow I will be very shocked if what i just posted will go through...no wonder you have only anti quixtar/tod stuff no pro stuff....you "protect against malicious postings" more like you only post what you want to post....isnt that censorship of the people that are pro TOD? I have been contacted by an elder in a church in our area in regards to the TOD program. I am interested in getting into the TOD program to build income in the years to come.
I am interested now to know how your wife made out after over two years into it. she was honored for being "motivated" or "a go getter". These people will succeed most times. How did she do with TOD?
Takes a small minded person to lie and have thier cult follow it like the old Business did. Release the information for the IBO's of Quixtar to see where your leading them. Don't slam someone's honesty when you wont publish or release your own information!
