Quixtar Fires Back

By QBlog in

Quixtar Facts seems to be a new Web site from Quixtar designed as a response to various criticisms about the company. The site even indirectly addresses the infamous Postma Memo on a page titled "Sister company communications in the 1980s." Here's an excerpt:

In the early 1980s, Amway Corp., a sister company of Quixtar, became concerned when books, tapes, and meetings became significant businesses for some distributors affiliated with Amway. These concerns were cited in a memo written by an employee and a speech given that year by one of the company's co-founders. Neither of these communications, however, were a legal review or opinion. Rather, they were the opinions of their authors, neither of whom were lawyers.
Wow. Am I reading that wrong or are they basically saying that Rich DeVos (the company's co-founder they mention) is a dumbass? I mean, it seems like if the freakin' founder of the company is concerned about something then it's pretty damn important even if he didn't go to law school. But that's just me I guess.

Compendium and the New Rule
Another thing I noticed is that the Rules of Conduct page still links to the old version of the Compendium which does not include the New Rules. I hope that gets updated soon.

Message from Randy Bancino
On the Quixtar MP3 page there is a message to Quixtar dads that announces the launch of the QuixtarFacts.com Web site. The message was dated June 21 (Fathers Day), and here are a couple of quotes:

...This site is far from complete. And We're going to add more information to it on a regular basis to provide the newest and most compelling information about your Quixtar powered businesses. About the products and the company. And basically all the solid factual information that people should know...

...Plus there's a lot more going on here at Quixtar this summer. The whole crew is working very hard to build Web tools to put into your hands to enhance your business. You'll be hearing a lot more about all of that in the weeks and months to come...

For those who want to hear the entire audio message you can download the mp3 here:

The Power of Links
I should point out that this site, unlike the Dateline Response site, is linked DIRECTLY from the Quixtar.com home page. This is very significant. It demonstrates the importance Quixtar places on this Facts site and how they want their brand clearly associated with the site. That wasn't so clear with the Dateline Response site.

But I thought that the Facts Don't Count?

It's OK though. The "Fact Sheet" doesn't address the facts such as the tools scam, or the ridiculously priced products.(Even at wholesale)

Is anyone surprised that it addresses none of the concerns that are usually associated to this company?

Best not to talk about that negative information, I suppose...............

But that's just me

Tools are addressed quite extensively, including references to the infamous Postma meme, although his name is not mentioned.

Quixtar Facts is a good site, but it is a clever spin job. As a current IBO, I feel that it doesn't address the real problem. The problem, other than pricing issues, has never been the Quixtar/Amway corporation. The problem is the BWW system, and its intrusive, controlling nature. My wife and I have basically walked away from the networking side of this business because of the way the people involved treat others, and the way that they try to invade every aspect of your life. Plus, they are some of the biggest phonies I've ever met. The people who "loved" us so much have all but disappeared.

It's not limited to the BWW system.

And the fact that Amway/Quixtar condones and enables the system abuses IS a major part of the problem. So don't discount the involvement of the corporation.

You're dead-on right about the brand of "love" they offer: just as phony as the opportunity! (Most IBOs think the "love" is real, but their behavior belies the truth.)

"In the early 1980s, Amway Corp., a sister company of Quixtar, became concerned when books, tapes, and meetings became significant businesses for some distributors affiliated with Amway."

What a cop out ... distancing themselves from Amway and the "concerns."

They site several times how they (Quixtar) "advise" new IBOs that the BSMs are optional and that they have to be approved by them (Quixtar), as well. Huh? If they listen to those tapes and they approve them, then they really are contributing to the manipulation that new IBOs encounter by uplines to snow them into following their guidance to grow their business. They (Quixtar company heads) all are dumbasses as far as I am concerned. Sorry, but if they cannot offer anymore solid business building techniques themselves, then they are contributing to the BSMs mountains of tapes that harp mostly on the dream. Blah, blah, the dream is what keeps you going, blah, blah, but not without the steps that do get results.

The site does a real good job of spelling out what THEY expect, and the problem with that is the LOS (TOD, WWDB, etc) are pushing alot of things outside of that. And if it comes down to a problem, AltAmQuix can get out of that involvement. You buy products from them, but you buy support from LOS. Your purchases from the AltAmQuix "protective shell" company provide the anti-pyramid scheme cover, and about $150K a year to your Diamond (AltAmQuix)....your purchase of "tools" supports the "product pyramid scheme" (no retail sales to those outside group) and gives about $900K to your "diamond" (who owns the book publisher, tape distributor, organizes meets, rallies, and functions) and that ladies & gentlemen is how these con artists become "Millionaires" in this business.

I was a BWW member who was told to plug into the system and all that....Anyway after about two years of plugging away at the business I walked away as well....with a much larger debt and boxes of useless tapes.....plus where are all those people who loved me when I was a "Go Getter" showing up at every function, event and coffe shop meeting. Oh, I know what happened....I stopped lining my upline platinum and aboves pockets.

Wow! am I glad that I typed Quixtar into my search when my potential IBO sponser was leaving town for a week. You people sure saved me alot of head and heartache. Yeah, I got the same lines of how it's a business to help people help people. I just can't believe that my doctor and another business person in town have been duped.
Wow! thank you for this sight. Jon

This site seems to be a quitters paradise ...if for a change I want someone to post here what helped the people in the business to succeed - that'll be good for new IBO's like me .
I think its a good business model and makes sense - there is lot of potential - can one of the non quitters / successful peope suggest some thing?
this is my belief that Internet has become like a freeway restroom wall with all negative remarks - i really want to know how is the webmaster making his $$ ..what is his source of income - is he funded by quixtar's competetors?

dude ..trying to make $$ by q* bashing eh ? this is like begging dude - why dont u get a life?

WOW never had I had the chance to enjoy so many people who have nothing to live for (so it sounds).
Jon, you should have your head examined. Do you let people on the internet make all your decisions for you? I would take a look at what you are doing now and continue doing it for say the next 30 years, if that is your idea of success. Be sure and ask yourself if your job is working for you? Ask your best friend and look at his lifestyle, is that what you want for you and your family? I would incourage you to call back that person who shared the business plan with you and ask him to help you make it work. Even if you do not need the money, lifestyle, freedom, whatever GIVE IT ALL AWAY! I guarantee you will feel alot better and touch more lives than you will 30 more years at what you are doing now.
The thing about Quixtar, it weeds out the weak and purifies those who really choose to build a big business. Sure you can make some money by selling the products, but to build a lifestyle you have to do some work. Hmmmm, in college to become an engineer I was asked to read engineering books, watch shows of great engineering marvels, associate with other engineers and guess what with all that WORK I find myself an engineer. Is that amazing or what? No, I did the work and it paid off.
If you want a get rich quick system look online there are tons of them, maybe someone on here found something even Better, thats always a good one! But to date I have only been offered that plan one time by a hunting buddy, and have never been contacted by anyone else. So its not by chance, you are just not ready, but I encourage you to take another look and dont let those who QUIT advise you on your own success. Look at their lifestyle and ask yourself, Do I want to live like that? or Thats the relationship I want with my wife. or He goes to all his kids school events. (Not to many dads there I can tell you) they are working the 30 year plan, like yourself. Just a few words from the heart.

This is sad that most the people out there think that quixtar is a scam. Quixtar is the best thing that has happened to my family. it has brought us closer to GOD through the TEAMS training system. and it only sems like quixtar is a scam until you read the paper work it states that the average IBO only makes one hundred dollers a month. when was the last time you wanted to live life average? We are a bunch of copycats in today's society trying to impress the "Joneses" when debt is the biggest figure in a household there is trouble ahead. If I were you watching mindless entertainment letting things like TV and the radio teach our kids how not to act or when the bundies is teaching us that we got it ok because Al is a shoesalesman from chicago and we have it better than that. that is when you settle into your settled for life style watch out there is qa 45 year plan check it out on the united states department of labor website find an IBO with the right buisness for you and plugg into there training system and get your life on track before the information age passes you by.

I have seen Quixstar ruin not one but many friendships. Why the hell do you guys try to convince people when you yourself arent doing that well. Your life has already been ruined. Dont ruin others life. If getting poor to rich was so simple, everyone would have become Bill Gates.
