Back in the saddle

I've just returned from a wonderful family vacation. I had no intention of even thinking about Quixtar while I was away but part of my vacation was spent in what is apparently the heart of Bill Britt Country. I saw Paul Miller and met some folks who are friends with Miller's family and Larry Winters' family. It was quite interesting. I also spent some time on the beach doing beach stuff. It was great to relax a bit but it's really good to be back home.
Now, time to update this ole blog.

Yeah. I'm not really sure what the big deal is either. Yes, Debbie was there with Paul though they weren't sitting together but I didn't sit with my wife either so that doesn't mean anything. Nobody that I talked to knows anything about a divorce. Does that mean there is no divorce? No idea. If it happens, it happens. If it doesn't, it doesn't.

It matters that there was a divorce, because the Quixtar AMO's heavily advertise how their business saves marriages.
Bill Gates doesn't advertise such a thing. So he can get married and divorced 10 times over and it wont' matter for squate.
However, when one stands on stage in front of 10's of 1000's and says how this business is saving their marriage, and then the next week is filing divorce......then that's just hypocrisy.
So how about you think about your comparisions first and see if you're comparing apples to apples to applies, instead of apples to crayons using your busted ass logic.
It doesn't affect my business in any way shape or form...cause I am not doing it anyway. I am just curious, like shawn said, we are always told how great this business is for marriages and such, and that all these diamonds have great marriages...I could care less if they get divorced, I just wish people would be honest that is all.
No biggy, you just can't get real information out of people in Quixtar, so I figured I would ask someone who had contact with Paul and wasn't loyal to an "upline"

It may have something to do with trust and loyalty too.
If a couple in a leadership position drops a bomb on their followers like a sudden divorce, it may stun them into inactivity. They may choose sides, the group may split, it may create mistrust as in, "What else aren't they telling us? What's next?"
Notice I said, "May."
I don't really know ... just my thoughts.
I think it's very crucial to any person in any form of leadership to live what they preach. I went to several functions and heard over and over again about integrity, honesty, following God's principles, setting an example...and so on. Now not only have some Leadership couples gone against what they've been teaching, but they've lied about it on stage...not really lied, but it's like my dad says, deception is a form of lying. They went against integrity by decieving ALL IBO's, they went against honesty in the same way; they went against God's principles because the Bible clearly states God is against divorce, and by going against what they preach so adimantly, they aren't setting a good example. No matter how much you cover up what you do the truth will eventually come out. I haven't lost respect for them as people, but I have as leaders. Everyone is human and makes mistakes...yes, but they need to be man (and woman) enough to admit those mistakes.
It was once said small minds discuss people (gossip). Average minds discuss events (news, media, etc.) and great minds discuss ideas (discoveries and ACHEIVMENTS of our century). A thought to ponder.
Business is business! I've heard form my upline that Paul and Debbie have split up. Add Taylor team members Marshall and Sherunda to that list, too. While I am saddened at the news, it doesn't affect my business or my marriage. If Bill Britt himself was divorced from Peggy, it would only mean that they could no longer continue together. What's that got to do with me--I'm supposed to model Christ first, not Bill, or Paul, or Marshall.
If we don't deify people, it won't hurt us so much when they inevitably prove that they are indeed human.
Besides, the statistics are far better with Quixtar IBOs than it is in American society at large.
It does matter about Debbie and Paul Miller divorcing because they preached about their relationship to tens of thousands of people in convention centers across the country while they betrayed not only each other by virtue of their carrying on in alleged extra-marital affairs but also the audiences who sadly bought into their bulls--t. Why wouldn't they, though? They lied about the products, they lied about the 2-5 year plan, they embellished what they said they did to make a heap of money just like they embellished what they were doing when they betrayed each others' trust. More smoke and mirrors. We quit the Quixtar after six years and tens of thousands of wasted dollars lost to maxed out credit cards while flying to conventions and living a lifestyle of consumption of largely low-quality products with hyper-inflated prices because the 'leaders' were the biggest of the liars and success was directly related to the ones who could shovel the biggest pile of b.s. to the largest number of people in the shortest period of time.
Word on the street is that Paul had something going with his secretary for quite awhile (who was also married at the time), and is still currently seeing her. Anyone know this to be true??
I just want to say as a IBO in the Britt Miller Organzition. That any man who follows a nother man will most likley be let down. But a man who folllows Gods principles will not get let down. That means don't follow the man follow the princples. Every man will disapoint you at some point. but forgiveness is the key.

funny thing! i had a tape called "blondes, friendship and marriage tips" by paul miller now that is what i call irony!
Does anyone know anything about Angelo and Claudia Nardone ? Or about Mark Diamond ? Anyway, they , like their upline Renfrow up to and including Bill Britt, enforce a ruthless method of using religion ( Sunday morning "service" at weekend functions ) to brainwash and CONTROL distributers - if they cannot control you ( blind obedience to following their every command and whim ), they take husband and wife aside separately ( they call this practise "COUNSELING!!!"), alienate them AGAINST each other informing them their spouse is NOT approved by the upline and therefore WILL be "cast out " by any means necessary meanwhile they - the "upline"- meet secretly with the couples' downline and inform them that their upline ( the couple ) is nolonger embraced by the respective upline and the downline should choose sides and nolonger follow them ! They in effect manipulate/create and follow through on a corporate America style hostile take over of the couple's ( yes a coup ) business, isolating them from upline. downline and each other always resulting in divorce and loss of their AMWAY business. Let's face it folks, it's time to dismantle SCAMWAY and it's "Evil Empire " cult leaders - perhaps a LONG stint in jail along with multi million dollar fines would facilitate and remedy the situation. It really is time for the U.S. government to get involved perhaps like WACO , Texas and end this abhorration and nightmare to the unsuspecting American public. Yes it is true, the "upline Diamonds" make their fortunes off the overpriced functions - Britt even went to the extent of booking all hotels for a 45 mile radius around Richmond - for an example - to ensure he would get a piece of his downlines' wallet booking rooms exclusively through Britt ( what a CROOK !!!!). More comments to follow...

I was an IBO, but got out due to challenges of my marriage. I saw many couples stand on stage and speak about principles for both Marriage and Business. Paul & Debbie were one such couple. As some have said Life happens. Well, I have taken those lessons learned from my failed marriage... met someone gotten married and now have a lovely daughter. My wife and I speak all the time about what is and will be happening in our lives. We laugh every day.
To say "Thank you!" to Paul & Debbie, Stuart & Edith, and Boots & Joyce for the example and work ethic to attempt to make it happen, would not be enough. It is up to YOU to dream, to concieve, but it requires YOUR work, trust, and Communication with each other. So, it is up to YOU. Semper Gumby = Always Flexible...
The only reason why anyone wants to know about the divorce is so they can justify to themself why they did not get off their butt and build the business. They have a low self image, and must have an excuse for failure. Lets say you found out that your fitness instructor where you ecercise got a divorce after telling you that he had a great marriage due to a regular fitness program. Would that make you stop exercising, no! You may use a different instructor, but you will still use the exercise machines to stay in shape. Why not focus on the positive, like Larry Winters giving away over 70% of his income to charity. Gary Newell's outreach program. People who go out of their way to search for garbage on the internet are only looking for excuses to fail. So you cause people in my downline to call me at three in the morning upset about some garbage you type on the internet (a.k.a.- same type of people who write stupid stuff on bathroom walls), and steal their dreams.
Yes it was a shocker when it was revealed about Paul & Debbie, but it does not change all the good the man did during his better years of the business. Anyone, including myself, can self destruct at any moment. I know that Paul is no longer in a position of leadership and his group outside of Winters and Covington have been devestated. He is reaping the penalty for poor decisions, but it doesn't affect me or my family. I wish them both the best
Maybe if you people spent less time trying to find the bad in the world there would be an CAM CD released by you. Notice to all you inactive IBOs the business is seeing exponential growth, 19 year olds are blowing this thing up. I have seen a couple of 22 year olds with a dedicated following that could inspire just about anyone. By the way I am not sure who your uplines are, but mine have been nothing but honest, and have dedicated countless hours to their word. If you are a new person looking at these posts, believe in yourself, and apply the Eagle Steps 5,9,3, see you in CAM club. I hope you Dreamstealers find Jesus, before you hurt to many people. I'll say a prayer for you. Done deal, said the prayer. By the way I sat in Paul's club house and he is awesome, and he still has quite a following, his leadership has waivered little. Maybe you might want to attend FED to see what is happening.
I'm an active IBO and I just wanted to say so what if someone gets divorced im not quiting over it. I wasn't told 100% of IBO marriages work out in the long run, but the average number of IBO's marriages that work is still higher then the national average. If you ask me thats not a bad thing at all. See you at FED 2005
Go on to FED in 2005! I was an IBO for over seven years. I got started when I was 24 years old. I bought into the DREAM! I sacrificed the very things for 7 stinkin' years that I was showing in "THE PLAN" that you could have. It was "FAKE IT, TILL YA MAKE IT!" The only challange with that is, most people NEVER make it. We became Profit Sharing Directs and were amazed when we learned we actually got to make money on the tools and the system! To make a long story short, you can be so close to the forest that you can't see the TREES! We even hit Ruby! Can you make money? Sure you can. You leave a lot of bodies along the way though. I went to Paul Millers house several times. I sat in his club house right there at Mistletoe more than four times @ special events listening to a man that at that time was having an affair with his secretary! There are a lot of true stories about hush money being paid to people to keep them quiet not to say anything. Like about Mr. Stewart Upch_ _ _ _ not being able to keep it in his pants. The parties @ Myrtle Beach with Rocky, Randy, and Ken Cra_ _ _'s eighteen year old daughter. It's amazing that these same people would talk so much about Christian values! If someone will lie and defile the most important thing on earth, don't you think they are lying to YOU!!!!! I know they are! I lived it for over seven years! I know these people up-close and personal! I did learn a lot about Free Enterprise and and being an entrepanuer! I met Rich Devos on several occasions. I got to meet a lot of great people! I have been very successful and blessed in my own business because of the knowledge I gained. I do live an incredible lifestyle and I don't really keep up with what day of the week it is. I will tell you though, I am not arrogant towards people who haven't had my blessed success! I appreciate every day I'm alive and for every breath I get to take. I know people who got started in Amway/Quixtar before I did and they still think their going to "make it", and it's going on over fourteen and fifteen years for several of them! They can "honestly" look you in the eye and tell you they are just getting started when they first "contact" you. They can also tell you when you ask them how much they are making that "they would not want to tell you because you might feel like you would have to keep up!" They are pros @ every thing they do! From the initial contact, to the phone call, to the two on one or one on one! They will eat your lunch, dinner, and breakfast, and have you on standing order tape, book of the week, and anything else they can quicker than you can say smashing white! The way they get you sucked in is the same way you boil a FROG! They have it down to a science. If you are not teachable you will not get the help of the "TEAM"! If you don't follow the eight team player steps to the "T" you are not teachable! Incorporated in the eight team player steps is "standing order tape" and "reading", and "attending ALL FUNCTIONS" This is how they make their money! Did you know that when they book a city for a major fuction, they "the leaders" actually make money on every hotel that is rented in their "Block" of hotels! The Emeralds and above make money on all of the ticket sales! Why do they think pressure you in every way shape form and fassion to get you there? Oh, it's because they care about you, and they would walk thru fire to help you because you're a part of the "TEAM"! SUCKERRRR!
I think it's interesting that one can find it so dispicable for a business owner to make money off his/her business. Yes the upline diamonds may make money off the hotel blocks for there team (true or untrue), yet they are also responsible for running their businesses, organizing their teams to elimated chaos and confusion and also planning the massive events. I think one would be hard-pressed to find any corporate entity that doesn't get some kind of kick-back from a locality that desires for said companies to come in and stimulate the local economy. The same principle underlying the fierce competition between cities that wish to host the Olympics.
As for the "system"...the system utilized by the BWW organization has been proven to be successful in the education and motivation of it's business associates (i.e. IBOs). Although it is true that not every, in fact, most, IBOs do not "make it big", it is important to understand that the lessons being taught via this training/support system are no different than any of those taught in any successful business training course. Further, the principles taught are such that one can easily appy them to any business. Therefore, whether an IBO CHOOSES to become "big-time" in this business or any other, the principles being taught are simple, basic, success principles.
Also, take the same arguments listed above and compare those to the average work-a-day world, and tell me that they havn't exploited their "system". Just how many college graduates invest $50-150k in a degree and end up with a job that pays them even half of what it would take to pay those loans off before they've doubled those expenses in interest. Myself, having graduated with an MBA in Accounting and having worked with one of the Big 4, a job that required a degree, I'm now making 3 times the income in a job that i share with barely high school educated people. One fact remains consistent across the board--no matter what the chosen field of endeavor, the only people who will truly make it are the people that choose to make it and in so doing, choose to do whatever it takes.
I know I've rambled long enough, but there is one last point that I believe needs to be addressed: As an IBO, I can either get upset that the Platinum level IBOs and above are making money off the tools that they either help to produce or distribute, or I can get excited that once I reach that level I too will be able to tap into that expanded profit pool! Food for thought, that's all....
Was Debbie with Paul, or are the rumors of the divorce true?
Just wondering, I am an inactive IBO, and can't get any information from anybody regarding Paul and Debbie.
