Ponderous Ponderings
By QBlog in
What happens when you become a really successful Quixtar IBO?
What happens when you begin to meet your goals and reach the PIN levels you dreamed about?
What happens when you achieve Platinum and then Emerald and see that Diamond is within your grasp?
What happens when you pass your direct upline's PIN level?
What happens when you walk across the stage as a Diamond while your direct upline sits in the audience?
What happens when you discover that you're better at building the business than your upline?

How would I bookmark this particular blog entry? If I save this page, then of course it would update the next day when I visit again.
The reason I ask, is that I would be glad to answer these ponderings when they happen to me personally.
Ah David, my delightful blog novice friend. Why, every good blog has a permalink. That's short for "permanent link." Most permalinks are the date or time link that you see at the end of the post. Mine is the time stamp that follows "Posted by QBlog at..."
Click that permalink and that page is in your bookmarks forever.
Qblog,
My ever knowledgeable Blogger, consider it clicked.
THEY CALL ME PASTABAGEL
I think I can answer all of these questions.
What happens in all these situations is that you discover that Amway has taken your time and energy and left you with nothing.
If you shop at costco or walmart you'll save more money than you could possibly make in a lifetime of perstering people in bookstores or at mcdonalds.
If Amway is such a great business, then why is Walmart more successful? Maybe because Walmart cuts prices by taking out the middle man, whereas Amway tries to make money by introducing as many middlemen into the transaction as possible.
Oops, I forgot, that isn't how Amway makes money. It makes money by strong-arming new IBO's into buying stupid tapes and seminars presented by people I wouldn't buy a used car from.
You think your clever, but you're not. On the other hand, I am very clever. I talked one of your diamond drones into lending me the tapes. That was 4 years ago. I still have them. I give them to people I know who are approached by Amway or Quixtar reps, just so they can hear what they are getting into.
I'll be back...
THEY CALL ME PASTABAGEL AND THERE IS NO UPLINE HIGHER THAN ME. I EVEN GET A PERCENTAGE OF GOD'S ACTION.
It's interesting that Bagel boy makes those comments. Unfortunately, it's not necessarily true. The Diamonds and other pins may make money from tools, but Quixtar / Amway / Alticor? No. At least I don't think they would, nor could, because of that talk that De Vos gave in the 1980s about the tools business not being a good thing. He was pretty much against it if you listened to the audio files that's posted on sites like maybe Scott Larken's, or is it Larkin, AmQuix site.
HK, you are correct. With regard to independent distributors making money on motivational/training tapes, books, and rallies, Corporate doesn't approve of that. I don't think that most of the diamonds, emeralds etc, make a lot of money on the tapes books and rallies. I've been in and out of Amway, and other mlm for the last 20 years, studying and/or participating. The cost of some of the larger events is huge, while the cost of participating is not so huge. Most organizations, if there is a "profit" probably keep it for the next big rally. Motivation, training, and energization in a sales organization of independent reps is a daunting task for any organization, whether it's mlm or not. The facts remain that people who don't have the knack or the social environment condusive to building a large retail and wholesale, independent sales force, do better with training and motivation, however they get it. Word of Mouth costs less, but when you've got hundreds or thousands of people in your organization, getting up close and personal with everyone is impossible. You gotta rent some space somewhere if you want to get 'em all toether.
The weird thing that has always bugged me about people who hate mlm and mlmers is that as long as there has been capitalism, there has been independent sales, commissions, overrides, etc. There are other things that bother me about closedmindedness re mlmhaters, perhaps it would be best to write a book about it.
Interesting blog you have here.
Join the mafia, I suppose.
ANYONE reading this:
Ask yourself?
Do you want what any of these broke guys that spent all their time complaining about Amway/Quixtar have?
NO.
exactly... be careful who you take advice from because a little over 99% of these "MLM survivors" just don't have what it takes to create any form of wealth and they compesate their own mediocrity by bringing other people down to their status.....
"BROKE LOSER"
Always make huge, broad sweeping strokes when you generalize about billions of people you have never met, HutleBoy? Want some truth? Truth is, you have most likely never met me, nor any one else who posts on this board. Truth is, you have no clue as to my financial situation, nor do you know the finances of others who post on this board. Yet, you are either brave or stupid enough to generalize all of us as "BROKE LOSER". Why? Are you psychic? Are you just guessing? Either way, you are wrong in both accounts. I am no where near broke, nor am I a loser. And if you want to tell me how great your Quixtar business is, go ahead. Just please refrain from the ad hominen attacks on me when I ask for proof and facts to back up your claims.
Hurtleboy you just brought yourself down by making remarks about people you don't know. And you wonder why many of us don't care to talk to those "in" the business now. Those words show me that you can't think of anything more intelligent to say to back us your "business".
bagel boy, perhaps you should do a little more research before you open your big mouth. the truth about walmart is that it is the biggest biz. in the world because it slashes prices at the cost of their very low paid employees. think i'm wrong? visit your local walmart and ask some of its employees about their lifestyle or about the benifits walmart offers its employees. i wonder if you even know that the biggest biz. in the world doesn"t even offer its employees health insurance. walmart has also tried to enter the online market three times and failed miserably resulting in the layoff of many people. the truth is that walmart wont be the biggest biz. in the next ten to fifteen years in fact it will probably be converting the huge warehouses into low income housing for the people it had to lay off. as for quixtar goes i have never been strong armed at all in to buying any tapes or books...in fact i have been told many times to only purchase them if i could afford to. i have only recieved encouragement and uplifting for my upline as well as countless hours of help from those people and have never been charged a dime for those hours. and i purchase very few tapes and books. so i have a hard time believing your closedminded remarks. i am so tired of people blaming others for their own failures in life. maybe you should take heed of the message at the end of each one of those tapes..."all bussiness support materials are optional and can be cancelled at any time" all i see in this quixtar biz is alot of success for people
I am from MI. and It was funny the day before I heard about this Quixstar problem, we had some one at our house telling us all about what a great way to make money. Yada Yada Yada. When I first moved here I had some friends that were selling Amway stuff. And invited us to a couple of their meetings. At $15.00 a ticket. now thats motivational. ha. Anyway about a month later I was at Sams Club and I saw one of the emeralds shopping there. I watched what they bought in the checkout and everything except the beer was sold thru Amway. When I went out to my car they where parked next to mine. I saw in side thier car about 30 or more Motivational Amway tapes and Books. What a Joke. The people making money do not even buy from thier own company that really woke me up. Sorry so long thought you would get a kick of this little story.
It's a shame that all of these comments are being thrown back and forth about how bad Quixtar and or Amway is was, whatever. The fact of the matter is; EVERY INDIVIDUAL HUMAN BEING has the right to get involved or not get involved in any business or nonbusiness opportunity or nonopportunity IF THEY WANT TO. IT IS THEIR CHOICE. If they take the time to look into whatever it is that they are doing and make a decision to do it, then whatever the result they have to live with it. It is called LIFE. Whether it be the car you choose, the wife/husband you choose, the Job, the friends you are always going to be subject to scrutiny after the fact if things don't turn out as well for you as they did for someone else. So stop all of this talk about how people got cheated out of this and that. They made the choice. I watched the Dateline Show and not one time did they ever say that anyone was kidnapped and forced to do whatever it is they do in that particular business. I personally have worked for some companies that Dateline could do a number on with the Bosses and managers that I worked for also, that would make the story they did tonight look like ameteur night. I'm not an advocate or an opposser of MLM's. This is AMERICA people, thank GOD we have the right to have an opportunity to succeed or fail.
Ask Al Le'Blanc, he had the same problem.
