Quixtar, the company formerly known as Amway
By QBlog in
Non-IBO: Is this Amway?
Quixtar IBO: No, this is Quixtar. This is absolutely NOT Amway. Tell me what you know about Quixtar.
Non-IBO: Hmmmm. Well, didn't it used to be Amway or something?
Quixtar IBO: Absolutely NOT. Amway is a completely separate company that just happens to be owned by Alticor, which also owns Quixtar. They're sister companies but Quixtar was NEVER Amway.
Non-IBO: Oh, ok. Good. So tell me about this Quixtar thing.
FROM TRIANGLE BUSINESS JOURNAL: ...Quixtar, the company formerly known as Amway...

Ah Ha!!!! :D I wonder how all those people became diamonds?? Nobody was involved in Amway prior to Quixtar...Mabye they appointed themselves Diamond, Founders, Crown Ambassador, etc..and took over the new so called Quixtar.
That has to be the stupidest thing I ever heard!!!
This is completely true!
Because we all know that people from one corporation will never go to another corporation for ANY reason, even if the systems that attracted them to the first corporation are very similar to those of the other corporation.
It simply doesn't happen.
People join what they do and stick with it, utterly. That's why nobody ever works more than one job. And when they get fired, they starve and die. Because they don't do anything else!
Why don't these IBindenialO's understand this?
It's not that IBO's changed jobs, it's more like the company changed their name. Amway North America = Quixtar.
Yeah, that's what I'm saying, though! Business people, they stick with their business. We're creatures of staleness, not adaptability!
This whole story PROVES the UNPROVEABLE! We know that both companies are the same because the same people who were highly successful in one joined the other and became highly sucessful in that one! And since that never happens because people never change or adapt, we know that it's really all just a sham.
Good work, guys. I can sleep better tonight.
I think you are completely missing the point, Dwighty, which is Quixtar is just a continuation of Amway North America. All success is a carryover, and there has been little true successful people in Quixtar who were not in Amway. Quixtar has been around for five years now, and how many new, Quixtar only (no Amway) diamonds have broken in North America?
I think you're missing the point, man. I'm AGREEING with you! For years we've been trying to point this out but we can't prove it outside of our own intuitions and assumptions because all facts point to the contrary, but this basic factoid has saved our cause! Because only a few people (outside of those who "left" Amway to "join" Quixtar) have bropken Diamond, we can clearly presume that Quixtar is Amway!
Having said that, I have no earthly clue how we can, but we CAN! And that's all that matters!
Dwighty, you're really coming unhinged. I think you're working too hard.
Get some rest this weekend.
I know I am not being complete in my description here of Quixtar/Amway, the umbrella they are under, but anyway..... If Nabisco decided to change its name to Torrio, I doubt there would be much issue of telling someone that it used to be Nabisco, whereas Quixtar people I met wanted me to not mention the Amway name if at all possible. Quixtar tactics (the core tools, tapes and books and functions junk) sound to me the same as what Amwayers did, but now it's online and there isn't as much pressure if at all to stock your garage with product to sell.
Just because two companies are owned by the same parent company does not mean they are the same thing. Likewise, just because you were a part of one and, when it shut down, they "grandfathered" you into the new business, doesn't mean they are the same thing.
I remember when Quixtar was just beginning -- people had a choice of wether they wanted to be an Amway IBO or a Quixtar IBO. It was up to you. They were two seperate entities. Then Amway went away. That doesn't mean that Quixtar is Amway with a new name... As they both existed simultaneously, it would be pretty difficult.
They are both owned by the same parent company, yes, and are utilizing the same system. That doesn't mean they are the same thing.
Eh -- maybe it's just symantics.
J, don't be fooled. Lisa, dmm and Brendan own national corporations and have several lawyers at their disposal PLUS they all have digrees in business law, are millionaires and maintain yearly consumership in the high 70% so they clearly know what they're talking about. And they're right and you're wrong.
That makes them feel good, J. And it makes me feel good, too. Right down to my left pinky toe.
Dwighty, my company is MULTI-national. NOW who doesn't know the facts?
Oh, bah.
Did you do what I told you to? Did you get some rest? Are you eating right? Get yourself checked out. You have to have your health, you know. We're concerned.
Oh, this is so interesting!! 'J' - this is for you. Yes, Quixtar IS Amway. Same products, same owners, same compensation scheme, same people (Diamonds, IBOs, etc....) Yup, when Quixtar came online in 1999, Amway IBOs had an option...but the kicker??? Amway was now going to be the 'overseas' company, and Quixtar was the US/Canadian company - strictly speaking - subsidiary of. Amway International is actually much more profitable than Quixtar - all the same - just a continuation with a name change and oh, yeah, online!!! That's the way they teach you to recruit new people in Quixtar, by being able to tell them hey, "IT's NOT AMWAY FOLKS, THIS IS Quixtar!!!" HA!!! But we know the truth. It's kind of like getting married for a female....same person - just a different name....might fool some people for a time, but eventually.... you are who you are!
That's funny. I was in Amway, then I was in Amway and Quixtar, then Amway was gone and all of the people that were in Amway were magically in Quixtar, but Quixtar was never Amway.
= )
Sometimes I drink water from a bottle and sometimes I drink water from a glass...but it's still water, isn't it?
