Are You Living Paycheck to Paycheck?

By QBlog in

I've posted an actual scan of an actual "flyer" that was deposited on the actual windshield of my actual SUV during my visit to an actual mall this morning. I know a little bit about Guerrilla Marketing and think it's great to use flyers to promote a business but this particular example is a lesson of what NOT to do.

First of all, if you want to promote a Web site, your URL should NEVER begin with Angelfire, Geocities, Tripod or any of the other "free" sites available on the Web. Spend $9 and get a solid domain that redirects to your free site if you must but don't publish a lengthy URL as this poor dullard has done.

Secondly, and most important, be sure your business isn't a SCAM. This dude's site (or it could be a woman I guess) is basically a hybrid chain letter. Anyway, I thought it was humorous. No, it has NOTHING to do with Quixtar but not everything in life does ya know.

Great Opportunity

I was interested to read the letter from the couple in NV...I also cc'd a letter (to DeVos) to Quixtar that I had written my upline Emerald which detailed my findings regarding the decptive practices, corruption, and outright lies with this business. Only my line of sponsorship was WWDB (now WWG). It really doesn't matter which line of sponsorship you're in, they ALL were trained and split off from THEIR leaders, which were Yeager and Britt...so, for all you IBOs out there, remember...the BAD gets duplicated too!!! I hope more people not only write the company with their complaints, but also use the resources available to write their State Attorney General, the FTC, and their elected officials. The tactics used to get people into a business (the system business, as this letter correctly identifies) through the Quixtar business is so conniving and underhanded. If it isn't illegal, it should be. At the very least, these people do NOT represent the HONESTY AND INTEGRITY they claim is so prevelant in the industry!

Not only should this person get rid of the cumbersome URL. He/she should also PROOFREAD (e.g., "you're answer").

I get all sorts of "Make money from your own home!" messages in my junk e-mail folder, and I'll bet the farm they involve pyramid schemes.

Anyway, this is a great site. Keep up the sharp observations!
