Quixtar and Immigration
By QBlog in
The Louisiana Weekly is a publication that attempts "to represent the interests of our multicultural community in its individual and collective quest for a richer, more dimensional, and meaningful quality of life."
Christopher Tidmore has written a column for The Louisiana Weekly discussing immigration in the United States. He begins his column by describing a recent Quixtar conference he attended in Dallas:
Sitting at a Quixtar conference in Dallas two weeks ago, I became convinced that President Bush's proposed Guest Worker program would work. Throngs of brilliant Indian immigrants, who came to America on a temporary visa for high-tech workers, had played a key role in building one of the fastest growing direct marketing companies in the world. And, it all happened because of a guest worker program.Tidmore goes on to describe how Quixtar has helped thousands of Indian immigrants become a positive economic force within the U.S. economy.
The column is actually about immigration as it relates to Bush's recent proposals but it was interesting to see that immigration topic framed within the context of Quixtar. Misspellings, errors and slopping editing aside, the column is interesting and worth a read.

Yes, it's Quixtar that's using them because it's Quixtar that's hosting the meetings and charging your friends for the books and CDs. It's all Quixtar.
Y'know, they're right. Blaming the system is fun!
i had recently attended a quixtar conference by the Britt association just yesterday it was my first introduction, and now i go searching around looking at what exactly is the big hype, i seen educated likely nortmal minded people over hyped and over excited over getting a new badge, all over what these were capable capable people who could do big... i mean big in the business world judging by their enthusiasm... i simply dont get it... i dont... and i guess under my brother who's an ibo... i'll be an ibo soon... but... i just dont get it ?
Some people get it, some people don't. This business isn't for everybody. Read the book "Master Key to Riches." (no, the author was not paid by quixtar. it was written in the early 1900's) He explains that to be successful you have to have Personal Initiative. That consists of extreme levels of ambition, excitement, and perseverance. Anybody can develop the attributes necessary to be successful in any business venture, however, Personal Initiative is essential. Excitement is crucial. As an entrepeneur you must stay motivated ESPECIALLY when those around are not.
some former friends of mine, are immigrates, and as far as i have seen quixtar is really pushing into this community. mostly cause they keep each other in the business. I really feel that quixtar is using these people. cause they really want to make it here. and easily buy the dream that is quixtar.
watching someone who can hardly afford basic medical care, but send hard earned cash on meetings and books just does not make sense. if quixtar is really a business then why were my former friends so strapped for cash? just did not seem like a money making enterprise.
