Positive
By QBlog in
Many who visit this site feel that I'm a negative person. That I'm trying to destroy something or cause others to fail. I've been classified as "anti-Quixtar" or "anti-MLM" but I've always bristled at such labels. Why? Well, forgive this comparison but it's sort of like the Abortion controversy. WHAT?!? Bear with me for a moment.
Within the Abortion issue there are essentially two extremes, those who support abortion of some kind, and those who don't, with many positions in between. Now the folks who support Abortion like to be called Pro-Choice or seen as advocates for women's rights. Those are "positive" words and their efforts are portrayed as such. However, opposition portrays their efforts as "anti-Life" or something similarly negative.
By the same token, those opposed to Abortion see themselves as Pro-Life and as advocates for strong families and children. Meanwhile, the Pro-Life opposition describes them as "anti-Abortion" which may be true, but it's a negative description and they most often choose to be seen as Life advocates rather than death critics.
So, how does this relate to me? Well, it relates only in the general sense by illustrating the power of words. I have pretty much refused to label myself as "anti-Quixtar" and instead label my efforts as Quixtar Awareness or as a type of watchdog (that is currently a stretch, I admit). However, unlike my Abortion example, I'm neither pro nor anti but focused on providing honest information, opinions and perspectives about the business.
Some folks agree. I've received numerous comments from people who seem to understand what I'm doing here and don't view it as anti-Quixtar. Yet, there are still those who don't understand or completely disagree and that's fine. Not everyone will agree with me or my actions. I just felt it was important to make the point that I personally feel that my efforts here are positive. That I'm working to share with people things that they may not find anywhere else.

I have participated in quixtar for about a year now, and I am not planning on renewing my business. Quixtar feeds off of ignorant people, people that don't understand that one does not make money by driving hundreds of miles to rallies to scream cult-like moronic chants. Also, the real business is based on selling tapes and books, and most of this money ends up in Bill Britt's hands. I feel bad for people who get suckered into this business by con artists like Joe Markiewicz, Alan Leininger and Larry Winters. People need to become aware of the Quixtar scam.
You "Participated". Just driving and going to the function doesn't create an income jackass. You have to show the plan too. If I just drive to work everyday and sit on my ass and not do shit then I'd probably get fired and I would blame it on my boss too right? Get real, go "participate" in a bowling club or a tea room if all you want to do is "participate". But if you decide you want to own your own business and do some work other than just showing up...this is the business for anyone.
I have come to the realization that everyone who has made it in any business venture has developed a strong faith along the way. They are the ones that don't blame others for their failures. These people know that everything has a purpose and some peoples purpose in life is to give others opportunities to succeed. Quixtar gives people that purpose. I have found it through Quixtar. I have lead countless people to Christ through this business and I have developed a relationship with my parents and Fiance that I would have never had if it wasn't for this business. I am making it in this business and I think others should know that yes there is alot of negetive out there but I found just as much negative on my Lord and Savior Jesus Christ. Meaning that it is all just someones opinion. Believe what you want to believe but try it out first before you judge it based off of what others says about it. Put Quixtar and Jesus aside...it goes for anything in your life. People who have never done something will go to great lengths to convince you that you can't either. Also people attemt to destroy others to cover up their own shortcomings. It can truly change your life all you have to have is some faith. Faith in your future gives you power in the present. God Bless.
Quixtar aware is a good term, but the way I see things no matter what profession or venture you choose to do there are going to be positives and negatives. I've worked in retail grocery for 10+ years and found several of the marketing gimmicks grocery chains pull as disgusting. Advertising things such as by 5 gallons of for $10 when the none sale price is $2 a gallon. Lower prices on add items to draw you in and jack everything else up. Grocery retail stores try to claim to be all about customer service but the corporations have cut back on employees so there is no one around to help. The help there is can only get 20 hours a week work and then you have the union doing nothing for you but taking money. So as I said no matter what you choose to do there are negatives and positives.
