I don't take vitamins. In my twisted, malnourished mind, vitamins are placebos. No argument will convince me that I need a vitamin more than I need to simply eat a healthy, well-balanced diet.

I think you're building a strawman here. Saying "eating supplemental vitamins may be very beneficial for some people" is totally different from saying "people need a vitamin more than a healthy, well-balanced diet".
I agree with the former, disagree with the latter.
