Amway sales declining in India?

Found this article titled Amway in India -- Selling Dreams in a Foreign Land. It is from the Pacific News Service which originates from Vietnam and is apparently a respected news source in Asia.
Anyway, the article takes a look at how Amway is impacting Indians and concludes that not many are getting rich.
"At my job I make 22,000 rupees per month (about $465)," says Haresh Pandya, 43, a statistics professor and Amway distributor from Junagadh, three hours by bus from Rajkot. "That is not enough for my dreams," he says.After a year in Amway, Pandya has made no profit, but remains enthusiastic: "I will tell you the potential of this business," he continues. "After seven, 10, maybe 12 years, you will purchase a jet plane from this Amway! Because there are more than 500 persons in America who have their own jet planes, from Amway only."
I don't have any idea what the thing about jet planes is supposed to mean but the article takes an interesting look at Amway in Asia.

i believe amways targets are always dreams, u never reach it.
and just think, this company boasts about turning rocket eng. into soap peddlers, thought these type of rocket eng. are shame for the eng. world
There is question no amway guy can answer satisfactorily. who is your customer and why should he buy from you? try it.

Really? how many ppl have made a positive cash flow to make Bread and Butter? If they have, how, by taking money from others? IT won't last very long, I'm telling u.
It is a god gift, if you don't realise, live like that, and do not disturb others, becoz our government is not doing anything for unemployers, atleast this is helping them alot, by giving bread and butter, and also making them to give bread and butter for more people
If people think that Amway is creating jobs, it’s wrong. Amway is like a casino economy, you get the money from other Amway people. These Amway “peddlers” do not produce anything. They only replace some transport, shopkeepers in a very, very inefficient way.
Why a rocket engineer will carry a bottle of soap to your doorstep when a truck can do it?
Economy grows only if people do some real work. What Amway people do actually? Work as salesperson, and brag about being like Elvis Presley.
