The weekend is over

By QBlog in A/QMOs

Well our uplines have returned home. What an interesting weekend. As you know Quixtar just isn't my cup of tea but every time I see someone show the plan there is one thought that keeps bubbling up to the top of my mind -- I could do this so much better! I've not seen anyone show the plan in a manner that I would be excited about. I've seen the plan shown by 5 different people (including my wife). After I'd been around this a while I keep thinking that these people are awful. Not only are they awful but they are following the "outlined" method as far as I can tell. Nope, there is no "one way" to show the plan but there are some tips and guidelines you are supposed to follow. Anyway, here's my criticisms of the plan but keep in mind I'm no expert and I know that the plan I'm being critical of works, I just can't figure out why or at least I think it could work even better:

1. It's too long. Shorten that plan up. 30 minutes is almost too long but should be the absolute maximum time. Not 1.5 - 2 hours.
2. Be honest and candid. When someone asks a question be ready with an answer that at least seems like you aren't trying to hide anything.
3. Don't ridicule 401ks or the stock market. You'll end up looking like a fool one day. You couldn't be so critical of those things 3 years ago and you won't be able to again one day. Why? Well, it's what everyone is striving for in Quixtar anyway. To be an investor.
4. Quit asking people if they've ever heard of Wal-Mart when you do the Wal-Mart part of the plan. Yes, everyone has heard of Wal-Mart. Everyone shops at Wal-Mart. Why not ask them if they've heard of food or air? Whatever.
5. Don't tell me how much a Diamond or silver or whatever earns if, when I ask you how much you earn, you dodge the question. Be candid. If you're going to volunteer how much others in the business earn then tell everyone how much you earn. Because, ya know, you're standing right there and those diamonds aren't.

That's all I got now. Do this and you'll have a better plan...Or not.

These are exactly the things that are bugging me. Exactly. This whole thing could be summed up much more simply than the stupid presenation. My upline felt that i was asking too many questions. How can one ask too many questions when starting an honest business? If you cant be forthcoming and factual, about the time involved, your upline's upline, and the amount you make a year, there must be a problem. I have totally mixed feelings now. I need to start looking for a real J-O-B, instead of my current one and not immaterial "business opportunities" like this. And since when was the stock market causing 98% of participants to lose money? Did i miss something in economics 101?

I agree the presentations dont need to be so long. And yes everyone has heard of Wal-Mart. Dan whoever is your upline is crazy, because you are suppose to ask questions. My upline loves it when you ask questions and i also love when someone tries to prove me wrong or just wants to know more. Like you say just be truthful. I just got into the business about 3-4 months and i have a blast. good luck to all the IBOs.

lmao about # 4 & 5. i've been to two meetings so far and its the same nonsense

First of all, during a QI, an IBO does not ask if you have heard of Wal-Mart, they explain why Wal-Mart is so sucessful, expalin Wal-Mart's business plan, and show you how IBO's operate by the same business system. If you are going to talk negative about IBO's and Quixtar, get your facts straight...but its good your not in business, ignorant people wouldnt survive.

HEy all...

I've been working on just that...getting my presentation down to an art form...i'm very blessed in that two levels of my upline are family, so they don't care if i spend 2 hours asking every question I can...if it hasn't already been answered in one of the hundreds of tapes I've already got. :)

The only reason you Quixtar critcs are bashing Quixtar is because you havent't made any money in the business. When you can show people to make the same income or more - then you have something to say. Get a life. Sorry - Get an income.

sounds like someone was waiting for america to come to his door instead of getting out there and working for a living. get a personality and help someone else to better thier lives and you will prosper.

They were simply saying that when people show the plan, they would say "Have you ever heard of Walmart?" - same as they would say "Ever heard of Amazon?" Whatever Bill Hawkins says is what people are primarily taught to use. In any case, a bit of advice for your lack of growth. Establish your client base of at least 8 on ditto. These are simply people that you ask to help you from the bottom of your heart. Family and friends, usually. Once you get that accomplished, prospecting won't be difficult when you can honestly say "I'm in a business that makes me $700.00 a month, and I was able to do that in less than a month." James Cunningham is my Emerald and direct upline and I'm telling you, this works. Just get off your ass and put some effort into it!
