The birthday party started at one O'clock but didn't officially begin until the clown showed up at around 1:30. Upon Bitsy Belle's arrival the shindig swung into full gear as the children witnessed magic tricks, played games and got their faces painted.

The trek to Gus's Fried Chicken took the MemphisCows down a winding two-lane highway through the heart of West Tennessee. The car window views of farmland, roadside vegetable stands and aging mobile homes were expected. What was not expected was the wonderfully delicious chicken served at the final destination in Mason, TN.

"It's my party and I'll cry if I want to" goes the old tune and Saturday Robert the BabyCow put those words into action. While a few obligatory party tears were shed during the event, the overwhelming mood of the celebration was set by smiles, grins and squeals of laughter. Those in attendance joined Robert in his enthusiasm for gifts, wrapping paper and homemade clown cake.
