LOTR and now Narnia
Just found out that the director of the Shrek movies is making the Narnia movies. He's using the effects shop (WETA) that made LOTR. There doesn't seem to be a trailer yet but there are some "behind the scenes" featurettes at Apple. From what is show, the movie looks really cool. Kind of the same style as LOTR.
Maybe, just maybe, after they turn the Narnia books into movies, they'll do the same for C.S. Lewis' totally underrated space trilogy.

Where Did I Go?
Good gracious. It's been more than a month since I updated this darn blog thing. Talk about stale content. My only consolation is that at least I didn't say I was shutting down the blog for good, only to resurrect it a month later. While such a move seems popular, I am glad to have avoided it.
So, my last post back in February was about the Blogger Bash that I totally skipped out on. It sounds like fun and I love pizza so I'm sorry I missed it.
I guess I could devote this post to recounting all the events of interest that happened since my last post but I'm getting bored thinking about it so I imagine it wouldn't make for a great read. Instead I'll explain why I've been neglecting this blog lately.
First thing, I got a promotion at work. I'm now the Online Creative Manager which basically means I'm no longer on the Editorial payroll. I've crossed to the "other side" and work in the Advertising Department. However, my role as resident "Web guy" hasn't really changed, my focus has just shifted so that now the first thing I ask is, "How will this make money?"
I have to say, I really like my job and this is a truly exciting time to be doing the online stuff right now. Yet, this new job comes with a bit more responsibility and requires more of my time which gives me less time to blog. Life getting in the way of blogging once again.
Because of the time factor I've had to prioritize my blogging efforts and for various reasons, I've chosen to funnel that energy into one of my other blogs. That other blog has evolved into something totally unexpected, though I'm not sure exactly what.
The most appealing aspect of my other blog is the challenge to generate compelling content for a niche audience. The subject of the blog is a Multilevel Marketing company and I initially thought I'd run out of material after a few months but surprisingly, the content (and inspiration) just keeps coming. It's really fascinating.
And so that blog has consumed some of the time that I would have devoted here in years past.
So, for whatever it's worth, I'm still around and still blogging here and still plan to update the site design and restructure the layout. Plans, plans, plans. I just wish I had more time.
Anyway, thanks for stopping by.
